for people critisizing this, don't forget this show is an idol drama. In this kind of show, what matters more are the fleeting emotions and feelings you get in the moment, along with beautiful scenes that are easy to clip and edit.In this kind of show, these surface-level things matter more than deep, long-lasting impact. That includes getting into the characters' backgrounds. I'm pretty sure most people watching this show don't have the patience for political dramas that explore every single aspect of the characters, like Nirvana in Fire. And this show isn't trying to compete with those anyway. For an idol drama, this show has just enough romance and an interesting enough plot that doesn't get boring.if you're looking for something more realistic and natural, this isn't for you.
I guess I hate the ML and the FL; they're not likeable people, and I just don't care about them or their love story.I hope other watchers enjoy it 💕 Bye.
it's nothing special. to me, it's far from being cheng lei's best drama.too boring and draggy. There are some small twists but nothing exciting tbh. if you actually like the story, watch the donghua.
this drama is so good ! ( old wuxia fan here ) i love that they actually use their swords to fight and the plot is very interesting so far...i wasn't bothered by the editing but it gets better after ep5
Reading the comments here, I'm left wondering when did drama viewers become like this? How are you expecting to…
I get you. Reading through the comments gave me a headache . There’s just so much negativity and overthinking. People can’t just enjoy something without picking it apart, or at least just move on if it’s not for them.
I'm on episode 4 and the dialogues seem a bit long and boring to me ... Does it get better? Should I continue? Ilike long dialogues, but here I feel like the dialogues are unnecessarily long and boring.
Guess I'm part of the minority who wasn't able to push through this drama. One of my highly anticipated dramas…
I totally get it. I had the same feeling when I watched the romantic scenes in this show, and I can say I didn't enjoy it. To be honest, I'm not sure if it was the acting or the plot, but their romantic scenes felt so forced and fake. It was like they were both faking it, and I could see it clearly on their faces...I'm a fan of LYX and HMH, but this show just didn't click for me. I couldn't get into it, and I didn't want to feel more disappointed so i dropped it. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I liked the source novel and the second CP way more.
during the chairman's funeral, the strawberry boy walked in when every other person was outside and called the step daughter nuna( older sister)? like.. is he connected to this family?why is he allowed to walk in? and why did he call her nuna...did chairman buy strawberries from him only because he liked the taste? I'm so suspicious of his real identity and background...or am I thinking too much?
Dear passers-by (not Chengyi fans), I've seen a lot of comments saying it's boring. Is it really? I was so hyped yesterday. Should I start with low expectations?
