also there were some scenes in this drama that really delivered through timing and lighting... the scene in ep 10 where ryoko busts in to save takayama and one teardrop falls from his eye.... ugh brilliant
personally the cases are somewhat predictable and the story itself is a bit strange (not in a good way) with a boring ending.... BUT the acting from both amami yuki and matsushita kohei is what really makes this drama!! just like all the other comments say, the dynamic between the two leads is everything... i feel like this drama did a good balance of funny and serious, and it's definitely due to the talent and charisma these two have! would absolutely love to see them work together again
i love both haru and mahi so thats really the only reason why i was able to keep watching this... it started off pretty well, and ig i stuck around just to see actors i like do cute scenes together (esp bc you can tell there was a lot of adlib), but the story and the conflicts were kind of boring and frustrating at the same time... definitely ranks low on my haru romance drama list
i may have made that comment about sachi, but now we're at a point in the drama where the 3 girls look so content with recent events and are on their way to make even happier lives for themselves... if the rest of the drama just continued on like that, i wouldnt mind, if anything id like it better, but you KNOW all their pasts are waiting to hurt them once again and honestly it's a struggle to deal with the suspense....
the drama is decent (this sort of melancholic life type of drama is not really my thing to start with) and i feel for all the characters, but there are scenes where sachi is soooo sour and depressing that it makes it hard to root for her... and while i love seino nana, she is admittedly not a good enough actor to pull off these certain scenes so sometimes sachi can get really annoying lol
radio programs in japan are essentially just radio variety shows and are often hosted by personalities/talents... and bus tours are another kind of fan event, like a fansign or hitouch
Same! I'm hoping this drama Oyome-kun and him as Chifuyu in Tokyo Revengers will show his versatility to the Japanese…
i definitely feel like his role in revengers will be a big push... my prediction is that he needs just one more big role, or some kind of role that introduces him to a wider audience, and thats when we'll start seeing him more regularly!
still dont know how i feel about this drama, but i thought the second ep was funny bc as soon as they showed the "body" in the attic, i figured it was the meat minare had mentioned earlier in the episode... thats why i was like ??? when they were saying it was a human victim's body lol
Isn't Mahiro already doing pretty good in his acting career? Do you mean his big break in romance dramas?
oh yea i would say he is doing great! personally what i consider a big break is when i see an actor practically everywhere and/or when they have pretty notable CMs
LMAO EP 3 IS SO WILD... THE AUDACITY... i find soichi's actions so messy and typically id lose interest and drop a drama like this but the messiness is what i find interesting about it lol it's literally so crazy how hes making sumire to be the side piece essentially but he hugged and comforted her when she opened up about being left by her dad for his other family.... it's so heartless😭 and i didnt think he was going to do it but he did....inviting both of them to his piano recital im screamingggg lmao MESS
yes, my favorite type of romance drama.... haru in an age gap romance lol (not really, but she stars in a good amount of them and i enjoy her chemistry with just about anyone)
mahi is really cute in this and fits the role really well! i honestly cant imagine anyone else. im really hoping this (and revengers) is kind of the start of his big break (-:
some parts were starting to feel very corny lol and the pacing wow.... but after realizing this week's ep was the last, i understand why it felt a little rushed... i feel like tsuna keito is becoming the it boy lately and i enjoyed him in this
kind of funny... i saw an ad for the manga other day but didnt get drawn in bc the manga only featured the scene with her ex husband so i thought, "why would i want to read this??" ... didnt realize the drama based on it was already on my to watch list bc of tsuna keito lol
anyways caught up with the first two episodes today, and i actually really like it. i'm kind of torn between thinking mitsui catching feelings happened too fast and justifying it by saying it's his lack of experience.... but i love his character. characters who know what they want and are direct about it, especially when it comes to romance, are really refreshing, like you cant help but support them! i could also be biased lol but i am looking forward to seeing how this drama pans out
aw man i totally had a feeling fukuchan would somehow try to make it into the industry by using asami's position as a drama producer... too bad we didnt get to see how that would turn out, even just for a moment
definitely looking forward to the story picking up more! not that it's not entertaining enough already, but im curious about how the lives of two time leapers will intertwine
I think there will be a 4th cycle, that's where the big plot kicks in (Uno Mari, "How to be reincarnated as human",…
ooh yes i saw your previous comments! after the first episode, i also thought that they'd probably add a storyline of another person being reincarnated. i think the third life is not a bad time for it, but i see what you're saying about the mitakong debate... we'll see how it goes!
finally got caught up! it's really the only drama im enjoying this season so i wanted to watch it when i could actually sit down and get into it... was NOT expecting the third life haha surely there wont be a fourth? but anyways it's really fun to see more characters introduced! im glad mattsun made a longer appearance in the third life... im hoping he comes back lol
i dont really know what i thought this drama was going to be like (didnt read the synopsis, started it just for the cast), but i think i heard the word "afterlife" or wtv and i would say the moment up until it happens.... you really feel like it's leading up to that. i dont know how to explain it... it's not that her life was boring, but you just feel like "oh this is going to be a 'trigger' for her second life somehow", which i enjoyed. anyways the real spoiler is that it really starts from when shes a kid, which is what makes the premise interesting lol
watched part of the ending awhile ago but wanted to wait until i could watch the whole thing to form my opinion.... honestly i have to say this drama didnt go in a direction i was expecting at all, and i kind of find the last episode disappointing. i assumed the decision to disband was sort of a way for the boys to disband irl, but instead they just did a hiatus then they showed their comeback so i was wrong about that?? making it harder for me to understand why they would create that storyline anyways. in the first place, i could not get behind the whole "the individual members want to do their own thing and to do that we have to disband" as if any of their hobbies didnt somewhat correlate to their idol career lol it also just felt weird considering the beginning of the drama was literally about them NOT trying to disband? yea growth, development, or wtv, but i couldnt get behind it. i also hated the storyline of asuka and dan getting "caught" bc if they needed asuka to find her own path, i feel like they could have created a better transition that made sense with her development, like the boys recognizing their own dreams, impacting her to rethink her job at the dorm and realize she still wants to be a teacher... instead of sort of being forced to do so due to the messy situation, even though she did leave on her own. and the way they just glossed over it anyhow... ik idols irl also just go back to work like normal when a scandal brews, but i was expecting smth different from a drama lmao.... anyways sorry this is incoherent, but i had to write down what i was feeling. i just feel it was an unfortunate ending bc the characters are actually really enjoyable. you really grow attached to the 8loom boys and feel yourself rooting for them, and not just them... the side characters develop very meaningful relationships that feel positive and encouraging
mahi is really cute in this and fits the role really well! i honestly cant imagine anyone else. im really hoping this (and revengers) is kind of the start of his big break (-:
