There are some daily dramas that are worth watching and this is not one of them... Here is why I say that and I'll keep spoilers to a minimum: - plot moves criminally slow. Story wise, this drama has just picked up last week. There have been many episodes where nothing happens. The climax is finally happening at episode 98, when many of us predicted it would happen around the halfway mark. - the actor who plays the ML isn't charismatic enough for me to believe that 3 women are fighting over him... And that he is a popular actor in-universe -repetitive for a daily. Seola's method of revenge is more passive than active (she's writing a drama but we don't actually see that drama performed at all in this show) so there's a lot of repeated scenes and conversations. -the main love triangles ... there's two. The first one is the typical protagonist female character, male lead, antagonist female character... The second one... let's just say the female lead (Jeongin) has a very weird relationship with the male lead. A lot (if not all) of this comment section is weirded out by it. Especially since the writer was portrayed as some kind of pure, innocent love when neither Jeongin or Woojin are either of those things. Unfortunately, explaining this is a huge spoiler in itself - I don't really like Seolah's family especially the grand aunt... they start to show up more once we get in the middle and the plot slows down. Some daily dramas have good side characters, this isn't one of them - the romance (if you can call if that) barely exists. Writer would rather show us 57633 scenes of Taechang getting into debt and threatening people with his gun, or Juryun/Seolah/Woojin having the same conversations (love triangle related) over and over again.
There are some good parts, like Sunae and her sons, and I personally like watching Seokki and Juryun interact... they're my favorite couple. The climax of this drama airs on Monday, and that's a major reason why the majority of us put up with this drama. How the story handles that will greatly influence my (and other's) final opinion on this drama!
FINALLY someone turns the table on Taechang and kidnaps HIM for once! It's so funny watching him cry and be scared after doing the same thing to at least 3 other characters. And of course Sunae is the one behind this... she's consistently been the person in this drama that gets things done. Watching Sunae and her clowns terrorizing him made my night
The conversation that Namjin and Seonju had before he moved out was harsher than I thought it would be lol. You can tell that he's completely over her and... It looks like Seonju is going to move into the affair apartment with Jihyun. Meanwhile, if I were in that position, I'd be questioning the relationship... Not bringing my child right into the middle of it.
Seems like no one in this drama has two brain cells to rub together... except maybe the affair couple (smart in the sense they're sneaky and calculative) ... SangA's mom telling Sowoo that SangA doesn't find him reliable is probably the most honest observation on a relationship in this drama so far!
Yet another drama where the rich chaebol has an inferiority complex towards the poor bright personality heroine, but that comes with the territory of dailies! It would be nice to see a drama where it's the opposite tho 😠if anyone knows a drama where the "poor" character is the one playing the antagonist, please recommend it!
The car accident subplot only started and I'm already over it. For all I care, Miju can stay locked up forever. I am curious to see how Namjin will react when he finds out his wife's sister hit his affair partner's car though... Like other commenters have said, Seonju is extremely naive. Like I rarely complain about naive FLs because they come with the territory of dailies, but Seonju's naivete is excessive. It's mindboggling. That, combined with the prominence of side characters, and the ...interesting... way this show uses comedy makes it a little hard to watch at times. I feel like once the affair gets exposed and the story starts moving, we'll start to see more of our leads and less of their relatives. If the affair isn't exposed by episode 20 I'm out lol
I was thinking similar thoughts even though it's early on, there's gonna be a connection somewhere.
usually these dramas end with the FL taking over the chaebol company in some capacity but because the chaebol family doesn't have any sons, she can't marry into the family in this drama. Her being Sangah's sister would grant her that right though lol
Her voice is so annoying. It's like she's trying to do aegyo but with try hard upper class snobbery. IDK maybe…
I liked it although the FL actress (cha yeryun) is a bit wooden, I recommend it if you want a daily drama where the FL actually has an active role in her revenge
The character Jina is pretty much like the character of Chua, rich spoiled airhead girl who's the younger sister of a lead character... with an obnoxiously whiny voice.
After a certain point I started fast forwarding though all of her non-relevant-to-the-plot scenes. Might start doing the same for Chua's scenes lol
I should be sleeping but I have insomnia... I have a theory that the "man" of the Pi household is actually JungBae... Therefore making Seonju Sangah's sister. There is absolutely no evidence for this so far but 9 times out of 10 if a lead character is missing a parent in a daily drama, and their missing parent isn't confirmed to be dead, it ends up being another character in the story... If this is true I'll laugh but the screenwriter made it obvious something is going on when Chua's mom told JungBae that he had no other successors. Take this with a grain of salt tho 😂
Watching sowoo get strung along is so hard because he reminds me of a sad puppy. (The only thing worse is seeing Sangah be so dismissive towards Taeri - at least Namjin still treats his daughter with love) Thank being said I would much rather watch the affair scenes than all these side characters goofing around lol I feel like I've seen more of the leads family members than the leads themselves!
Chuua did Seonju a favor by hitting her car, hopefully she can get one that doesn't look like it needs to be taped together. And of course the episode ends right as Seonju and Sangah meet each other .. but they went to high school with each other 👀 Looking forward to that part of the story being revealed tomorrow!
