What surprised me was they adapted it as is, I have read my fairshare of novels on jxcc so I have seen some dogblood plots. I thought they would cut that out for the tv adaptation

I don’t think he killed the child directly but he might have unintentionally stopped HRY’s attempts to revive him when he escaped from his seal. Now whether HRY was in the right mind at the time remains to be seen (she blew herself up when the attempt failed), she could have been so deep in grief that she might have been reviving an ancient evil without knowing it (which would then allow us to have a happy ending). However if it was their child then I honestly don’t see how they move on from this, they both seem so broken at this point. Like even if it was all accidental, the end result still remains the same, the child is dead

BJS was planning on sacrificing his spirit in order to turn back time, Imagine the mess he would have left behind if he did. He didn’t even leave a note for his disciples which is frankly irresponsible because he just decided to leave without any explanation. Like you have just come back and you are sick, why not wait until things stabilised and then go truth seeking. He has left a power vacuum and Long Yuan has taken advantage of that.
