This was just okay for me. I had to fast-forward through all the Top/Mew scenes from about Ep 6 on. This is the…
Glad I’m not the only one who didn’t care for Top and Mew. I haven’t seen them in anything other than this (slipping on my Thai shows the last couple years), but their acting was definitely not the strongest on top of the fact that the characters they were portraying really sucked as people (imo).
I really enjoyed the show. Nothing too groundbreaking, but I liked the fact that the characters were flawed like real people. Even Mew, who came across initially as the sweet, innocent, good friend showed that he could be spiteful and vindictive. In the end, the story arc for Boston and Nick was probably the most meaningful because it showed character growth for Nick (learning to put himself first) and for Boston (learning that trying to change himself to fit someone else isn’t always the way to get what you want).
Now for some actual opinions, I really really really disliked Top and Mew as characters and as a couple. No matter how much Mew tried to change his character, he just came across as smarmy. Mew was no better because he always behaved high and mighty even when he was being hateful. April had such a small amount of screen time, but she was a very warm character. I wish she and Cheum had more screen time, but as is the case in a BL, the token lesbian couple isn’t going to be in the forefront.
Good show, loved the way they showed common behavior that is often hidden (drinking, smoking, kissing/sex) and even the lesser common things such as illicit drug use, addiction (alcohol), cheating and general promiscuity. Makes it more realistic in the sense that, in a show about some really flawed people, it would have been wildly unrealistic if none of these things occurred.
Give it a try if you’re considering it. It was worth the time for me.
I kind of wish I didn’t start watching this while it’s airing because I feel that desperation to see the next episode. I’m really enjoying it- like, normally it’s uncomfortable to see someone being awkward and weird like Hira, but I actually vibe with him really well. I can feel the way he’s disconnected from society at large but pulled towards Kiyoi with intensity. And I don’t blame him when he says Kiyoi is beautiful- because damn, he really is. The tension between them is like, not really there, but it’s ready to be there if that makes sense. I can’t wait to see when they start being more open with each other!
It’s strange, but this show went backwards. It constantly felt like it was losing steam. Everything felt more dramatic in the beginning, but by the last episode, everything just felt so anticlimactic. And the final episode- sad for me to say it, but I was so bored, I could barely pay attention. I really liked it in the beginning, but my rating continued to drop as time went on. And I know I’m not the only one.
I love the chemistry between Pat and Pran already. And can I say that Ohm has grown up into a big, sexy piece of eye candy. I adored his acting from the beginning, so this is icing on the delicious cake lol
The reconciliation between Aek and Aue seemed awfully quick. Like, I get that Aek had that emotional and mental hurdle over coming out to his mom, and that was all good and fine… but it feels like there was something pretty critical missing between that and the sudden sweetness between Aek and Aue. Aek asked his friend for help/advice/whatever, but that doesn’t translate into how the flow of the interaction between the two ended up. Unless I missed something? I don’t know, just my opinion.
Talk about acting chops, the boys killed it in episode 4. Especially Jame. I want Mix for Match and Ryu for me.…
Right?! I think Ryu is gorgeous. I hate to be that person that compares people, but he’s like a Thai version of Machida Keita (Kurosawa from Cherry Magic). I don’t know why he reminds me of him so much. Both lovely guys :)
Jeez, they FINALLY gave Uncle Nut a decent makeover in the last episode?!?
I said the same thing! He looks so much better with the slight bit of facial hair. Even Satha looked better with his hair out of his face. The last episode had everyone looking much better than the whole series. What a difference “two months” makes lol
Can you believe no one cut their hand on that broken plate? Also Aek not wearing socks in his converse was...hmm…
I cackled at this. Anytime there’s a knife or broken kitchenware in a drama, I get nervous for that someone is going to mortally wound themselves (because obviously no one can use a knife or clean up sharp debris properly). These shows really have traumatized us lolololol
Loved it. The kids did a good job :) I love Hongseok looking so gorgeous as a high school student even at age 27 lol. He’s so lovely… but anyways, here’s my takeaways-
1. Didn’t care for the “kiss”. I’m never a fan of those almost-kinda-maybe kisses. I would have preferred no kiss over this.
2. It seems like Oh Ha Rin and Ji Seo Jun got off easy; like I’m trying to figure out with all the major time traveling and changes and messing with timelines and stuff, what was their major fallout? Only thing was Ji Hye Min died, but I hate to call that a “not major” fallout. She was really messed up and was an unredeemable character (unwilling or unable to change her ways).
