The male lead has a very innocent and baby-like face that just screams "PROTECT ME" >.
He's such a good actor and nails the role of Ji Oh. He portrayed completely different characters in Punch and Gangnam Blues, so I just love watching him play a vulnerable man for once.
this drama getting better and better ... by the way Kim Rae Won's body *o*
KRW - I know, right? He lost a ton of weight for this role. He's back to his normal self in all the promo interviews and stuff but damn, he has an incredibly slender body as Ji Oh.
LOL the screenwriter or director must have a personal grudge against the cast. I don't think i've ever seen so…
Not sure if you have watched Duel and Awaken, but they share similar themes as LUCA and the MLs gets bashed up quite a bit too. It's not as frequent, but there's a fair amount of violence inflicted on the poor hero by the antagonists. Gives off "us against the monsters" vibes.
I don't think he was an evil person at all. He just wasn't someone who could accept creating a new species in a lab, and didn't want the human race placed at risk as a result. If you consider everything he said from the start, he was trying to protect Gu Reum and did so until the end, when he didn't disclose that Ji Oh was staying at her house. He even asked her to lock him up at the police station, not bring him to his lab. Pity, I was hoping he would stick around for longer and help GR and JO on their quest.
So those who watched Awaken before L.U.C.A. discussed certain similarities regarding the plotline, right? You guys, after watching Episode 3 I just realized the same child actor (Oh Han-Kyul) who portrayed Jung Woo in Awaken is playing the younger version of Ji Oh in L.U.C.A. :D
For me these first 2 episodes were perfect. I don't think the story is boring or the pacing is slow, on the contrary,…
I agree. Some people don't seem to understand science fiction/fantasy storylines. It may not be their preferred genre, but it's kinda annoying to wade through all these "so unrealistic", "no development" or "too fast/too slow" comments. It's classified as a mystery/thriller, so what's the point in revealing everything in the first few episodes?
Expectant mothers sacrificing their babies, dead babies stored in jars, human experimentation, "investors" who are willing to kill to get their "investment" back in the lab....yeah, I think there will be a dark tone right throughout the series. It's not ALL dark though. It's similar to Awaken, if you have watched that already.
The rating dropped :( I was excited for all the hype at the beginning but i think i'll skip this drama u_u
It's a perfectly decent drama if you're looking for a suspense/thriller with sci-fi thrown into the mix. I found it interesting enough to watch it weekly instead of waiting to binge it over a weekend once it finished airing.
I found this show boring at first, because I expect this will be some kind of "detective things" like that. Then…
YES! I wish others who complain about "no romance, waaaahhhh.." and how their favourite actor/actress isn't given much screen time would understand this is at heart a revenge/suspense drama with sci-fi elements thrown in. It's not at all unusual for one character to take center stage, given there are only 16 episodes to complete the story.

Is there some sort of rule that dictates dramas tagged with "romance" are required to have at least one kissing scene in the first 14 episodes?
>> No kissing scenes, seems like there is no romance at all than between male lead and female lead..
Ever heard of unrequited love?
Greed, my friend, greed.
