The issue is even if someone in heaven orchestrated it and used his hands as a weapon to kill his own child, I dont see how he can recover from it. Unless he destroy’s the infinite stele and sends the world into chaos in remorse, which does not seem like something heaven would want.

Today’s episodes show that it might be a combination. How did Zhang Suang break the illusion and now Long Yuan also wants to usurp power. Too many questions, and the emissaries haven’t appeared again

Xiao Jingshan is on my list of possible enemies. He is mentioned in episode 3 and then gives his remaining powers to Zhang Suang in episode 10 before supposedly dying. If he is an evil cultivator then hiding in Zhang Suang’s body and then biding his time to kill BJS to destroy the infinite stele (although it is never really explained why he wants to do it) should be easy. He just says he “drew power from nature and learned the wisdom from life. I gave up the way to find the Way and saw the truth through the illusions.” Sounds very radical to me; he might be an anti-hero or villain or may be foreshadowing an even greater sinister force.

Lol my ideal ending would be that BJS self sacrifices to protect HY from an attack from either the lightning guy or a heavenly envoy, that would resolve some of her resentment and the karma between master and disciple

Also if he sealed her powers why did he not leave anyone to guard her for 10 years? Or a contraption of some sort? Like I also don’t get the whole spend 10 years here while you are powerless while I am away either serving your sentence or pretending to not care about your wellbeing while you are in actual danger? Like did he not think she could be injured by mortals?

After her 10 year sentence she returned to the immortal plane and pretended everything was fine. They got married and on their wedding day she stabbed him and sealed him. Lol at this point she should have told him why she was stabbing him but it seems that was part of her punishment against him? I am not sure, or did she think even if she told him it would have been useless?

They are also immortals, in most xianxia they can use their powers to prevent pregnancy too

I think if his spirit dies then it will be a true death since he has removed the bead that has been protecting it. A BJS may be regenerated but I think it will be a new spirit without any memories of their time together

I remember BJS’s main job is to guard some entrance, while he is away and messing around are the entities on those realms just sitting around and not planning or doing anything, if so what is he doing there?

Maybe she couldn’t kill him unless he was willing to die since he is an immortal. She first needed to get the bead and then break him psychologically by telling him that her child had died, wrecked by guilt he would then be vulnerable and die.

I am surprised that you are hopeful there be a romance, at this point I suspect we will be getting flashbacks and the ending will be when they leave the county. I don’t see them getting back together again though

If there is no romance it’s okay as well, I just think HRY’s hatred and reason for her hatred are too profound for love to overcome. If sealing her powers really killed their child then I do not see how BJS can be able to live with the guilt, that’s why I assumed that it ends with him dying. Or at least a self sacrifice to bring the child back. Considering that when she returned to the immortal plane she stole a lot of things and trashed a number of places I am assuming she was trying to get something to revive the child

When did they actually fall in love though? It seems to me like they just got tired of fighting and decided to try being a couple instead. That clearly didn’t work out so BJS has to pay for it

have no issue with her taking revenge, but why did it need to span 400 years? Why did she seal him in the first place? Such a convoluted way of handling things makes me question her true motives. Maybe BJS has missing memories? They mentioned the snake being raised to heal him, but that plot point was never addressed again. This could have been resolved the first time she returned to the immortal plane — or was she searching for a surefire way to kill him? If so why go through the trouble of raising the snake? Or was the snake just a coincidence?

So in the end will the feud be resolved if Immortal Bai dies? I am so confused, is this a love story or a revenge story? 😂
