Great review! I love SIG too - I've probably watched him in more dramas than any of my other favorite actors.…
What I love so much about Seo In Guk is that he's played such different characters over the years and he manages to do each soooo well. Also, it doesn't hurt that he's handsome. ;P
So I never considered subscribing to Kocowa specifically, but for a 3 month free trial, you can't go wrong. Haha. Thanks for posting this. I signed up and I'll see if I like it. :D
I remember I wanted to watch this one a long time ago and then I didn't - but now that I know I really like Song…
YAY! I'm glad I was able to remind you as to why you absolutely have to watch My Princess! I tried watching Black (and SSH was amazing!) but it was so very dark in plot that I just couldn't stomach it. Song Seung Heon is in Wonderful Nightmare (the movie) as well and that was a very good movie.
This was one I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would - and never would have watched it if my friend hadn't…
The back story for Dal Po was so very sad. It literally hurt my chest. Jin Kyung did an amazing job portraying her character in the past and in the present.
Jang Na Ra killed those scenes where she was heartbroken for her son and for her mother! Another one of my favorites!…
I absolutely loved it too! What really got me was when Choi Ban Do (the ex/husband) ran with absolutely NO hesitation to save Ma Jin Joo by shoving her out of the way with the child before they were hit by that car. Omo. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it. Tears started falling down my cheeks before I even realized I was crying. It really showed the difference in depth of feelings where Jung Nam Gil (ex/wife love interest) simply looked on in horror, while Ban Do sprinted to save the love of his life and their "child." This particular scene is what made the drama for me.
I really thought I was going to end up loving this so much that it would be on my favorites list. It was such…
I KNOW! I thought I was gonna love it too, but I was soooo disappointed. For me, I couldn't give it a high rating, even though the beginning was nice, because the ending and lack of progression really killed me. Ya know?
This is a very honest review and I really appreciate that. Your remarks about the US police force being under respected and under appreciated are my sentiments exactly. While I'm not personally attached to anyone in the police force, I am constantly infuriated with how easily people point fingers making ridiculous accusations when they're not even taking the police officer's situations into consideration. Live has been on my To Watch list for a while and this only persuades me to watch it sooner rather than later.
History is cruel, it never mean to be glossy and beautiful like how a lot of dramas present :)
You're probably right. I guess with my review I simply meant that it wasn't what I find to be enjoyable when I'm trying to unwind from the day. I personally like the historical dramas that romanticize history, even though I know that that's not representative of how it really happened. :)
Right?! That's what I thought too! I feel like they could have done away with the study abroad and had them go straight to cooking in their respective locations. The producers could have saved that time and used it to give us a better wrap up of chef's sister.
I liked it a lot but some things about the ending and throughout bothered me a bit. We never fully learned about…
I know exactly now you feel! I just finished this and I was left feeling unsatisfied with the ending for the sister, Eun-hee. I watched this drama with someone else and we think that while the main villain guy had bad temptations (like almost clubbing his father with the pipe) he didn't appear to actually have the will follow through. I absolutely agree that he was troubled and lacked affection, but I don't think he was an evil guy until AFTER he is possessed. I mean, think about how he cried about his father looking to take care of his younger sibling for ice cream and therefore couldn't hurt him the way he wanted to. Also, his devastation when he realizes he unintentionally hit someone with his car (which is when he gets possessed and does all those evil things). So, I'm not sure if I would say he is evil, even though it's really hard to separate the man from the evil spirit. Which leads me to the plot hole of the ending- does his wife know everything about the ghosts and his possession and that's why she still supports him or is she just a very forgiving and kind person (which is very hard for me to swallow, personally)? I think we definitely needed more details on this part of the ending for all the loose ends to be finished.
I can sympathize with what you were looking for, but for me personally, I was not missing that fluff. My husband…
That's what I mean by it being implied that he has a significant other. All we see is him leaving the reunion in a car that comes to pick him him up and he's smiling.
I can sympathize with what you were looking for, but for me personally, I was not missing that fluff. My husband…
That's no entirely true...in the end, it is implied that he ends up with someone based on the way the scene is done. I do personally wish that we got to see their partner and happy ending more fully though
I can sympathize with what you were looking for, but for me personally, I was not missing that fluff. My husband…
I watched Reply 1994 and it seems like there will be, but in the end there's not (which upsets some viewers). I have not watched Reply 1988 yet, but I will be. I can try to update this forum when I finish it if you'd like!
The bond between the friends was so beautiful and amazing to watch. They were a lot closer that in Reply 1997.…
Right?! that's exactly how I am feeling right now. I think the amount Chilbong ended up suffering was unjust - especially since he didn't get a well thought-out love interest. I think overall the comedy was better, but I liked the relationship between the leads and their family in 1997 better.
I tried watching Black (and SSH was amazing!) but it was so very dark in plot that I just couldn't stomach it.
