Today's episode opens up with an unexpected moment of seriousness as Namjin suggests that the two break up. For the first time in this drama, Seonju turns the energy down and actually acts her age. As for Sowoo, I was impressed with how he questioned SangA about it... He's slowly becoming my favorite character of the main four
So Soonae lied her way into getting her own salon and Maneun thinks she's her friend? LMFAOOOO okay. That being said, I find the actress who plays younger Soonae to be very pretty.
The preview showed us Chua seeing Namjin and SangA's conversation... but Sowoo?! Guess we'll find out tomorrow... and it seems SangA igoing to turn her antics up to 11 to try to get Seonju and Namjin to divorce. Things are getting interesting
Sidenote, I gigged when Namjin said he got his clothes from a boxing day sale... we don't celebrate that in the US lol
I'm SO glad that Yujin's not actually dead. That would actually break my heart, between that and the child abuse scenes (watching the child!ML expose the abusive mother was so satisfying)
So the orphan girl is Ha Na. That answers my question from yesterday. I wonder if Yujin will be a 3FL? She ends up in the same orphanage as Hana and they are friendly with each other. (Although they're going to be separated come next episode)
Here's hoping the flashbacks don't last for too long...
-Jeongin slips off the roof, her death was ruled accidental -Taechang is on the run because he smuggled benzos…
Of course! To answer the rest of your questions: -jeongin was Woojin's bio mother. (WJ finds out in the last episode, after Jeongin dies.) And yes, she did "love him as a man" (she said this word for word), despite it, you know, being incest. Wild stuff. -Its nothing compelling. Very rushed. He had feelings for her ... she didn't. So there's a time skip in the last 4th of the episode, it's given 'many years' (you couldn't even give us a number, really?) in the future. Seolah and Woojin are running the orphanage where they were raised together. Hyunwoo comes and visits them, telling them about what Juryun and Seokki are doing. There is a little girl in the background. Then he asks what the girls name is. She doesn't answer, so he looks at Seolah. And she just... awkwardly smiles at him. We don't know if she's Woojin and Seolah's kid or if it's a random orphan. -the police know that Jeongin killed Seolah's dad, however, they tell the audience this while investigating Jeongin's murder. There was a real missed opportunity because the story made it seem like Seolah killed her.
I don't have much to say about this episode but the premise is interesting... Seyoung for sure is gonna be a nasty…
I'm assuming the orphan girl is Koo Hana ... I wonder what Yujin's role is supposed to be. According to the preview she "died" (it's in quotes because this is a makjang lol) We will see how this plays out
Btw Na Younghee is mother. She always slays the rich chaebol businesswoman role lol
I don't have much to say about this episode but the premise is interesting... Seyoung for sure is gonna be a nasty piece of work when she gets older. Especially since it seems like Ji Suwon is playing a similar role that she played in Brave Yong Soojung 👀
Looks like Sowoo and Seonju are smarter than I thought and they both seem to be suspecting Namjin and Sangah's affair. But we're still early in the drama AND this is still a daily so I'm not giving them too much credit..
Seonju is annoying. I'm finding it hard to root for her because she comes off as unrealistically immature and kinda dumb for a 30+ y/o woman.
Tomorrows ep looks interesting... Namjin wants him and SangA to leave their partners while SangA wants an affair... and ChuA seems to have overheard the conversation. Will Seonju see her husband for who he really is? Will Sowoo figure things out? Will Chua finally contribute something relevant to the plot? Find out on the next episode of dragon ball z!
The time skip 💀 was that little girl Seolah and Woojin's child or just a random girl at the orphanage?
I definitely watched that scene like 4 times trying to listen out for a "eomma" or "appa" but I didn't hear it, and how it got awkward when Hyunwoo asked her what her is 💀 I guess that's the writers attempt at an open ending
Stopped watching half way, can someone give me a summary what main points happened who ended up with who and what…
-Jeongin slips off the roof, her death was ruled accidental -Taechang is on the run because he smuggled benzos (illegal drug) into Korea. He shoots Woojin and he ends up paralyzed. TC gets arrested off screen for this. There's a time skip. The drama gives it as "many years" -Juryuns bio mom came back & she has cancer. After Jeongin dies and Taechang gets booked she takes care of her mom until she (the bio mom) dies. Juryeon is engaged to Seokki -Woojin and Seolah run the orphanage that they grew up in together. Na Hyunwoo gets second lead syndrome -hyunwoos brother and seola's cousin are together, she's pregnant.
