FL being the Queen Dowager's gossip columnist was crazy good too!

Attended the Shin Se Kyung school of acting. :)

Performative, in the sense that they are acting as a married couple to an audience (boss and coworkers). To me, childhood friend appears to have multiple hidden agendas and is performing to mom to garner approval of a marital relationship with her daughter. His audience is the other moms/ladies in the hospital room. With that being said, we can agree to disagree about implied and demonstrated behaviors by our 2ML character. However, FL continues to put him in the friend zone and has demonstrated, with appropriate verbiage to both he and mom, that he is just a friend.

The ML character is showing that he fell into a deep love and adoration of the FL and is trying to pull back, but hormones can rule sometimes. It complicates things further by FL confessing to being swayed by him. Most definitely red flag behavior, since those feelings are causing him to misstep. Notice how those same deep, hidden feelings are also causing our 2ML to misstep. Yes, FL has confessed to being swayed by ML.

I see your point. Not wanting to have money interfere with friendship and being loving to her family are good. However, I see problem solving by ML instead of critical thinking jointly. I want more from her character.

Exactly!!!!!! As a mom, I don't see him as husband material. He's barely getting by with his son -- how's he gonna provide for a partner in this economy! I see his jealousy and demonstrative behaviors as abusive. AND, he doesn't respect DaRim's choices.

Of course, I love the emotional ride this drama is taking me on! :)

When FL told ML he reminds her of her father and all of those "rescues" made by daddy. That let me know that our FL is permanently locked into "rescue me" mode. Girl, grow up!!!!! Learn to rescue yourself! ML, please stop making your little princess dysfunctional.

NGL, SML acting like he owns DaRim! AND he still refuses to clarify his feelings to SFL, even though he sees his son falling hard for her. I side-eyed him so hard I saw inside my skull! Sus azz man child!

I think it was because that was not his typical behavior and she probably wasn't sure if it was real or performative. To me, it was hella OTT and just extreme jealousy. My response to that level of frightening worry is, "Calm down Beavis!"

I see something brewing between the secretary and the single mom.

I felt that his affection for FL WAS the reason for their divorce. He doesn't bother to hide his affection and now that they're "married," it's given him the excuse to be even more grandiose!

Interesting how both 2FL and 2ML are both hanging on for crumbs.

Looks like our 2FL is about to do some necessary pruning of her family tree. Looks like a set up of daddy dearest with the attempted murder weapon is in our future.

It's gonna get messier. 2FL has a lot of petty and I don't want to see the son hurt in the process.

ML constantly rescuing her is not allowing her to learn accountability. Both sisters are missing that growth opportunity with their poor life decisions.

His son was honest and doesn't see Da Rim as girlfriend or "mom" material. SML should stop deluding himself. He's saving space for Da Rim and 2FL knows it's impossible and so she's hoping to occupy that space. The concerning part is 2ML hasn't taken the time to tell his son that's he's not interested in 2FL AND he's not directly discouraging her actions.

2C feels so "rebound" to me.

2ML is deluding himself to thinking that FL will like him romantically and he's saving space for that, which is sly. NGL, that action makes him an opportunist and I don't like it. Ugh!

Or they will get to know each other in the hospital. Maybe FL's mom will help ML's mom working through her illness.

If he's willing to hear her out. He may be sympathetic because he thinks fake hubby is cheating.
