the dream team issue is adressed and there's no prolonged angst in the next ep so you can continue watching with…
I guessed, but the more I grow old the more I hate those cruel social situations when people are intentionnally rude just to prove they are... "better". like it's better. I just freeze. thanks anyway.
The lady who plays the sister she is perfect in you want to slap her every time she is on the screen but my goodness…
yes she is deliciously despicable.... I agree she is more like a mom. but, perhaps you know, as she works a lot since very young, is very anxious, has marital issues, is going to divorce, is so very sure her father doesn't love her and that's why she manipulate him all the time, that much stress can worn you out. just to find excuses for the person who made the casting.
it took me 2 days to watch the end of episode 12. at the moment I knew where the "dream team" went I stopped the show and barely managed to watch the end as I was sooo anxious....
what the hell labeling it "dream team"! these people are not human.
ok, I heard you.maybe because I am myself a very fast lover, it feels very real and the pace was so very perfect…
I understand the way you go through a relation, but it's not always possible. sometimes you are drawn to somebody and it's not about the look or the social status. it's just that this person attract you and you feel helpless to fight against it.
it's reductive to say that superficial relationship is only about look. a person says a lot about herself/himself only with the clothes, the posture, the voice, intonation and quality of speaking, the behavior and the kindness or unkindness shown in actions and words.
just with 1 date you can say A LOT about someone, if you know what to look at. the way someone eats is also very significative, the way you drink, the way you behave with everyone with less status and money than you.
you can choose to have any conversation you want and you’ll know very quickly how smart and cultured that person is. You will also know if they are able to have a conversation where they have no personal interest (social and emotional skills).
you can learn sooo much in only one date! but I agree with you that compatibility test needs some time, and if you go ahead of yourself it means you need to have the nerves to break up when compatibility test fails.
this being said, I agree with Ivy, the 2 ML relationship is more mature than usual. they are more honest with themselves than what I am used to in asians' dramas. and it's really heart candy.
i love lee junho and yona but the romance was way too fast for me and by the newest ep it lost me. every conflict…
ok, I heard you. maybe because I am myself a very fast lover, it feels very real and the pace was so very perfect for me. in my opinion, people love each other first (meaning they feel interested and hooked by their partner) and on the next step they can search for information : who is he/she, what does he/she like, how does he/she live?
you will not be interested to learn these things if the person didn't make you curious. the confession or even the marriage don't mean the story is over. things can go bad ways at every moment and you can change your mind at all time. this also is love story.
and lastly, I love unique stories, so I feel a little annoyed when I recognize the same steps in different stories. changing is also nice. perhaps my opinion isn't shared by many, but maybe you'd love to know why other people loved this.
I really like it but it's not addictive. I have no issue watching just 1 episode a day, and I even skip it twice. I love how the 2 ML interact with each other, and I really think it's a shame the same level of interaction isn't found in the other relationships.
the score is dropping slowly as I reach the end part of the show. it was 8/10 until episode 8, it's now 7/10 on episode 9. maybe because I don't feel like Gu Won is 100% into his war against Gu Hwa Ran. this should be the central plot and it feels like some accessory to the story.
watching this at a snails pace I felt so bad for gu won at the end of episode 3/ beginning of ep 4 😞
I also chose to watch it slowly so I reach the last episodes in the time they are airing. I sometimes watch 2 episodes, and sometimes none. there is 1 week remaining and I am in the middle of it. 1 episode a day was a good pace.
im in ep 6 still finding it boring does it get better?
why did you go so far if you are bored? there are so many good shows out there, drop it already! I really enjoy it, so it is certainly not to your taste.
ok so this couple just stole the first place in my "top first kiss" podium. the previous one was "a business proposal". I really loved their first kiss, but this one is wayyy better!
everything about her is odd. I just can't figure out if she was always mean in the first place or if she became mean out of frustration after she understood that fuheng would never be in love with her.
whatever she did was putting herself in a difficult position, or even destroying every chance to have a good life. she was smart and gave very good advises to ming yu, when ming yu was the one being jealous. it means that she fairly understood the pros and cons of the decisions she made in the situation she was herself in. but she chose consciously the wrong way to deal with it. she lead herself in a situation where everybody would hate her. who does that?
