Title She Was Pretty Spoiler
even though i knew it was going to happen, risa taking the puzzle was so sad.... it just makes me sad to think shes basically willing to throw away the friendship she treasured and spoke so highly of for a man who's only nice to her bc he thinks shes someone else.... made for some nice drama though 😅 lol this episode kept me on my toes, and the preview makes it seem like it's just going to get better.. cant wait!!

wow the wait for this episode was so worth it! seriously best drama this season for me

the transformation is so unnecessary... i was literally thinking, "wow fuka is extra pretty in this episode" then they went and changed it up. she looks great, but kenty's character was already falling for her as she is, and that story would have been better

anyways i have to laugh at this fictional james taylor being a world famous designer bc that dress.... oof

comedy cop shows arent really my thing, but i love meichan and wanted to add another drama to my watch list, so i gave this a chance and it's not bad! i really love the dynamic of meichan and erika's characters!!

Title Hyochakusha Spoiler
wow the ending for ep 2 was actually terrifying....

i kind of dont understand this drama, if i had to be honest lol but lately i have nothing to watch so i'm not going to drop it 🤭

Title She Was Pretty Spoiler
sosuke's finally starting to feel more human.... he was really likable in ep 3 🥺

i started watching this for kenty and fuka and was looking forward to seeing their characters end up together, but i really like the entire cast so much that at this point, idc who ends up with who lol i think kenty has great chemistry with yui and fuka with eiji 🤣 also lately i've kind of just been watching dramas to pass the time, but this is the one drama im watching rn where im actually looking forward to finding out what happens in the next ep!
On Itaike ni Koishite Jul 16, 2021
after the first episode, i thought i was going to drop this, but im really starting to like the cast dynamic. i love dramas that feel strange and funky, so this should really be up my alley, but the story is a little questionable in the sense that i can't read where it's going and what the point of the drama is... i thought we were going to get some answers in ep 3 after that ep 2 ending but nothing yet. it is a "light" watch though, and i really like fuma in this!

also i cant get over how unfitting the ending song is lol... my sister has had the olivia rodrigo album on repeat since the release, and i feel like if they really wanted an olivia song, there are others that would fit the feel of the drama better

I was worried this would be the case. I knew I would be fighting second lead syndrome because it is Akaso Eiji…
the tsundere route has been done a lot, but i wouldnt mind if they tried it here to make him more likable as the episodes go by bc rn it doesnt feel like theres hope... eiji is really great in this though and fuka as well!

probably not a spoiler but tagging it just in case...

i've never watched the original, but i decided to watch this for kenty and fuka.... but kenty's character is SO unlikable lol i now understand why many fans of the original said they had second lead syndrome. i basically have it already, and it's only been one episode lmao

recently, i've just been trying to cross some stuff off of my to watch list, which mostly consists of movies that my favorite actors are in, so i wasnt expecting to like this, but it was surprisingly good! masaki is so beautiful in this, and it's been awhile since i've watched a serious performance of his. overall, the acting is very solid with the exception of some inexperience from the newer actors, but that's to be expected. the action is really good, but i found some of the death scenes a bit awkward and exaggerated? also, have to agree with others in regards to the story... it was a bit confusing in the beginning, then it started to pick up and get interesting, but then the ending fell flat for me.... this movie is 2 hours, which is plenty of time to actually flesh out the story, yet many questions were left unanswered...

still, not a bad watch, but... and i apologize for this comment, the subs were horrible. they read as if they were auto translated from the japanese audio to another language then auto translated again from that language to english. if only the original with japanese subtitles were available, i'd have watched that instead. but if anyone knows of somewhere to watch it with better eng subs, please let me know bc i want to share it with my dad

So did Daisuke's grandmother have more than one child with Yoshio? How could both Daisuke and Inagaki be related?…
there was no explanation, but most of it was implied. daisuke's grandmother only had one child with yoshio, and daisuke and inagaki are related because they have the same grandfather. yoshio likely married after their affair ended

I think you'll like Amachan (another asadora). She moves from Tokyo to a seaside village
thank you for the recommendation! that one has been on my to watch list - actually before i even knew what asadora is ?i always hear good things, so i should really find some time to watch it
On NIZI Village Clinic May 18, 2021
this kind of drama isn't really my style at all... i'm just not a slice of life person, and i often found myself forwarding through some scenes bc i found the pacing too slow for me, but even after doing so, it didn't hinder my attachment to the characters and their stories... and i think i cried with every episode. the acting is just so brilliant and feels so natural. i definitely recommend this drama! esp if you're someone like me who doesnt opt for this sort of genre

If anything, I’ll give low rating for this drama because of the romance. I find the main couple ridiculous on…
definitely agree with ur comment! i almost dropped this drama bc i really cant stand how they're approaching the romance aspect, especially considering there's a side drama with mamiyan's character... like it doesnt make any sense? and mone's character was really unbearable... but i absolutely love nanao in this, and i love magazine production dramas so i continued. i also like the interactions between mone and nanao's characters. while i'm satisfied with that part, i do wish they focused on it a bit more? idk, sometimes i think this drama has too much going on and doesn't know where it wants to go...
what a way to end the season... i guess each case makes you think about where your ethics or values lie, but this episode really emphasized it. while the mothers are in the wrong for abusing their children, do you feel they are to blame 100% if they dont know any other way or are have never been given help? until when should they be given a chance?

i definitely think casting someone who looks just a bit similar to yoshida yo as the killer was on purpose, and it really increased the emotion of seeing ishikawa's stance change. the line about the killer influencing the mother to change only to take away that chance from her was impactful, and so was the line about your future not being set in stone merely bc of your past.

in regards to previous comments ive been seeing, i have to agree that this season is not as great as the previous ones, but i find that inevitable with sequels, especially when you had something as great as the first season of cold case. i mean in the first season, i remember finding each episode so interesting, whereas there are one or two episodes in season 2 or 3 that sort of...bored me. however, i dont think cold case has changed in how they tackle various issues by actually discussing them and displaying them rather than through implication... and the symbolism through music, lighting, etc. is always great. so personally, i have to say the reason i started to love this drama in the first place still exists, even though it may not be as obvious as it was initially.

very much looking forward to ep 4 to see the dad finally stand up to the mom.... however not looking forward to her reaction ?i have a feeling shes going to try to play the victim when shes been forcing her thoughts on everyone without listening to them

thank you so much! toto-neechan was one i was thinking of watching next, guess i definitely have to give it a shot!
yea i really enjoyed hanbun aoi overall, but i really lost interest in certain parts )-:
ah yes, amachan was probably the first asadora i heard of. i always hear good things as well. i also heard that it only covers about 3 years or so rather than many years like most asadora
