Also in the novel, she came to human form due to the meteorite her master (and his master) discovered. He accidentally buried the meteorite in a potted plant and it caused the plant to go bigger and changed to human form. He and his master killed it by chopping returning it back to what it originally was. I guess the meteorite in feeding the plant, became smaller, and this smaller meteorite is what he used to create Si Teng.

I wonder if the bracelet DZG has is remnants of that meteorite.

I don't recall the novel ever having him said "I love you", but by his actions and other words as well as what others have to say/thoughts he definitely cares for/she is the only girl in his heart/she is the only one for him.

Bai Ying never thought of him as a relation, but more of a tool (due to the 7-9 years she endured living among humans after killing Si Teng). She even heartlessly threw him off a 17 floor building just to get back at Si Teng soon after she was revived.

Bai Ying asked the Qin and Jia family to wait this long likely because she wanted those masters to die out before she was resurrected (and by then the times would have changed, people may feel differently about their kind). She also wouldn't know whether her descendant would end up being male or female.

In the novel, just like at the beginning of the drama when Si Teng comes to the warehouse to tell Bai Ying what the master and lover plan to do to kill Bai Ying (I don't think either men knew that were 2 "Si Teng"), Bai Ying probably either doesn't completely believe Si Teng or she knows but still hopes to be with her lover and Si Teng is in the way.

Si Teng feels that Bai Ying is the stronger of the 2.

In the years after killing Si Teng, Bai Ying suffered/finally realized what her lover/humans were like. She concocted a well-laid plan that involved so many people just so she would eventually be resurrected (Si Teng has to be resurrected first) and probably either recombine with Si Teng or take over Si Teng just because Bai Ying is stronger.

Like I wrote, they changed DZG from what he was in the novel. His story pretty much ended when Qin Fang parted ways after learning the truth behind his 1st gf's death.

There definitely is more to DZG in the drama and my suspicions is he might be someone Yan Fu Rui might know (maybe in a different form) just because he rubbed YFR's head and called him "A Fu". Don't know if DZG has always been like this or only starting from the scene we saw him not feeling well the night he pushed QF's 1st gf into the pool.

Qin Feng will end up being part demon (at least in the novel) cuz Bai Ying pushed him off of the 17th floor of a building, he only had a slight breath left. Si Teng deceived Bai Ying to give up her powers to him for his body to heal, so he eventually doesn't age either.

In novel, Qin Fang is supposedly a descendant of Bai Qing (she is his grandmother). I don't know if that will change in the drama or not.

In the novel, a baby (not likely Qin Fang's grandpa, but one Bai Qing stole to replace her baby) actually died due to asphyxiation because the young kid (now old of course) with the masters at the time held the baby too closely in his arms smothering the child.

Also no matter how they tried to burn Bai Qing's body, they couldn't turn it into ashes, so Si Teng's master decided to take the body away but somehow the body went missing on the way.

When Si Teng discussed the splitting in the novel, she considered it a sickness that demons like her can get, though rare

It is Bai Ying who is married to the man. Si Teng fell out of love with the guy once she saw how he reacted to seeing her in her true form. It is sometime after that that she escaped her "master" and went to Shanghai. That guy comes to try and woo her/ask for her hand in marriage because the "master" promised to help him stay rich (in novel, he had a total of 3 wives, Bai Ying being no. 2) if he got her pregnant so they could destroy her. Bai Ying split from Ti Seng's body because Bai Ying wanted to marry the guy.

If the drama follows the novel, ML is supposedly a descendent of Bai Ying (she is his grandma)...and since Bai Ying is 1 part of FL, thats why ML was able to being her back to life at the beginning of drama.

In the novel DZG has no power, he is just human. He pushed QF's 1st gf into the pool in his villa when she was drunk, when he regretted to pull her out, it was too late. In the novel he has alter with her picture and all these things/pins stuck in her picture due to his having nightmares of her death. That was slightly changed in the drama.

Si Teng is looking for her look-alike, Bai Ying. That woman you are referring to is Jia Gui Zhi, the grand daughter of the rickshaw driver who was ordered by Bai Ying (she put the rattan poison in his body, similar to what Si Teng did to all those taoist (?) masters to force to do her bidding) and bury Si Teng in that land.

Bai Ying is pretty much a part of Si Teng. She split from original Si Teng when the two differed on their love/hate/indifference for Shao Yan Kuan. When she originally killed Si Teng in the warehouse those years ago, it was all part of a plan she concocted to eventually resurrect herself--that's why before she was "killed" in 1946 (?) her parting words was that she will return.

Novel: Little boy dies in the hotel/hostel. Qin Fang's friend, Dan Zhi Gang in the novel, his arc pretty much ends when Qin Fang finds out how he was involved with Qing Fang's first gf's death. Here in the drama, he somehow also knows Si Tang???!

They changed some stuff from the novel.

In the novel FL pretty much only wears cheongsam until she finds the one who looks like her.

From the looks of it, the drama is staying pretty close to the novel at least in the first 10 episodes
