my first asadora! i enjoyed it overall, but i think bc the early episodes (pretty much until she moves to tokyo) were so strong for me, i was less interested in the later episodes. it could also be bc theres no way i would ever believe mei is any older than her actual age... i also personally couldnt get into seeing her with takeru sato. i love the childhood friends/best friends to lovers trope, so i appreciated that ending, but i wasnt rooting for it like i would have normally. but yea overall not bad.... i think if you like mei, it's a must watch!
I agree. Frankly, I was annoyed at Ishikawa for pursuing it further. But then it was her job and all.. but still.
yea it was definitely frustrating... i personally didnt agree with her basically trying to say it would be closure or an end to the girl's nightmares when she was questioning her. but ig this drama is all about opening old wounds...
that ep 5 ending tho... anyone here read the original manga? ive only watched the anime, so a lot of this is new to me and im curious if the drama is accurate to the original
i wasnt rly feeling this during the first ep, but it definitely turns around completely in the third ep... it's sooo good that i actually get excited while watching
truth be told though, zaki's acting is still iffy. hes gotten a lot better, but those angry faces definitely bring some comedy to this drama
the summary here is a really good description! the manga starts off with akira already liking the manager, but…
from the translated chapters so far, theres not really anything that happens... SPOILER ALERT
she has confessed to him and they went on a date, but thats pretty much it. i would say the romance is more like seeing a high school's girl unlikely love for an older man
Nana komatsu!! I just luv her!! But this guy is freaking 45?? Can someone who read the manga explain the story…
the summary here is a really good description! the manga starts off with akira already liking the manager, but throughout the story, you find out what she likes so much about him! i guess it really is weird that their age gap is so huge, but it's pretty much a harmless story (-: the manager is kind of a good-natured idiot, so the story can be humorous as well. i would recommend reading the manga actually; it's one of my favorites! i was actually super excited to find out nana-chan was chosen bc she suits the role very well. sorry for the long comment ♡
thanks for this comment! when i first heard about this drama, i was pretty interested then saw how the synopsis…
i understand the synopsis can be a different interpretation from the original source and i do plan on watching the pilot, but doesnt mean i still cant feel disappointed over the synopsis
"Mizuki has a gender identity disorder and now lives as a man"..... like okay... the fact that they're…
thanks for this comment! when i first heard about this drama, i was pretty interested then saw how the synopsis was written and i was disappointed... not surprised, but disappointed
Yeah, but what a gamble. Having the notebook get stolen only to stop that marriage. She had no guarantee they'd…
thank you for explaining this for me! im not familiar with evidence or etc. even if i watch crime dramas haha
i agree on the hashida storyline! i'm really disappointed that they did not end it and just left it hanging... not only does it make me mad because i wanted to see him "fall", but it just seems less interesting that there is no ending for him
Yeah, but what a gamble. Having the notebook get stolen only to stop that marriage. She had no guarantee they'd…
so she basically let herself get caught just so he wouldnt get married? she gave it all up for him? bc thats what i had thought esp after the nurse's talk about giving up for the man you love or wtv
i always put off watching this movie bc i absolutely cant handle gore, so when my international cinema prof assigned this film for japan, i wasnt too delighted. after watching it, i cant believe i never watched it sooner bc this film isnt gory at all?? theres only 1 or 2 scenes pushing it, but it was pretty tame. otherwise, i see why this film is so popular, but it was a little hard for me to empathize with the characters since i'm not one for "teen romance" problems. definitely a disappointing assignment from my prof, esp comparing it other the other movies he assigned to us.
