It seems that the prevailing opinion here is that Jangmi's marriage proposal was in bad taste/badly written. I really didn't like the whole "marry me if you think you can make me fall in love with you" thing because that's... Not how relationships work 😭 and it immediately soured me on Baekho and Jangmi's relationship.
Like first we had Junho talking about marrying Jangmi like he's going to force her (which annoyed me bc Junho was my favorite up until that point... It felt like character assassination lol) and now we have Jangmi doing ... whatever she's doing with Junho... While dating his brother. I guess the writer finds this kind of stuff romantic but I don't 😭 it just feels dated to me.
it would be great if Junho told Baekho about Jangmi's offer and they choose brotherhood and take down Hwayoung together... a girl can dream lol
I swear if Jangmi starts crying to Baekho about how much she loves him during that picnic scene I'm fast forwarding through lol
As for the marriage I think it will change the mood and not in a good way (for me) for starters Baekho will be sad, Junho will probably start overcompensating to win Jangmi. Hongju will become empowered to keep harassing Baekho ,(annoying viewers in the process) .... all while Hwayoung stays winning 😭
Good points. I just hope the writer doesn't wait until episode 117 to address all of these lol. So much of this drama has been Hwayoung doing evil things and Jangmi just twiddling her thumbs and otherwise being indecisive lol
I fully believe Taepyung and Baekho will be the ones to find Seorin .... not Jangmi... they're the ones doing the heavy lifting anyway!
Originally I thought I would be a dahae shooter (still kinda am... not just anyone can go from poor orphan to first lady of SK 🤣) but this drama's title is fitting because Dahae's ambition is something else. I'm enjoying her rise to power and watching her take down those in her way
I like Dokyung and Dohoon. Dohoon reminds me of a puppy and he's a nice break from the intensity and scheming going on lol meanwhile I am geeked because my theory about Dokyung was correct! 😭 I like Dokyung
Then Ms. Hong, Taebaek (?) and Samdo! Every revenge drama leads needs their wingmen and they do a great job lol. Haven't enjoyed seeing a wedding get disrupted this much since Ice Adonis.
Haryu has grown on me a lot as well especially after he became Jaewoong. He is giving revenge incarnate and I love it.
I'm on episode 13 so at the part where Haryu starts getting closer to the Baeks and I'm very much enjoying how the drama seems to be moving faster since episode 10.
I'm pouring one out for the real Jaewoong tho he didn't deserve to go out like that 😭
The funniest thing about this drama's love triangle is that Jangmi is quite possibly the driest FL that I've seen in a while. The most unrealistic thing is that both brothers are pining for her... Also for someone who "loves" Baekho so much ... Jangmi keeps a A LOT of secrets from him but that's none of my business ☕
I swear this would be so much more enjoyable if the brothers put this crap on the back burner and team up?? Like you have a lawyer at your disposal, Seorin's money, and Junho, being Hwayoung's son, is a loaded gun in the sense that he's Hwayoung's biggest weakness. We could get some real nasty schemes that could bring Hwayoung to her knees but the best thing Jangmi can think up after ~40 episodes is to marry Junho and "take him away from Hwayoung"? (And BTW she didn't think this up on her own! She only agreed to Hwayoung's demand after being strong armed into it because Hwayoung's people shook down the side dish shop!)

My eyes were rolling into the back of my head when Jangmi said "if you think you have the confidence to make me love you, then marry me" to Junho. I don't ever want to see her cry about hurting Baekho ever again after that. If you love someone you don't challenge someone else into making you want to chose them. Full stop 😭
Well. I guess I'll be watching this as "the rise and fall of chae hwayoung" she's basically the main character who's actually doing things and making moves. All Jangmi is capable of doing is taking Ls and delivering monologues about how she's gonna get Hwayoung but fails to put her money where her mouth is. Every. Single. Time. Even her method of revenge (marrying Junho) is basically giving Hwayoung what she wants lol
I'm just here for whenever Seorin wakes up and for whatever scheme Baekho and Taepyung pull off next since they seem to be the only characters that got the memo that they're in a revenge drama lol. Taepyung has become a sleeper fave of mine in this drama (as well as Geumsoon!)

As for who the first man is? I figure it's Seorin and Jangmi's bio dad, but right now it's hard to pinpoint who exactly the first man is lol
Today's episode felt like fodder for the shippers but for me (who's firmly on Team No One) the highlight was ... Hwayoung's steam stunt going awry and Junho being the unintended victim. lol judging by the preview I'm going to guess Jangmi is going to do a complete 180 on marrying Junho causing more unnecessary angst with Baekho lol. Then she will get revenge on Hwayoung by "taking Junho from her" lmfaooo please... can Seorin wake up soon because that sounds painful and completely disproportionate to Hwayoung's crimes.

Ok ok so it's not just me. The irony is Taepyung has grown on me a lot BECAUSE of his role in the revenge.
This is a problem with Seo Hyunjoo's (the writer) dramas imo I've said elsewhere that she's great at creating revenge worthy scenarios and excellent at throwing a love triangle in but when it comes to the FL executing the revenge that's where things start falling apart... bc she usually ends up relying way too much on the ML / other characters. The third marriage had the same issues and I had dropped it by this point however I like Eunjung and Junho's storyline with Hwayoung as well as Taepyung evolving into a revenge incarnate. So I'm invested lol
Hongju and Scamwol are pretty much the comedic relief characters atp just like everyone else in Jangmi's family sans Taepyung are used as bomdama ambassadors lol. With 38 episodes left they could become actual villains but I'm not holding my breath lol
I wonder if Baekho's adoption will be relevant to the plot. Junho is Hwayoung's son and I think her secretary is Junho's dad... so I wonder if Baekho's parents are going to show up... or if we already met them lol
