I would’ve honestly considered this series a masterpiece, almost right up there with “My Dearest” if it weren’t for those completely unnecessary last 10 minutes! it totally ruined the series for me. even the extra episode couldn’t make up for the disappoinment am feeling right now. like was that even necessary??? 😤

am already on ep9 honestly the plot still hasn’t picked up. finding it really hard to stay engaged honestly... the storyline feels a bit all over the place. I’m still confused at this point... hope it’ll start to make more sense soon! would be really such a shame if it ends up being mediocre...they have such a good chemistry! :(

I really loved this drama! The plot was so interesting and unpredictable compared to other shows I’ve watched this year. Every episode kept me guessing wondering who the real villain was and whoelse went back and whose side each character was on. I actually thought her friend and the ML might be the villain toward the later part of the series! Haha the storyline kept me engaged. It was a good watch and the actors did well too.

Im not really a fan of the leads but the story and ofc the fighting scenes are really good...and they wrapped things up well here. The ML and FL actually pulled off their roles pretty well too! Give it a try and let me know what you think!

you can...and you will...it took me too long though...try watching Love of the Divine Tree it has the same vibe and same director too! and the ending is much much better

now if you think about it the young actor who played the young son of Bai Jue and Shanggu in AOP is the same actor who played young Yi Shui hahaha I saw what you did there director!

this series is, without a doubt, the best in its genre for 2024, setting a new standard for excellence. The OST is equally outstanding, perfectly complementing the narrative. I hope to see more dramas wrapped up as skillfully as this one. Kudos to the entire team for a job well done!

This drama is a masterpiece! I'm glad that it's not predictable like other sageuks I've seen in the past.

I haven't watched historical kdrama that is comparable to Queen Seondeok or Princess Man for a while. It was a masterpiece! A hidden gem! The OST is perfect too!

Xu Kai has a captivating charm that shines through his chemistry with every female lead in C-dramas. Whenever he acts alongside a female lead, he is the only actor that makes me feel excited and giddy.

Agree with Ancient Love Poetry. This is still one of the best xianxia, only second to Ten Miles Peach Blossom. Shen Li is now in my top faves

I just finished this drama, it has its flaws and annoying supporting characters but they compensated it by wrapping up the ending so nicely…well executed…even my top fave xianxia can’t beat how they executed the ending here…they also used the CGI well and its timing is on point. This is a good drama….there were some revelations towards the end that I did not anticipate, so good job there! and did I mention about the kissing scenes, I think I saw some action there as well, good job to the FL and ML! 🫢😉
