most likely, she’s just had bad luck and poor resources. there’s a huge gap between her and other actresses from her generation (the 95🌸 — born between 1995 and 1999). for example, actresses like Guan Xiaotong, Yu Shuxin, Zhao Lusi, Zhou Ye, Zhang Jingyi, Wang Churan, Song Zu’er, Li Landi, Tian Xiwei, Wang Yuwen, Ren Min, and Zhou Yiran. C-ent is massive, even more than K-ent, and super competitive. if you don’t use your momentum wisely and keep choosing bad scripts, you’ll end up fading among brighter stars. let’s just hope luck finds her again so she can shine bright instead of being stuck as the FL in low-budget dramas or the nth supporting role in big productions.
i just finished episode 8, and honestly, i’m not really into how the story started. it’s such a coincidence you mentioned this in your review, because i was like, yes exactly?? i felt the same way. and i was kinda shocked to find out that the whole lie plot drags on for 20 episodes?? omg.
now i’m not super motivated to keep going, but i still wanna watch ji bozai, xun ming, physician yan, and situ ling a bit longer. oh, can i ask something? do the main leads eventually form a fun little squad? i love dramas with a cute small friend group... it always gives me a reason to stick around and keep watching.

the others, like Zhang Yunlong, is solid B-lister... Ding Yuxi’s a B-lister too, but he’s a rising star now and has potential to be bigger in the future. Wu Xuanyi and Zhai Xiaowen are more known as idols, and they are not nugu idols but still B-listers as actors and they're smart enough to stabilize their positions as second couple in big projects. Better than being main leads in low budget dramas tho. and Shen Yue? she’s a B-lister who’s most likely dropped to C-lister status.
