i see many people complaining already since ep5 dropped wondering what y'all would have done if y'all read the current part in the novel because the amount of cute peemkhem moments y'all got in ep5 there wasn't even one percent of it in first half of the novel so let's be grateful they're modifying the novel plot and focusing on actually developing things between peemkhem instead of throwing the romance on our faces just for the sake of it at the very end like they did in the novel be grateful we got to see harit's cute smile and him gay panicking at khem also yes the current ongoing plotline focuses more on peemkhem's personal feelings, chanjet's training as disciples and many more so let's enjoy while it lasts because shit is about to go down very soon
sorry guys life got busier so i couldn't post on time hope y'all still read my comments though 😞 I'll be back…
thank you for still reading my comment and replying it means a lot 🫂
also not gonna put this under spoiler but i need everyone who's complaining already to know that even in the novel the current plot progress is gonna focus more on building peemkhem's relationship infact I'd say they still added lots of interesting things in the drama so please let's not complain already
just so you guys know chan doesn't like khem in a romantic way at all, in the novel jett is the one who tries to trick chan into staying so he can help protecting khem but when pharan asks him if he knew how grave the situation is khem tells him everything about his curse, chan after hearing everything decides to stay willingly despite being scared because he started considering both khem jett as his friends and he wanted to help
I'm back with some comparison spoilers between novel and drama ep4, extremely late this time but hey i hope y'all…
sorry guys life got busier so i couldn't post on time hope y'all still read my comments though 😞 I'll be back with ep5 soon meanwhile let me know if y'all have any questions <3
I'm back with some comparison spoilers between novel and drama ep4, extremely late this time but hey i hope y'all still enjoy reading?
- ep4 starts with khem traveling between two dimensions in his dreams it's exactly the same in the novel too, not to confuse between those two timelines one is the river side dock of a thai boat house which is the timeline from 400 years ago where ramphueng hides and another is the white mansion which is of khemmika's timeline from 1939 where chayot hides,
- when phuchong warns pharan about khem's danger, pharan before sending his spirit to look for him tells jett to light a single stick of incense to call back his spirit if he's not back within an hour, it is an act of soul leaving the body to enter another spirit dimension or travel between realms (you might have seen pharan doing this multiple times since ep1) however if the soul remains detached from the body for too long it can get trapped in there or lost as a wandering spirit hence in old times the masters would make their disciples light an incense as it works as a guidance to call back the soul since incense smoke is considered a bridge between human and spirit world,
- chayod is exactly the same both in drama and novel, a lying greedy piece of crap even if he was sorry for what he did in the end and had a tragic end too he still caused misery to both his brother and the woman he claimed to love and protect for years, he wanted to have khem's spirit to increase his own power as an excuse to protect him from ramphueng so yeah no I've no sympathy for him,
- from the scene of them finding khem unconscious in the jungle to pharan carrying him back to the rescue scenes of those students most of these scenes are exact same from the novel,
- in the novel as khem wakes up remembering his past life as khemmika pharan lets him cry and hug him but in the drama he hugs back and comforts him too, he does firmly tell him that they're not khemmika and phawat anymore hence he shouldn't be acting upon his past feelings, he is definitely still very harsh to khem but he shows way more emotions in the drama compared to novel, they made pharan more softer and caring while keeping his practicality intact which i guess comes off as him being harsh or rude towards khem (don't worry every bs he says about past is past is gonna bite him back in the ass very soon lmaoo),
- pharan staying overnight because khem requests him to and letting him hold his pinky finger so he can sleep peacefully is so much more softer and cuter in the drama he even stays till morning for the little shippers to peek through and see them like that (honestly jett is so me when it comes to peemkhem soft scenes lol),
- the entire phuchong and ramphueng confrontation scene is added new it wasn't in the novel,
- the scene where chayod encounters ramphueng while following khemmika's spirit is added new, I'm guessing they added it to explain how chayod attached himself to khem to protect him and some details of the original curse a little better? in the novel the reason chayod could attach himself to khem was because as kids khemmika promised to marry chayod if she doesn't find someone by the time they grow up but unfortunately phawat took that place making chayod do what he did out of grudge which led to all of their tragic end, but khemjira does forgive him, makes him a last meal and both khem and pharan make merit to free his spirit which they didn't show in the drama,
- the last moments of khem with his mother is exactly the same, the scene where she tells him that it was pharan who saved him as a kid when he was trying to save the dog is added new as you already know in the novel they never met as kids,
- peem smiling softly (my boy is falling so hard but why's he so cute smiling 😩) while he overhears khem saying he'll stay and try to change his mind is added new, in the novel khem just asks him if he could stay and he just tells khem that if he wants to stay he'll have to formally become his disciple,
that's pretty much it, i must say though both kengnamping are extremely good at acting out emotional scenes i cried the entire episode when they were crying, also please do pay attention to every scene they added so many cultural aspects and details they're extremely interesting do not miss them out and oh jealousy arc is starting soon so be ready it would be fun hehe 😁
the cast and crew be fr encountering strange incidents around the filming set, using real chantings, doing offerings and asking for permission everytime before filming those ritual scenes like that's crazy they went a little too real
Ngl, Idc what kinda vendetta Rampueng has against Khem, but to torture multiple reincarnations/bloodlines for…
honestly i agree but 400 years ago where the curse originally started from khem and his mother kind of indirectly had some kind of fault in it too? although they were forced but all of that led to ramphueng's tragic end, hence she cursed the bloodline and became a vengeful spirit it's just that for those many years no one tried to put an end to it so it continued over and over again
