this drama definitely shouldnt be taken seriously, and thats the fun of it lol i mean i am disappointed bc i thought there would be an ikemen in every ep and really theres only been like 3, but i cant be mad at the delicious food every week! this past week's ep was def my fav and was literally planning to go to that restaurant this weekend 💀

the flashbacks playing through setsuna's mind when she realizes the son is the actual murderer... can someone explain them for me? i often put this drama on in the background, so i dont recall the scenes at all...

as soon as masaki asked kagami if he was hiding anything else, i KNEW they were going to reveal haruto as the actual killer... anyways im glad we're getting the suspense i thought we'd have throughout the whole drama, but theres just so much...i dont know how they'll end this. this drama is of a different genre, but it makes me feel just like how unicorn ni notte did: started off really well, left me thinking this would be a great drama only to fall flat in later episodes... /-:

i still dont believe this drama is coming to its end, and i really wanted to prolong it as long as i could, but i decided to just go ahead and sign up for paravi so i can deal with my emotions over this drama now rather than later 🥺 and im glad that i decided to do so bc the ending is so warm and nice that while i expected to cry, i'm actually excited and giddy!

i really, really love this drama. the later half definitely was unexciting in comparison to the first half, but idk to me, this drama is such a great representation of summer. the earlier scenes of shin being bold and daring felt like the rush of the summer heat, the energy you feel when you know it's summer vacation and all you want to do is jump into a pool. mina facing his "dark" past and finding closure felt like the breeze of a summer wind, the despair of coming to terms that summer is ending and you need to come back to reality.

actually, i hate summer and always look forward to its end so we can have nice, chilly autumn, but this drama made me realize i love the romanticization of summer and how it makes for nice storytelling, when done right. it's not just the pacing that felt like summer, but the sounds, the lighting, the environment, the mood.... there's a lot of small details that really sold minasho for me. ofc i hope they make a dvd out of this, but i also got sold on the cast as well 🥺 i wonder what takuchan will do next... i don't keep up with him, but any time he happens to be in a drama i watch, he always gets interesting characters, and i feel like i've sort of watched him grow over the years. sho has been one of the most exciting things about this drama since ep 1... all i talk about is how amazed i am at the talent he has for someone who only debuted almost 2 years ago. i'm biased and want him to do a darker drama next, like a suspense or a thriller, but nonetheless i cant wait to see him grow as an actor.

recently got put on netflix so i had to give it a shot bc i tend to like anything about idol or otaku culture... when i saw the title and that there was some suspense in it, before even starting the drama, i thought it was definitely going to be about a fan who felt betrayed by her idol so she literally pushes her.... i mean they did use that 推し/押し similarity, just not in the way i assumed

ANYWAYS like everyone else has said, the acting is superb!! i find that sakurai yuki and shiraishi sei are both actresses i've seen in dramas i just happen to watch with acting ability that impresses me every time but for some reason they're not as big as you would expect... i loved shiraishi sei as this sweet awkward idol, she was sooo cute... i like idols but not girl idols so there are some differences, but i mean you have to appreciate the relationship between a fan and their idol, and especially one that gets so close like with underground idols. ai and hana's was especially great too because they were really supporting each other and lifting each other from a dark place... i really felt the scene in the last ep where hana was crying as she urgently told ai to please come to the live

i love suspense, and while the story was predictable (i mean what other crimes can you think of when theres an idol and obsessive creepo "fan" involved), the storytelling kept me interested, and i also loved the darker parts of this drama... i watched ashitakano earlier this year, so ai becoming a camgirl to financially support hana reminded me of one of the ashitakano girls who gets involved with prostitution so she can visit a host she falls for. idk ig i enjoy that theres a realistic aspect to these sort of themes? i mean obv not every fan is doing that, but i'm sure it happens more often than they show in the media...

im almost mad that i finished it... and im wishing i could watch this for the first time again

YES i think hes better suited for characters that are more lively! not that he did badly as kou, but sugino's great when he can put more energy into a character. i think that's also why the hug felt off for me... like him smiling was cute, but it didn't feel like smth kou would do?

i also think when you've seen both actors in good pairings in other dramas, you cant help but have that as a comparison so you can really see that there's smth lacking... and the good pairings make you want another drama of them... with meichan and sugino, im kind of like...i can live without it 😭

sort of? he has a crush on someone, but it doesnt go anywhere UNTIL (this is more of a spoiler for another character so just going to put another warning lol) he encounters another side of them... they're not exactly in a romance, but they have some scenes that feel more than platonic

yes he was really great in koi desu! and it was the most recent thing of his i watched so i thought him being paired with meichan would excite me just as much as koi desu did.... really unfortunate storytelling from a great cast /-: always sad to have expectations set pretty high by a drama only for them to not be met by the end..

idk the ending wasnt really that bad... i mean im glad sana and kou ended up together bc early on, i thought that it would end with sana focusing on work, but the way they wrapped up it up just felt so....unclear and uneventful? like even a rushed ending would be better; this felt more like they were just putting together scenes for the sake of having an ending. like i kind of get that kou leaving and his missing presence was kind of necessary for sana to finally act on her feelings, but i felt the timing of his leave was weird in the first place.... they're business partners and close friends, but he leaves when they're about to get busy? yea he had decided on his next goal, but bro you couldnt stick around for another month or smth 💀 also i remember reading someone saying they dont really have chemistry and i have to agree... i love both meichan and sugino so i was into the pairing initially and i think that sort of build up of unsaid feelings between sana and kou made for interesting scenes in the first few episodes, but then they started to focus on the love triangle and other things, so any sort of chemistry they could have had fizzled.... like their hug felt really off to me, like it was cute ig, and i loved that big smile on kou's face, but since lately we havent been shown any scenes of kou's evident love for sana, all i could really think was oh... ok... lol

i really didnt mean for this comment to be long, but i was really looking forward to this drama after ep 1 and 2 and everything just kind of...fell flat with an ending that didnt make it better /-: anyways best scene was kaito giving kotori the tarako onigiri and him smiling when meg said he was nice 🥺 my fav!!

it's kind of funny how getting sls from remolove was a big reason behind my excitement for this drama, but i was lowkey getting sls for the younger brother in this episode.... i really enjoyed it! i'm also liking the younger brother's scenes with kubodera lol

wow this one episode alone made this drama sooooo messy omg i was really liking shintaro so im upset that hes the one that did the graffiti... the other girl slapping sae was so ridiculous. first of all, everything shintaro had done for sae was purely his decision... sae never did anything to lead him on like maybe their "breakup" wasnt the greatest, but that was also shintaro's choice... and the other girl literally wasnt relevant to the story at all until like last week so it's just kinda funny like girl calm down... you will be irrelevant next week im sure

the younger brother having feelings for kome wasnt surprising, but i also wasnt expecting him to come on so strong and so quickly too?? considering i wasnt liking where i thought the drama wasnt headed, this is a nice change, but even as someone that likes fast-paced dramas, the constant changes in the storyline lowkey give me whiplash lmao....

damn they couldnt even give us sae/shintaro for one episode.... i mean i knew there was no way sae could forget masaki and just move on that easily, but i would have loved the sae/shintaro fantasy for at least another ep or two.....

i dont really care for this drama anymore, but ep 8 being a kaito-focused ep was really nice!!! hes definitely my fav character from the group. also i had a brief period where i liked bando ryota last year, but it kind of fizzled bc idc for most of the roles he does. im enjoying kaito a lot though and am hoping bando gets more interesting roles after this...

what made me laugh in this episode though when rinka said smth to kou about how not being able to pay tuition or wtv is smth their families could never think of.... the complete lack of tact lmao like girl read the room 💀

hmmm idk it was very obv they were going to bring sakurako into the show, but her character is even worse than i expected.... i'm really hoping they bring it to a close like personally i dont think scenes with any relation to kome's previous company are necessary anymore and i also dont find them particularly interesting. i mean ig it's fair for her to have the same amount of background story as gen (i'm expecting his younger brother and ex wife to show up eventually), but like....we get it lol she quit bc of all of this drama, but kome is still good at her job and theres a lot of story to be told with each renovation

im glad usui being the one who leaked the photo is out in the open, or at least known to sae now... i thought shintaro would hold onto the secret for a few more episodes

also the mom is literally crazy 💀 when she disappeared and haruto thought she left, i had a feeling she was actually just hiding in the sharehouse... but the way she revealed herself with no shame was even creepier than what i thought she would do, like approaching sae on her own
