They have crazy chemistry. The production house for this one makes some very good shows (be my favorite, the shipper) so I'm positive it'll be banger. Can't wait.
From the trailer it seems like Firstkhao are getting typecasted. Their roles here look like Sandray in another setting and Sandray's dynamic was already similar to Akkayan. I saw First said he's gonna be the one flirting this time around but I didn't really get that from the trailer. Hoping the final series will be very different idk.
Another thing I'll complain about (I only have complaints ok) is that if this is adapting The taming of the shrew, which is the same play that 10 things I hate about you was adapted from, WHY did they give the Kat/Patrick roles for Joongdunk? First could've played a perfect Heath Ledger with that smile he has. Imagine that scene where Kat speaks in front of the whole class and numbers the 10 things she hates about Patrick while Patrick watches emotionally (ik this series is not gonna have that but it's just for reference), who do you think would pull that scene off better? Joongdunk or Firstkhao? exactly. Damn I only see wasted potential, sorry.
Idc about Joongdunk tbh, didn't feel anything for them in this trailer (as I didn't for FK but oh well), and I'm not very into "crime/mafia" themes, so this might be the one BL/GL i'm the least excited for from this year's lineup.
Winnysatang are the biggest surprise to me here cuz I didn't really care for them in MSP but here they are giving me EVERYthing! On the other hand I came into this show with my mind set on Pondphuwin but they're the ones I'm enjoying the least. I think a big part of that is due to the dynamic, i don't think i'm that into that "be a slave for me" dynamic, it's tired, feels derivative. There's also the point that somehow I'm thinking they are delivering the least impressive performances here. It's not bad bad but I think the other actors are shining more. Pond especially is always kinda stiff in his roles, I tend to ignore it cuz i think his biggest talent is being charming and very good looking but when the others are so much better, it becomes distracting. Now what i need to see MORE is Poon (and Marc). His character is so bubbly and he's so funny, he's doing really good and i want to see him more.
The show has a "serious" atmosphere but the characters behave like kids, it's annoying. Idk but I expected a ch3 production to have better acting, everyone felt amateurish except for maybe Billy. The dialogues are also very unimaginative and i could be completely wrong but from where i stopped, halfway through episode 3, i could already tell what the "plot twists" were all about. Maybe it'd surprise me if I kept going but it's too long, every episode is as long as a movie, and I'm too impatient.
Really tried giving this a chance but (i watched til halfway through ep3) there's nothing to hook me here other than Pavel's performance but that's not enough for me to endure 13 1h episodes, i'm sorry. The guy who plays Charlie is kinda not good at all? it's distracting. Who in the casting had the idea to pair him with Pavel who exudes charm and charisma? At the end i don't feel any chemistry cuz only one side is giving something. There was an interesting interaction between the guy who doesn't like being touched and the guy who fixes cars in ep3 that gave more tension than any scene of Charlie and Babe i'd seen til that point.
This show is just showing me which couple should be leading this show... and it's not Pond and Phuwin.. but I…
I thought the same. Winnysatang really shone in their scenes meanwhile pondphuwin kinda gave nothing. it's supposed to serve enemies to lovers but it's serving cringe, not very convincing. And i like the two so hmm i expected better (i think).
Why is the rating so low!!! The first episode was really good, the actors are good (keen better than sea but they're good together), pacing is good, it's cute and funny without being cringey. I'm so pleasantly surprised yesss finally a good gmmtv show (We Are is a mess).
Damn I didn't like this at all. There's not really a plot, just an idea of what could've been a plot, but nothing has any real depth to it so I just couldn't get attached. Also I didn't feel any chemistry between the main couple and those characters as a pairing don't make any sense to me(and they meet when one of them is an underage student too!!) I was enjoying their dynamic in the beginning when they were bickering and student guy had a cool assertive personality, but as soon as they fell in love and became a couple pluft! Taiwan seems to have a huge boner for bl tropes like falling over each other with slow motion bc that was used all the time in the first eps. Seems to be a way to sell the romance. Anyways I probably would've liked it more if they embranced the camp ALL the way but it just became corny after a while. One think i have to say is the side couple have really great chemistry, ooof, too bad their plot was inexistent too. But their scenes were still enjoyable.
I believe tv ratings don't matter that much for any of these gmmtv bls plus this show seems to perform well in the thai streaming platform (viu) and its youtube views are pretty decent too. So as long as the pairing has some sizeable fanbase they will keep on promoting them even if they suck pfff.
The one thing I don't understand is why an actor agrees to continue being into a bl ship doing bl shows if he clearly despises kissing men (chimon's case). Like i'm sure if he told higher ups at gmmtv that he's not into doing bls (which i believe he kinda did before being paired with perth?) they wouldn't force him into anything, especially since perthchimon is not ohmnanon levels popular to justify being forced together if they don't want to be (happened to ohmnanon for a while). So what is the reason? I think gmmtv needs to stop a bit with the pairings, i have nothing against the existence of pairings and there are some i like, but there's already way too many and some of them don't work that well together, clearly.
I dont really understand, there are no scenes from the first trailerThey put them all away and re-filmd..? like…
First trailer is filmed only to announce the series and get sponsors. That trailer was filmed sometime around late 2022 and the actual series was filmed from june-august 2023. Nothing from the pilot trailer footage makes into the final show. They do that with all their shows.

I think a big part of the lukewarm reception to the topmew pairing comes from how unclear it is what the show is going for with them. What is it? Boston and nick are sexy, sensual and have a lot of drama; Sand and ray are romantic, wholesome and also dramatic. There's an audience for both of those things. I'm wondering if maybe topmew are meant to be suspenseful and intriguing? But no matter what dynamic you choose to work with, it needs to be exciting for the audience and from what i see almost everywhere the audience is not really excited about them. Maybe it would've worked better with other actors. I don't have anything against forcebook but i feel like they excell more with simpler and fluffier storylines. I'm not sure.
There is a point that can be made about them being supposed to be like that, to have not much chemistry (i'm speaking from what other people say), to be "boring". But you can't give boring to the audience and expect them to care about it. Will the audience care when this storyline reaches its climax and the couple breaks up? We have to feel bad about the characters, or at least we have to feel something about them.
Another thing i'm thinking is that while boston being a big agent of chaos is entertaining, it might also be a bit predictable and redundant to always have the very same character creating all the conflicts. It's like he's the big villain terrorizing the other people trying to live their lives, but i feel like this show's point isn't really to have a "villain"? I think i'd be nice if the chaos came from other sources too. But there's still quite a few episodes to go and i bet we'll get more characters losing their sh!ts and doing messy stuff (hoping for nick and sand to snap, maybe mew too).
but the trailer does kinda imply that Book as Mew is the "main MAIN" character. i honestly don't get the negativity…
The series focuses on the three friends mew, boston and ray, their lives and relationships. book said that himself like yesterday when he was asked about this.
cannot wait for this series that will show us different and diverse relationships between friends and lovers without having the pressure to focus on a "main MAIN" character or pairing because imo ensemble shows tend to gmmtv's BEST ones ❤️
There first episode actually trended #2 in the whole Thailand and #47 in the world yet GMMTV ignored them, their…
Their episodes don't even have one single part above 1M views on youtube after an entire week (something all the other specials managed to do) and that says something. Not saying they deserve to be paid dust but the company won't invest too much on a ship that doesn't bring revenue. Them getting a new series this year is already a great thing and if that one series succeed they'll start getting more promotion.
