I think the pen is the hint that producer Arai and the directors was talking about before! They mentioned that…
when they did the reveal, it made so much sense bc it made me think that tatsuo would have definitely met kase a handful of times before, considering the plans for rio to move
also that scene of kase consoling young yuu made me really 😢bc it really showed how kase had been there for them longer than they could remember... i mean not that much longer but he still did so much for them 🥺
a far from perfect story, but the real charm of this drama is just seeing the love between aoki and ida develop. there's just smth so pure and sweet about it that you can't help but want to watch more of them and root for a happy ending. would definitely recommend if you just need a drama to lift your spirits!!
i dont think we can compare them (daiki and kase) they dont have the same type of love.
i agree, i dont think their love for rio is similar, which is why they took different paths to protect her and yuu, but the drama sets them up as her two possible love interests, and that alone makes them comparable
i never considered kase as a possible accomplice to anything bc i wanted a "fair" competition between him and daichan, but everything that was revealed in the last episode really just changed the entire game. and it's almost frustrating to think about!! but in a good way
from the start, we all knew that both daichan and kase cared so much for rio that they were willing to put in effort to protect both her and brother and their happiness... i felt like a constant for daichan was that he felt like he was unable to be there for them during their toughest times, so he tried to make it up after their reunion. then we have kase, who was always shown to prioritize rio and yuu before anything else, and we now know just how far he was willing to go. however, while kase made all those sacrifices, he's the one that disappeared from their lives, while daichan gets to be by their side.
tbh i was always rooting for daichan, but thinking about all this from the viewpoint of someone from team kase just makes me go scream internally bc he basically sacrificed his entire self...just for their happiness!! that's all he wanted!!!
anyways this whole compare/contrast thing between the two love interests is just another reason why i love this drama... and i am so sad that it's over... maybe i should finally get a paravi subscription just so i can watch it all over again 🥺
I think the pen is the hint that producer Arai and the directors was talking about before! They mentioned that…
i was going to reply to this earlier then it suddenly became friday!!
god i have so much to say, but i guess i got my wish about having more background on kase hahah and now i understand why he sees the sanada group as his family
wow im so sad that this drama is over.... definitely my favorite of the season! possibly even one of my all time…
i absolutely loved the hug between izumi and shishio!! i think every character, esp morio and shishio, were great romantic interests.... has me wishing people like that actually existed irl 😢
tbh im not a fan of time jumps, and even in this drama's case, it was strange... they started the episode immediately after the time jump, so it just made it feel like the break up and morio going to kagoshima was so unnecessary.... like huh... nothing happened lol but all's well that ends well! i actually wouldnt mind a sequel
wow im so sad that this drama is over.... definitely my favorite of the season! possibly even one of my all time favs... theres just a lot of great things about this drama, but the best part is seeing the growth of the characters while realizing how the world needs to be more accessible for visually impaired people
I think the pen is the hint that producer Arai and the directors was talking about before! They mentioned that…
hi sorry i wanted to wait until this week's ep to reply!!
i was so mad when fuji did the whole "oh nvm" thing at the beginning then they gave us that twist at the end aaaaaa i have so many questions.... like if it is true, then i feel like i have to watch ep 1 again or really maybe the entire drama again bc i gotta make sure everything adds up
i'm glad i was right about kase, but i also wish for more background about him! he's such a great character. i'm also almost disappointed that masanobu didnt have more involvement? hahaha
i honestly was not expecting yukiko to break up with him.... i thought morio would be the one to break up with her so he could go to kagoshima and be a better person suited for her whatever... wonder how the last episode will go... i'm not ready to say goodbye to this drama 😢
i had high expectations for this drama, which is probably why i found it so disappointing... but tottsu was beautiful until the very end, which is all i needed since hes the only reason i started and continuing watching anyways 🥰
i'm not particularly invested in this drama and didnt pay any attention to last week's episode, but i had a feeling kirishima was on their side and that yamamori's husband is still alive, so it's nice to see that i was right... yet i'm a little unsatisfied 🤔 not like the concept of this drama is new or anything, but everything about it is just very...standard, to put it simply
I think the pen is the hint that producer Arai and the directors was talking about before! They mentioned that…
right! i usually binge or watch episodes in twos or threes, but now i watch all the episodes basically immediately after they air, and also since this drama airs on a friday... my brain totally goes into relaxing mode lol i usually enjoy trying to piece things together and solving things which is why i love mystery dramas, but with saiai, i'm really just here for the ride haha
omg i dont remember that at all 💀 i mean i do remember there was an implication that it would have been difficult for tatsuo to move a body by himself, but i didnt know there was like...an actual reference to it!! ig the only one it could be is fujii. i always thought his anger when the dude got caught was bc he knew it would negatively impact the team, but just like practically every scene in this drama... there could be smth else to it👀
was there ever an explanation for why kase, similar to goto, also feels so strongly for the sanada family? like maybe smth happened to his family which is why he treasures them so much. i cant remember, but if there hasnt been an explanation, i have a feeling that's the sort of background story they'll give us for kase
I think the pen is the hint that producer Arai and the directors was talking about before! They mentioned that…
thank you! there's been quite a few deaths in this drama, so i'm starting to lose track of where things are being found/where the points are getting connected lol
there's always a chance that kase did talk to the dad, like for rio's protection, and that was it... and the pen is actually goto's since we do know those two did have an exchange. at the same time, i'm also waiting for more revelation on the brother... like it's coming, i can feel it lol and speaking of revelations!! since we sort of talked about it in a previous comment, i'm so so curious about what's in store for fujii... i hate (love) that they gave us the tiniest little tease at the end of this week's ep
also definitely agree about how this drama makes you think differently about characters in a single episode... i didnt care for shiori at first bc it didnt seem like her character had any importance, and ofc that opinion did a 180 in last week's episode
about the pen... i think i'm missing smth? is it related to shiori's case or kosuke's dad's case?
also i feel like the emphasis on how kase is one of the few who has a pen is just a way to make it more thrilling, but maybe i'm in denial lol bc i could sense them trying to show the similarities between goto and kase in that chase scene... goto did all that fraud bc the company is his everything. kase's everything is rio, and how far would he go to help her?
ugh loved today's episode.... it's so cliche, so i usually never enjoy jealousy tropes, but sometimes it can be so good... in a way it's almost sweet to see how morio loves yukiko so much to the point that just interactions with her first love has him second guessing like...all of his life decisions. there's just so many great things about this drama, and one of them is seeing how everyone grows with each other's support!!
kind of? apparently it's set before morio and yukiko met, but in the teaser, there's a scene with yukiko. it's a hulu original though so it may be harder for someone to share it
After watching Episode 6…I’m glad things progressed between our 2 main leads. That bit where Akiha hid the…
totally agree with the part you said you didnt like... i can kind of see what yuito is doing, like he's trying to help akiha out by making momose actually take notice of her, but i thought it was absolutely ridiculous momose thought there was smth like a friendship kiss.... was it ep 2 or 3 where he almost kissed akiha when she was drinking and said smth like he can still do things even w/o the experience? like idk i never thought this drama was that great to start with, but i wish they would at least fix the minor inconsistencies lol
i loved the scenes where rio, yuu, and kase hugged and had dinner... but it's sort of unfair for them to give us that when you know there's still more drama to come and you dont know if a happy ending is guaranteed 🥺
also i would never run for anything, but now i'd like to get a gray trench coat and run somewhere just so i can pretend i'm as cool as daichan in that scene where he chased after rio...
also that scene of kase consoling young yuu made me really 😢bc it really showed how kase had been there for them longer than they could remember... i mean not that much longer but he still did so much for them 🥺