All of that for it to be an accidental death? And Woojin finds out about his mother at the very end. (Maybe if we didn't waste so many scenes on the love triangle, we could've gotten a better written reaction?)
Well.... this is the first daily drama I've watched "live" and I can't believe I didn't drop this. I'm going to say this again: I cannot believe I didn't drop this.
Actors did the best with what they were given, I will probably avoid "drama writing as a tool of revenge" dailies because this just felt... dumb. I actually laughed when the cops said that the drama was hard evidence. Really? Like every drama doesn't start out with a disclaimer that it's a work of fiction and all similarities to irl events is pure coincidence? Theoretically, all Jeongin had to do was keep quiet... no one would be able to tell that Kyungmi = Jeongin. But I digress
The drama summary is misleading - it comes across as a revenge drama, with Seolah being the puppet master. The gag is, Sunae is really the one pulling the strings. Her revenge plot has stronger consequences than Seolah's drama.... and it's more compelling too because you actually see sunae scheming and planning things out. She's ruthless as she has a real reason for revenge... a stronger one than "my amnesiac boyfriend forgot who I am" (yes, Seolah's dad was murdered, but after a certain point of the drama, Seolah's just upset because they aren't together anymore.) I thought JDJ from the third marriage was passive... until Seolah said "hold my soju..." if it weren't for Sunae and Hyunwoo, there would be no "revenge" from Seolah.
That leads to my next paragraph: the love triangle between Juryun, Seolah and Woojin. I don't watch my dailies for romance (I'm here for the revenge) but I can enjoy it if it's writtten well... And not 40+ episodes of confusion and repeated conversations. The screenwriter likes to repeat things in this show too. Taechang kidnaps at least three different cast members, one of which who got kidnapped twice. Some characters do dumb things... like Clark breaking into the Min house knowing damn well that Taechang is loaded, locked and ready to rock with his lil rifle. Then we get scenes of Seolah's family members shocked and upset that Taechang shot Clark... despite it being well established that Taechang is not to be messed with!
Side note, normally in dailies the side characters have their own storylines but with Seolah's family it felt like a podcast where they're all sitting at that table in the living room, commenting on whatever else is going on in the story LOL
Regardless, Juryeon and Seokki ended up together & are getting married (all I really care about after the writer fumbled Jeongin's death), I don't believe Taechang reformed for a second, and I am so glad I won't have to be subjected to the great aunt and the rest of Seolah's annoying family. I'm glad Eunbyeol was a friend to the end, I remember in the beginning there was speculation that she would be a romantic rival towards Hyunwoo.
As for our "main" couple. Seolah ends up back with Woojin 🤮 they have no chemistry. I had thought that Seolah would end up with Hyunwoo but NOPE, first love triumphs over all, even if there's no chemistry. I mean this in the most respectful way but Woojin's actor is the worst male lead (performance wise) I've seen in a daily. He's very wooden and ... uncharismatic. It's very jarring when in-universe, his character is hyped up like he's the best thing since sliced bread. Also... is that little girl their daughter or a random child at the orphanage? It's probably the former (since it got SUPER awkward when Hyunwoo asked what her name is)
3/10. Not going on my "daily dramas I would watch again" list. I begrudgingly give it a sympathy star because I appreciate when dailies aren't centered around fashion or makeup companies as they usually are. The one interesting thing with the sponsorship storyline... I've been following k-entertainment for a long time, so it was amusing to see how handling a scandal was portrayed, even if it's only a drama haha
Here's hoping Cinderella Game is a bit more exciting and the leads actually have chemistry with each other. I was going to watch red shoes next, as it has the same writer, but I'm not sure about that anymore...
seonju and sangah -> schoolmatessowoo and namjin -> university schoolmatesmiju and chua -> stylist/client ...…
Once they showed the flashback of the two moms in their hometown, and Seonju's mom invited Sangah's mom to live with her, I believe there's a 80% chance that was the catalyst that caused the husband to leave the Pi family
seonju and sangah -> schoolmates sowoo and namjin -> university schoolmates miju and chua -> stylist/client ... also both are (or in mijus case, were) actresses the moms -> village friends am i missing anybody?
So Soonae lied her way into getting her own salon and Maneun thinks she's her friend? LMFAOOOO okay. That being said, I find the actress who plays younger Soonae to be very pretty.

I'll take it over her crying and whining about her husband leaving and her daughters flaws though
And yes, I'm sure Choi Woong is a nice person but not very good at playing the lead!
-Taechang is on the run because he smuggled benzos (illegal drug) into Korea. He shoots Woojin and he ends up paralyzed. TC gets arrested off screen for this.
