I don't know what the ratings were like for The Smile has Left Your Eyes but the script was good, it was a serious role, definitely not a rom-com and she killed it along with her costar. It absolutely proved her acting chops to me so, if you haven't really watched it, you should. With that and AOS it hit me that she's one of the most reliably talented FLs in NKorea. She definitely has range in her performances even if she and her team have chosen a few projects that weren't also exactly to my taste. Very few actors have a resume with no bad choices on it. Look at Yoo Seung Ho. Great actor with some great roles and quite a few bad ones as well. These two are similar to me in this respect.
Is there a point where the he stops hating her and she stops humiliating herself? If so, please let me know what episode to skip to. I'm on episode 3 right now and I can't take it anymore.
if u have read the manhwa , u'll feel disappointed with this .i mean they tried hard but the manhwa is completely…
After reading the webtoon first, I liked the drama better. s1 and s2. So, not everyone feels the same way. The drama has so much more subtlety and depth. It's moving. But that's partly due to the differences between the two mediums and the fact that they probably shouldn't be compared. imho.
oh my. you want a count? how about you just watch with your eyes closed for the bits you don't like ... there…
there are a couple of difficult fight scenes mainly because s2 pits him against much better fighters ... so he has to keep turning to his unorthodox weapons (including the pen and another sharp instrument) but ... they're telegraphed early enough for you to be ready to turn your head.
Be prepared for the rooftop fight and the final fight. they're both quite brutal because he must win ... but, you'll see them coming and ... in my mind they didn't hit as hard as the ep1, ep7 or the ep8 fights in season 1. Those were the ones that I found hardest to watch.
Also ... there's more humour in this second season. It's kind of zoomed out a bit from the close personal, psychological focus and retributions of s1.
Anyway, i hope you enjoy it all. I think you will.
After finishing i still wonder whether suho is really exist or not in this season and webtoon.
He definitely exists in this season. In fact, his being there is incredibly important for the mood and si eun's development ... and, if we're lucky enough to get a part 3 he will, no doubt, have his own development once again. In the webtoon, he magically steps out of his coma ... at the very end of the story ... only si eun doesn't find out about it until he's back out in life all healed again. happy ending but extremely rushed :-)
what's the amount of detailed disturbing scenes such as the pen one from s1 ep1 & ep8 or the one with the brick?
oh my. you want a count? how about you just watch with your eyes closed for the bits you don't like ... there will be a few but it's still a good story
tbh i found this season to be easier to watch. season 1 was so damn good but after the first half, everything…
I feel the same way that you're describing here. I couldn't even re-watch all of s1 even though I loved it so much ... but I could easily re-watch s2. Knowing what happens in the second half of 1 makes it too emotionally difficult. But I know that there isn't anything in 2 that's going to cause me too much pain. It was all really great though. And I'm looking forward to a s3 with everyone that we love in it.
i know this is an unpopular opinion but i liked this season wayyy more than season 1. myb im just a sucker for…
I loved the first season but omg it was harsh. I've re-watched the first 4 episodes a number of times and then had to stop before the pain begins. S2 I can re-watch all the way through without feeling too badly beat up :-)
you should only watch s1. because if you'll watch s2 after s1, you'll get disappointed. the s2 is good but NOTHING…
please don't listen to people who are saying that s2 is no good. s1 is excellent. It's hard hitting but amazing. And s2 is a good continuation. It's different, not as hard hitting with more funny moments ... that you will need after watching s1. So, please give them both a look. I have no idea why people are being so hard on the second instalment of what will probably be a trilogy. Anyway ... enjoy ...
I haven't even started this yet. I'm just skimming the reviews to see if I want to. But, you know, I just have…
Yes 'different' and 'incorrect' should be clarified.
You're mixing up something that's important when you say that your opinion is correct and other people's opinions are incorrect. Why?Because people have opinions rather than facts when it comes to things like art.
The correct distinction is as follows. Opinions are not fact. People's opinions are not factual. Your opinions are not some kind of objective statement of fact while other people's are different and incorrect.
The word 'correct' or 'incorrect' applies to statements of fact and things that can be proven. You can offer evidence to back up an opinion. You can state your reasons for holding an opinion.
But your reasons and your evidence do not make your opinion into a fact. Your opinion can be well supported or not ... but it is still just an opinion and someone else's opinion is still just their opinion. Neither of you are holding onto facts.
So, don't claim that your opinions are correct as if they are facts. Instead ... go to the dictionary to learn the next important and related distinction ... between what is subjective and what is objective.
This drama isn’t something that just anyone can appreciate. There are people out there who simply lack the depth…

But, you know, I just have to say that you are way out of line with this comment. Painting everyone who doesn't like the things that you like ... as being shallow and stupid ... that's just extremely narrow minded and childish. Let other people have their own opinions and realize that other people may often dislike things that you might even cherish.
And that doesn't mean that they're in some way less than whatever you believe yourself to be. They may have a different experience of life and/or a different taste than you do. And so they won't agree with whatever you happen to be thinking.
Which means that it would probably be a good thing for you to step down as a self-declared arbiter of all good taste. Nobody has been mean to you by disagreeing with you in some demeaning or nasty way. So why are you coming out of the block to be condescending and unkind to anyone who doesn't see things your way?
I mean it can be rough when people cruelly write off the THINGS that we love, but that doesn't mean that we should cruelly write off the PEOPLE who don't share our love for those things. Be a decent person and allow other people to feel differently and disagree with you.
Because he did, that was the whole point. Both Si Eun and Baku went for the limbs. You can’t fight if your limbs…
BJ and the union didn't keep watch on SE. BJ wanted to know what HM was up to and, when he learned there was an interesting new face around HM, he wanted to meet that new face. So, he had his 2nd in command go and get him and bring him in for an appraisal. There was obviously some jealousy over HM in all that. And so he clearly warns SE away from HM.
And then he finds that SE is probably as smart as he is, so he becomes more respectful towards SE than he is towards most of the guys he knows. And, that's enough respect to keep him from beating up on the smaller, weaker guy who doesn't have the kind of fight training that he received from HM. SE is much like he was before HM's training transformed him into a real fighter.
I feel the same way about BS. I can understand him... mostly ... but I can never forgive him for going full throttle when it was so completely unnecessary. He's quite a memorable character for being such a vile turncoat.