3. The last statement actually brings me to this one. Maybe their major fallout is coming- they did reveal (maybe unintentionally at the time) that burning those pictures would let them travel back to the past. In the very end, SOMEONE brings another camera to the old guy at the shop. I’m thinking it’s Ch Eun Sung. He never did give himself the chance to actually confess to Oh Ha Rin because when he finally got the nerve, he realized how well loved-up Oh Ha Rin and Ji Seo Jun were. Now he has the chance to go back and get to her heart first.
Loved the show. It wasn’t perfect, but I enjoyed watching it all the same (have to support my PENTAGON babies in everything they do).

What else did I miss? Lol! After watching Thai BLs for so long, you’d think I would be used to this by now, but I felt like I was being clobbered over the head with it this episode. I’m not going to touch on anything else because it looks like it’s all been said.
P.S. Gameplay is my baby (so gorgeous), but damn it if this Zung (Aue) doesn’t have something to him. He radiates something like a subtle sexual tension in everything he does. And I do like the budding chemistry between Aek and Aue already. Woot!
Okay, so sue me if my main reason for watching this is for Hongseok <3 And that being said, after seeing him crying in a couple episodes, I couldn’t take it. I know it’s just really Ji Seo Jun, but it’s still his beautiful face! Ugh!
And not for nothing, but I saw someone say in a comment that Ji Seo Jun doesn’t have much personality. I think he’s written like that because he tries to be a regular guy, to fit in because he FEELS like a replacement. He knows he was adopted by his parents when their real child went missing, so he will always feel kind of like an outsider. I think that’s where his demeanor comes from. Just my opinion though.
Side note: Hye Min was really good these last couple episodes. The actress portraying her did a good job because I really wanted to mess her up.
I’m curious to see how this series will end- only two episodes left! I have so many theories (like what the significance of the camera falling in the supply closet in ep. 14 could mean), but I’m not great with deep theorizing like some of these people in the comments (lol), so I’ll just wait and see what happens :)
The Leon/Pob storyline is so cute. Leon looked truly wounded when the kiss didn't succeed.I like that Leo and…
I’m so glad someone else thinks just as I do. I want Fiat’s past to not be glommed over like it isn’t significant to him as a person/character.
And yes, Anda is hot. I have been distracted by her since I first saw her. I felt almost crazy because I feel like I’ve been so lost in these gorgeous men from BLs and my K-pop boy groups love (see: obsession) that I sometimes almost forget I’m really queer lol. But yeah, she’s uniquely hot ;)
I enjoyed this film more than my original expectation. Firstly, I feel like many people fail to realize that sexual assault DOES actually happen to men. And a man who has been subjected to that kind of assault, as well as other physical and emotional trauma from childhood isn’t always in the correct mind frame to fight back or learn to properly accept their self-worth.
That being said, I liked the progression of the attraction between Shuo and Light because it wasn’t just sexual- Shuo showed Light how it is to be cared for without any expectation of anything in return. I think the scene where Shuo was “taking care” of himself in the bathroom and Light starting to do the same outside the door while listening in was probably one of the most notable things in this film for me because it showed that Shuo, as a man, even with his desires, didn’t take advantage of a seemingly willing Light (evidenced by the shower scene), and also Light having a sexual experience that was based on real desire, not money and not trauma.
Obviously, the movie wasn’t perfect, but in such a short runtime, it did a lot to convey its message. Light learns to stand up for himself (reports his assault and gets a legitimate job), and Shuo realizes his mistake at not believing Light and searching him out. I hope for more content like this in the future.
The production team have never said how many episodes it will have. MDL initially guessed at 4 because that's…
I guess that makes sense. I’m not upset or anything; more confused than anything lol. I’ll keep on watching because I like to support independent works, especially LGBT :)
Okay, so I thought this was done? Hit “Completed” after episode 4, then suddenly there’s a teaser for episode 5. Put it back in my “Currently Watching”, watched episode 5, done. Now there’s a teaser for episode 6? I’m starting to wonder if anyone (even the production crew) knows how many episodes this will be. Not giving them crap (I know it’s a small, independent type production), but it keeps hanging over my head :^|
Sweet, cute and japanese emotional style. So far on my top 5 of 2021. The main actor, Jin is hot as hell, his…
Jin is very gorgeous! He made watching this series even more enjoyable ;)
And his hands- yes, they are hot! I must have a thing for Japanese men’s hands (k-pop rapper Adachi Yuto, I must talk him up at any opportunity lol). I never knew I could think hands were hot until I looked at his. I think most people fall for the veiny arms like Mew’s (Tharn from TharnType).
