No worries at all, I most definitely did not feel like you were disregarding my opinion. As for GC, I was expecting him to be the 'worst of evil' so that's why I was surprised that he wasn't a good leader at all.
Ki Chul was never meant to be a Gang leader, its not something he aspired to be. He was just a normal guy with…
What do you mean 'he didn't always want to lead'? Killing his boss is not what made him the leader. The 'coup d'état' he carried out is what made him the leader because as soon as he took it upon himself to plan that attack, it automatically meant that he was challenging his boss's position, with or without the killing. & Again, I'm not saying that GC should or shouldn't be a good leader. I'm simply stating that he is a horrible one, which is the objective truth. The points that you are bringing up have nothing to do with my initial comment.
&again you seem to be coming up with your own conclusions about the statements I make. I never said that GC having a crappy childhood automatically turned him into a bad person. I simply replied to your first statement about him having had a normal childhood. I was pointing out that he most definitely did not have a normal childhood, NOT that his circumstances led him to become a crook. Once more, this has nothing to do with the comment I made.

I'm not sure it matters whether or not he was meant to be a gang leader. What matters is that he isn't a good one. I also don't think that your statement about him not aspiring to be a gang leader is true. As soon as he was giving the opportunity to become part of his ex boss's gang, he seized it. And then, when he was stopped of furthering the drug business, he took it upon himself to annihilate his boss as well as all of those who were loyal to him. The reason he did this was clearly to have Gangnam all to himself meaning that he would become the sole leader of the gang doing business there. He also didn't have a normal childhood. Not only did he have an abusive father, but his mom also ended up killing him.
Well oh well, if Gi Cheol isn't the worst gang leader I've ever seen... I'm honestly surprised that he has a band of dudes who put their trust in him. At this point, Jung Bae would've been a very capable and smart leader. Just who on earth puts a guy he's just met and has a trillion red flags oh and let's not forget, IS AFFILIATED WITH A DARN COP become his right hand man???? People (Jung Bae) who he's known for a few years have advised him against trusting Junmo and he's out there like a lovesick little puppy constantly ignoring them. Then after he's kicked out his most loyal friend, that's when he starts suspecting Junmo like bfr 🙃 Also, can someone give me the antonym of thorough? Because that's exactly what Gi Cheol is. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
Agree 100% that's why I don't like people commenting about is she gonna cheat, blah blah blah this is some psychological…
I agree! I also feel like ep 5 sort of sealed that fact for us. When she saw GC at her mom’s funeral she was just like ok and as soon as Junmoo poke his head from behind that wall, she began tearing up. You can tell just from that one scene how much he means to her.
The only senseless and unnecessary trait in all the characters involved is JKC's nonsensical attempt to pursue…
I find that it’s a trait that humanizes his character. It’s an aspect that brings JKC back into the real world. He’s been swept inside this ruthless world of violence and gangs for so long and suddenly he’s reunited with a part of his past that he probably believed he would never meet again. It makes sense to me as to why he would recklessly try to rekindle this old fling. & yesss I most definitely agree with you about JKC being the furthest thing from a morally grey character. The whole point about being morally grey is grappling between good and evil. It can obviously be presented in different ways, but one of the main ways to know whether a character is morally grey is that you can’t say that they’re fully evil just like how you can’t say that they’re fully good.
This is going to be controversial but----I don't really get why Nadine seems to be everyone's favorite and why…
I truly do agree with you about how realistically speaking she'll probably end up in a LDR with whoever she choses at the end. I was aware of her occupation before it was revealed but it never occured to me that yes indeed, she attends school in the US while the contestants live in Korea meaning LDR lol. I personally love Nadine, I feel like she's relatable and funny. I think that she also provides this sense of proximity to a lot of the international viewers since she is American (or lives in the US). I do hope that she finds someone on the show because it seems as though she has a lot to offer, but I also find her a tiny bit selfish since she's studying in the medical field and probably doesn't have a lot of time on her hands mixed with the fact that she doesn't even live in Korea lol 😅 At the same time, I'm assuming that she's probably looking for a fun experience since she'll have even less time when she heads into med school which is somewhat understandable.
Hard agree lol. I still like Hanu but damn I would never pick him if he spoke to me the way he spoke to Daon in…
Yeah I kind of agree tbh & yes for Taeyang joining him in the red flag section 🤣 tbh for me, Taeyang's first red flag is his secret. Second is the way he felt so entitled abt Daon when they're not even dating??? Like what's going on over here?? I felt like I missed a few parts when he snapped at her in front of everyone.
I lowkey feel like Hangyeol purposefully set Hanu up for failure 😭 Like why would he encourage him to talk to Daon while he's tipsy af 😩 That whole drama was so unnecessary but I 100% understand where Taeyang is coming from. He's literally talking to Daon about his feelings and she's completely disregarding what he's saying. At the same time too though, I feel like his remarks to Daon are those one would make to their significant other... These guys haven't known each other for very long so I'm lowkey confused.
I agree with you about Hanui's secret being too big of a scale for this show. And everytime she says that she…
Yes, I agree abt Hanui seemingly forcing her feelings unto Hanu. Honestly, it's so... cringy? Like I'm not sure as to why she's practically confessing her feelings for Hanu to everyone. She's constantly saying that she needs him but I'm curious as to why she's saying that before knowing the way he feels about her? At this point, anyone on the receiving hand of her feelings would feel burdened.
I agree with you about Hansol and Dahae. Both were pretty disrespectful to Haneul and it sucks that they haven't apologized to her. I still find them cute, but I wouldn't really see them lasting outside the show unless Dahae changes her views on marriage.
Yes, yes, yes his goofiness and his ability to be both easy going and serious adds to his charms for sure (Minjae also was like that). I'm also happy that his secret was faaaaaaar from resembling Taeyang's secret LOL. I can't get over how cuuuute his secret makes him seem ☺️
