I don't get this series - it's kind of random. I think maybe this works better as a novel because the plot doesn't…
Kinda nice to read someone else voice what I've been thinking for a while about this series. I absolutely enjoy watching it-- I feel absolutely no shame in admitting I've seen every episode at least twice lol-- but, also, the plot and atmosphere don't have any consistency. Sometimes I find myself double-checking whether I really did not accidentally tune into the latest soap opera: everything is unnecessarily dramatic. Kinn could have just told Porsche the whole plan at the start of the episode (the dude had the upper hand with the gun and still let him run?) And I absolutely lost it when they revealed the whole Tawan-Vegas loveline (also that bare-chested mirror shot? Did the fandom demand more naked Vegas and did the directors have no other way to wiggle this in lol?). I think I've seen Tawan's delusional 'if-I-can't-be-happy-nobody-can' speech in no less than 10 other soap operas before. Moreover, why did Porsche not have a proper convo with Chay? Did Chay simply develop psychic abilities so that he knows all the intricacies of Porsche's mafia side job now? Why is neither of them talking about Kim? At this point the trust issues are also becoming slightly repetitive. Sure, it makes sense that both Porsche and Kinn are coping with some major traumas but does every episode have to showcase that in the exact same way?

I honestly think they're gonna downplay Vegas' masochistic tendencies (and there is still little romantic tension between Pete and him so how are they gonna make that transition?). It may be a bit too controversial. But I may be wrong. I also didn't expect them to commit to the sex scenes either-- and we got a full 'moaning-names-and-tasting-cum' scene so I should be careful here.

Nothing about this show makes freaking sense. The plot has more holes than Swiss cheese. But it is well produced (and hella addictive) cheese so you bet I'll keep watching.

So true! I'm actually so surprised by how well everyone's performing! I mean Lookprae is occasionally a bit too much into her whole super-villain character and Tol's expression is forever stuck in the 'bet-you-don't-know-what-I'm-thinking' stare-- but it's never bad enough to take me out of the story completely. I'm honestly most impressed by the actors playing Gap and Toi: if I hadn't known otherwise I'd say they'd been acting for years!

Would love for these actors to get some more love!

In this case, I think it's more so that the actors in this show are all quite new to the scene. The actors who play Tol's friends and Tin's colleagues have only done modeling in the past (maybe except for Art/Mild who seems to have picked up acting full-time). The guy playing Dr. Doi is a (somewhat amateur) singer and Toi is mostly known for having participated in a popular Thai weight-loss programme.

While some have their own loyal fan-base, none of the actors are true A-list celebrities in Thailand, which might also be the reason this show hasn't done much promotional work.

Hehe, you were the one who got me to watch this show. I'm basically here because of you ♥

Fair! Have to agree with you there: it does indeed seem like the jealousy is not necessarily romantic (or if if it is, I don't think Tol himself has the awareness to recognise the feeling as such yet). I think he's just a tad bit hotheaded and possessive in general and the feeling of "ownership" (as you called it) is just a response to him not getting Tin's undivided attention. He is realising he is not as special and desirable to Tin as he initially thought. All of a sudden, Tin's visit to his parents no longer seems that stalker-ish.

I also really hope we'll see more of Tol's character development next episode now that Tin's out of the picture! Maybe absence makes the heart grow fonder? I do really wonder what that's gonna look like, tho, because Tin instilled in him some serious anxiety with that finished 'you're gonna die, meet me in the hospital' speech. I'd be majorly freaked out, lol.

I think @anchorenomore had a theory that the time loops may be transferring to Tol this upcoming episode, and I seriously hope that'll happen. I'd love to see more of Tol's inner world.

Is it really not that consistent, tho? The guy seems like the jealous type to me-- he pretty much sucker punched Tin in the face only a few episodes ago (just because Tin's warning about Mai sounded vaguely suggestive). It also fits with his rich, snobby personality: he's not used to not getting what he wants. Maybe that's also why his interest in Tin spiked all of a sudden. All of a sudden Tin's 'exchange value' improved exponentially (to use that type of terminology, Tin's studying Business Administration after all 😂).

That could mean two things 1) the loop is still on-going and he isn't dead, but in surgery 0r 2) the loop will…
Oh my gosh! Transferring the loop! Hadn't thought of that but that would be so interesting! That would also interlink their fates!

isn't that poetic justice in a way? or maybe karmatic retribution? Both beautiful and Sad at the same time.
Yeah, exactly! That's what I'm also thinking! The whole thing just fits the typical Buddhist approach to life and death, and it seems like Tin is experiencing some major karma for his wish. Better go make some merits soon, boy. 👀

Edit: assuming he will wake up soon at least. Oop-

Isn't Pete technically the head bodyguard?
Hope he gets paid well because I'd need some serious coin to be okay with the kind of emotional damage I'd have to endure lol.

I'm starting to wonder whether Tol is living on borrowed time here. Maybe the guy had to actually drown in that lake during his childhood. Maybe the time-loops are simply ramifications of Tin sending out that life-saving prayer into the universe-- his very own lesson to not play with life and death. Things ought to happen when they happen.

Fun! 'Fire Exit' is the better English title for this one. 😜 The eventual plot-reveal is a bit shaky (what can you expect from a literal advertisement, really) but there were enough silly one-liners and top-tier cinematography that made up for it. Worth the watch for the interesting colour grading and camera angles alone.

i %100 ship porsche with vegas in the show they have amazing chemistry , they actually get along well and vegas…
Idk, man, I think they deserve each other. They're both emotionally constipated and have major trust issues-- like you'd expect from a mafia boss and illegal street-fighter. They both need to work through some major traumas but their relationship doesn't seem unbelievable to me. It's exactly that mutual understanding and angst that attracts them to each other.

Title Body Snatcher Spoiler
I don't think I fully understood the symbolism of this one.
So... if I understand this correctly, the Bal-Bal is a Filipino monster that replaces corpses with a banana trunks, leaving the coffins of the deceased empty. Is this a commentary on the War on Drugs and the way people keep disappearing under Duerte's regime? Or am I overthinking now? Do the family members know that the corpse has disappeared (and simply act like they don't notice the banana plant)? Or are they really blind to it?