my point is, her behavior isn't consistent. the only way I could explain it is this one: narcissistic people often destroy the very person who is saving their life. they seems to be enable to understand that they are hurting themselves in the process until it's too late. they do it out of envy, because they think too highly about themselves: "if he/she can save me, that means he/she thinks I am less powerful than they are. and I am not."
the problem is, even if we assume she is a narcissist, she goes way too far... I mean she makes too dangerous decisions, and act too dangerously compared to the benefits she can gain out of it. for example, she knew that her relationship with the queen was one of those helping her to stay in fuheng's life. she had very little to gain in destroying the queen, and a lot to loose. if we assume that she wanted to hurt fuheng and the queen, all she had to do was killing her step-mother. no need to enter the forbidden city again, not as risky as killing the queen, and she would be the only mistress of her house.
I really don't understand this character. what do you think about this?
my 2nd spoiler will be about wether or not ying luo loved the king.
she said she did, but I don't believe it. 2 reasons:
1st: when people are kidnapped (kept in detention, here in the forbidden city) they tend to love their geolink (Stockholm syndrome). here, the king, because he is the only person free to leave the forbidden city if he wants, and also the only person who can decide whether those who live in the city can leave it. It is also the person with the most power, the one who can protect you or kill you with one word. this attachment mechanism is intended to ensure survival. the longer capture lasts, the deeper the attachment.
2nd: she is never honest with him. we can compare her conversations with fuheng to those she has with the king. With the king she makes a lot of noise. she manipulates him all the time. she pretends to want something, then changes her mind, she’s very unpredictable, which is consistent with a lack of trust and a seduction game. with fuheng she is serious. she speaks little (although she also plays). but above all, she is very honest, she says straight forwardly what she wants (her revenge), and does not manipulate him or play games. That means she not only loves him, but she trusts him. most of all, the only person in the world to have a scented pouch embroidered by ying luo, is fuheng.
what are your feelings about these? I don’t think she should have gone back to the forbidden city. But she had to take revenge, didn’t she?
my first spoiler will be about the 2 last episodes
why was it disappointing for me? 1st, the insects thing was like a dive inside a fantasy style story. I know the drama isn't historical (or is it?), but it could be. this insects thing had nothing to do here. I searched on the internet and couldn't find any "corps' bug". if this do exist, please tell me. 2nd, it was a little too easy to kill fuheng. it's like they didn't know how to deal with this character while wrapping the story. 3rd, yuan shun wang was obviously telling the truth about his birth otherwise the empress dowager would not react this way. 4th, ying luo didn't want to be the empress because of the duties embedded in the role. but still ended up being in charge. I don't think it suits her, even in the old age.
To me it was a total waste First of all, when he travels back and comes to 2018 for the 1st time, realising that…
as I said, so many things should have been said and done, and so many shouldn't.... we agree, it was a very disappointing drama. maybe you meant I should have score it less? I don't know.... I really loved the beginning, and I hope someone REmake it and hold all the destiny's threads together.
I enjoyed it too, it was so promising! that's why I was so disappointed in the end...
but the way it happened was disappointing. he didn't want to be with her and all of a sudden she knows everything about the highway and have her way by force. she didn't learn anything. she did the same stalking when she met him for the first time and I hated it. and then, here she is doing it again like that's a good thing! he evolved a lot but she didn't. and I really hate this idea that you have to stalk your lover to be with her/him. that's disgusting. I don't know if you understand my point of view...?
like it's better. I just freeze. thanks anyway.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one to stop at that moment. It’s more than an embarrassing moment.
I agree she is more like a mom. but, perhaps you know, as she works a lot since very young, is very anxious, has marital issues, is going to divorce, is so very sure her father doesn't love her and that's why she manipulate him all the time, that much stress can worn you out. just to find excuses for the person who made the casting.

oh my god! the cop's encounter was legendary! I laughed so much!
I misread and thought it was episode 14!
