the high school scenes aren’t set in the present timeline (it’s set in 2018) which means bongseok is actually born in 2000. so that means she had him at 30 and is now 48. of course hyojoo doesn’t look anywhere close to that age (even with the makeup) but i agree, maybe we’re just to assume she looks young for her age (which is actually the case irl with a lot of asians especially).

they actually mentioned this in the "production behind" video for moving too. the director said even though they have these unimaginable superpowers, they still lead somewhat "ordinary lives", and have these qualities about them (juwon being bad with directions, juwon being a romanticist, dooshik being adorably awkward while pursuing mihyun, dooshik's love for dramas) which make the characters feel very relatable.
i think that's what sets it apart from marvel/dc etc. (where they're always tasked with protecting the world from some massive otherworldly threat). the characters in moving feel like real people that you would encounter irl and the whole reason why they use their powers is to protect the people they love, their families and friends. it's really a new take on this genre, and i love that about it.
