I love LXY but I dropped his last three dramas. This one looks really good and the plot sounds interesting, so…
I didn't drop In Blossom, but I dropped the other two. Kill Me Love Me was a show I HIGHLY anticipated for months, but it fell flat. I feel so bad for LXY, he has the looks, skill, voice and charisma, but the plots just don't work. I hope this is the one. My man needs to get the recognition he deserves 🥲
I started this when it first aired, but had to drop it because of the bad subs. I've been meaning to watch it, but uni got in the way. I started it again yesterday with my sister (who doesn't watch dramas), so I can catch up before S2, and we're both really enjoying it, already in EP 10. I love everything about it so far, costumes, acting, characters, etc. The banter between HWF and JCY is soooo funny! It's getting more and more interesting. I'm currently in the EP where JCY's friend is flying a kite and goes to take a peek at Mu Dan, but falls on her flowers. I'm curious to find out who he is because they hid his face at first, and JCY seems to listen to him (he doesn't do much listening usually). Can't wait to watch more!
I don't have much to say about the leads, I've watched them before and their both fantastic! The actress who plays the girl abused by her husband and now working with Mu Dan is in LLTG, I was racking my brain trying to remember where I saw her from because her cunning eyes were so familiar 😭
I feel bad for Mu Dan's husband, but he needs to GET A GRIP!
Ratings are often untrustworthy... They have a lot to do with hype, idol and fan clubs. I've seen fantastic dramas…
You HAVE to watch "One and Only" , everything in that show was perfectly executed, watch it for the plot not him and see if you like it! I highly recommend! It has a sequel which was really sweet and you appreciate it more after watching the first one, the sequel is modern and i love how understanding and compassionate they both were, there is no conflict between them which might not make sense but it does because they were both so gracious and took things step by step. I adore them!!! I also feel like it generally has a good score on MDL (don't check incase of spoilers) Which could be higher but i know why it's not.
For Xan Xia's I haven't watched a lot tbh, the second cdrama I watched was Ten Miles of Peach blossom because of the great reviews and i enjoyed it as I went on, i was a bit skeptical at first but stuck it out, i still rewatch it. Till the end of the Moon, Legend of Shenli, Lost you forever, The starry love. I can't get myself to watch Ashes of love tho, I also want to watch Ancient Love Poetry.
I will try Love and Destiny and get back to you, I like Ni Ni because one of the shows that i really wanted to watch before i started watching cdramas is Rise of the Pheonix, I still haven't watched it tho! Just seen some scenes. Such a gorgeous show i still have still cuts of it saved on my pinterest. What should i expect from it and when does it get good?I already know how it ends but i still want to see how the story unfolds Just seen some scenes. What movies of hers do you recommend?

I believe Joseph Zeng is dubbed in Feud so you're good!
For me, Yu Shuxin changed my mind in Love Game In Easter Fantasy, the cute acting fit so well there in my humble opinion, I still haven't watched LBFAD because of her acting there. For MJTY i felt like she (or her character) kept making these faces whenever she was in a difficult position, LIKE GIRL THEY'RE GOING TO CATCH YOU if you keep doing that. Apart from that, she was great!
Similar to the case of Feng Shaofeng, sometimes I feel like some scripts bring out the best performances in people, like Ren Jialun in "One and Only" and its sequel, he hasn't done anything that has impressed me that much since then.
Ouuu i haven't watched Chang Chen maybe i'll watch Love and Destiny.
I have been hesitating to watch this drama as I already knew from the get-go how this will end. But, despite my…
I didn't know much about Kdramas in 2023 and this was the second one i watched, and it was fantastic, I tried looking Junho up to watch the rest of his shows and there wasn't much because he's an IDOL, i was so suprised, he truly bore his soul out for this show. As you said his performance in King the land seems like a different person mostly because it doesn't warrant such a performance but i will never forget his performance here even if he never acts again.
This show was a master piece and had the body to be more than 17 episodes, there was so much that wasn't explored. How the show generates conversation between people on what they thought about the characters and situations.
I also think knowing a bit about the history helps. I didn't know about Prince Sado before I watched it, and that would've helped a lot. I was so confused about the kings actions towards San, we could tell he loved him but was still very harsh on him, knowing the history helps you digest the show better. That's why I said this show could've gone on for longer, because it's genuinely interesting. I might read the book by Prince Sado's mother, "Memoirs of Lady Hyegyŏng"
The letter ( I believe it's a letter) written by San to Deok Im after she........ could've been a monologue at the very end of the show, i think that could've been a nice touch.

curious why aren't you a fan of the leads? tbh i'm indifferent, i've watched the female lead in one show and impressed in this one on how she's able to deliver as 2 different people. I'm watching the Male lead for the first time.
I've been meaning to watch "Tale of Lady Ok as well. I'm currently watching 'Feud," a show I didn't think I would like, mainly because I rarely lean to Xan Xia, but it exceeded my expectations. I stopped after the first 6 episodes were released, but went back, and I love how the story is unfolding. First, it's not the typical misscommunication trope, and you, as a viewer, also face a dilemma as you understand why both have different views, which makes sense. Layers of the story get peeled back more and more as you go on. Really Good imo, and little plot twists that i didn't guess, maybe because I didn't think i would like the show?

And watchers are getting more and more brazen about looks, talking about how they won't watch shows if the leads aren't fine even though they give mediocre performances. Does anyone know why they put constraints on the episodes.
Whilst on this topic, I actually think back to the story of Minglan and how I think the male lead is one of the best I've seen, but I don't think people will watch because of his "non-idol look", tbh I was skeptical at first, I won't lie, especially at the beginning

Okay that's all for the first 10 episodes
