Many thing will be rushed here on my guessing.

Eight some eps could have squished into 2/3 .The only three thing to remember is when King found out about the kids and forcing his mother to uproot Lao Ai .Last is non satisfying abrupt punishment of the offenders.I was hoping for the punishment scene to be more explicit(Tv censorship to blame?). Lots of scrambles and running not necessary.all the extras deployments scenes could have brought out a great few minutes scramble.Intensity would have been much rememberable.Isnt fsu is mostly safe with his father, i guess Donger deserves some sentiments for being so nice and caring . Coming of age ceremony does it need to be split into three .feells like it rehashed a bit lost focus.They are all fillers for drags.Lao Ai character constructs is portrayed poorly from a bit courageous to timid dumb to fierce aggressor general.I guess Lao Ai Zhao ji is important for the story but for a 78eps drama they took quite a chunk . Drama is not pacing where they showed earlier they can be paced a bit perplexing and disappointing to look for future eps.

Compare to recent days drama yes way high budget Seen some Kurosawa movies when i first saw donger serving Ying Zheng at the palace i felt hey her costume look japanese and Ying Zheng costume often looks like so too .So is few other females .

What i found interesting about those real terracotta army is that their military advancement , makers have researched their stuff well, they even showed forgot which episode weapons engraved with Lv Buwei , forge masters and black smith name to trace back any faulty equipment to be accounted for , fascinating stuff, even found in one Docu that the sword they used were coated with chromium oxide to prevent rust that hadn't been used yet in Germany 1930 and America 1950.Just stunning.The more i am digging the more its getting interesting

Yes makeup artist could've stolen some powder from zhao ji's powder box or whatever they call it and sprinkled lil bit on her head and i have no problem. Still watchable though.

One has the atrocious facial expressions for his character age another with the snake oil salesman+thuggish persona. Both of em leapfrogged astronomically .

Yes some parts of wall already exists from previous dynasty but I thought its entrance should be highlighted in this dynasty. Meng Tian and Mend Ti i think both of them brothers right? haven't control over court meaning ?

love you like it. my focus is also on the unification.You know i change my mind i mean how can i say i missed jackies movies its just i have no recollection whatsoever lol i probably seen it but judging by the trailer mind was just revolting

I have a feeling they will be more concentrating on the nation building aspects of things more than anything else.If they don't bring up the Terracotta warriors story (at some shape of form) at part2 which they should, would be disappointing.

most movie i have watched except jackie's the myth (2005)and Fight and love with a terractoa warrior (1990). The emperor and the assasin(1999) i remember vaguely but i think i have seen it.Did you watch jet li brendn fraser movie The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. which had overly fictionalized terracota army with great cgi works and i think jet will was the emperor .

Now in this drama (most probably in part2 or part 1) we get to see the actual story why terracotta army exists ?. They have to show the great wall story too.

This drama is close to a docudrama.Attention to details is really praiseworthy. they are limiting the creative freedom(fictionalized portion) in story telling but making up in other arenas(Comparatively).

Theres some thing bothers me is can we call Ying Zheng Qin Shi Huang that is the emperor before he unified all states ? as he himself created the title after unified them.(some times text say emperor shouldn't they say king?(But then its not wrong but can confuse) He ascended the throne of Qin as king(?) year 246BC at age 13 , unified all states (conquest of Han 230BC -> Wei in 225BC-> Chu in 223BC->Zhao+Yan in 22BC -> final conquest Qi in 221BC .Then Declare himself The first Sovereign Emperor of china and we know him as Qin Shi Huang at age 38


Also Mausoleum of emperor (terracota) which took 38s year 246BC to 208BC so what point of time in this drama they will brought it up (at all ?) remain to be seen. also there's the Great Wall story to be told( at all ?)
i am aslo starting to think they are going to stretch it quite a few episodes as they have good historical importance. i am also beginning to believe this dramas Warring States Period will stretch to part 2 as there's not enough time

I enjoyed the convo between Zhao yan and guo kai when they were talking about how to deal with lian Po and li Mu not having available,and guo kai suggested a guy forgot his name( pang may be ) as a replacement and zhao yan was saying wasnt he over 100 guo kai said no he is just over 80.

I was thinking this part1 will be limited to only ascension of the first emperor only and party 2 is his tenure. so all the wars will be squished in part 1. my only resource is wiki have to dig them more,

I have seen some of the footages of other qin empires drama looks good production will watch them after i get through this .
