since i’ve watched so many dramas, i usually judge them based on the first 2 episodes. i don’t really feel like putting in the effort to watch dramas anymore. plus, dropping 4 episodes at once doesn’t mean all of them have to feel like introductions. plenty of dramas are already interesting from episode 1.
also, reading leaks just kills my mood to watch. but since this one’s really popular and i like the whole cast, i’m willing to give it another shot... i just need to know when it actually starts getting good. maybe out of thousands of viewers, someone out there feels the same way i do.

I thought it started getting good around episode 4, I did actually like the first three episodes for all the weirdness…
the first few minutes of episode 1 were actually pretty interesting, but i started getting bored when mingyi began getting close to jin bozai in such a reckless, unstrategic way. i’m just not in the phase where silly plots appeal to me anymore. thanks for the insight, allimaclhad! at least now i know the story gets more engaging and serious later on.
