Originally, I had no intention of watching this miniseries because I thought, “Oh, just another advertisement stretched out into a silly story.” But after watching “He She It” and living for Jeff and Gameplay’s chemistry, I decided to give it a try (I already loved cutie Gameplay from his bit part in “Love Sick”). I don’t regret making that decision.
These boys are so beautiful and sweet. The love that blossomed from being roommates to friends to falling in love was so incredible. Marwin and Tops are soulmates and I know that they will always love each other, even over the distance, even chasing their individual dreams. I had tears streaming down my face pretty much the entire finale episode. I hope one day in the future, we can maybe get a special episode of them reuniting after successfully realizing their dreams while staying in love. That would be amazing.
And Jeff and Gameplay- love you two to the moon and back, and I’ll keep following all that you do.
For now, I will see what “KinnPorsche” has in store for us.
I guess I’m in the minority, but I really love Thanu and Phai. They both seem like they’re drifting along, in search of something they can’t explain. I think they are a cute pairing, and I found myself squealing (no joke, and I never do this) when they FINALLY officially met. I don’t know why, but I’m actually invested in their connection. The mutual vision- not sure how I felt about that, but I get that they needed to link the soulmate/destiny idea.
On the other hand, Mark and Kit were great this episode. Their chemistry is great (KimCop), so it doesn’t feel awkward. Not much else to say other than they are pacing each other nicely.
I did honestly miss Jack and Koh this episode. I’m with the rest of you guys who want to see them together. Nothing like the ol’ enemies-to-lovers trope hammed up with some comedy.
What I did find myself missing also was Saeb- what a mischievous kid! And if he was going to cause some mayhem, it should be with Padbok because he seems like such a prick that needs a fiery young many to put him in check. That would be awesome ;)
I don’t really care about the rest. Wayu has become a throwaway cryer who doesn’t know how to move on, and the rest of the cast are either filler or no one cares. Like, who gives a fig if this student president cheated on his exam? If you want to bring him up, why not explore the crush the athlete he’s been tutoring has on him? It’s a BL (with no hiding that fact either), so that wouldn’t exactly be problematic for the viewers, LOL.
Three episodes left- let’s see how they tighten this up to lead into more seasons or if it goes down in flames. I hope the former, because I actually enjoy this show a lot and use it as the light distraction from all the other heavy and serious stuff I watch.
Tf is with that cheating on the exam Scène it was so random and I dont think any body cares but ok
Exactly! Like, the show is almost over- if we need to see anything more about this president guy and the one he’s been tutoring that has a crush on him, then it should be related to that because that’s already been established. Why bring in something plot-wise totally new this late?!
Geez, now that I know that Cholo has had feelings for Migo all along and that he just wanted his best friend to get to know him first, it really makes the situation crappy. I mean, the “deal” Cholo made with Ram was odd, but I get not having the confidence to confess your romantic feelings to a friend you’ve had since childhood. And now that we’ve seen the development of feelings between Migo and Ram, it really makes Ram seem like an as$hole because he knew how Cholo felt about Migo. People can’t help their feelings, though. What a mess!
And what a messy situation between Chesca/Cass and Josh/Andrei. The girls are probably the most straightforward because even though it wasn’t explicitly said, Chesca knows how Cass feels about her and seemingly doesn’t reciprocate. Cass is now awkward/uncomfortable and tries to brush it off. Typical of what a person does when they’re embarrassed. I think a friendship or something can still be salvaged between them, though, since they weren’t friends initially before Ram and Migo meeting. But with Josh and Andrei- oh man. Andrei seems to have caught mad feels and a serious case of jealousy. I feel bad for him because I think his attraction (to a man who is also his friend) is a new thing, and he’s not really sure expressing himself well. And Josh, he’s just enthralled with this new man Max who is so sweet that he’s swept up. And the hostility or overbearing behaviors he’s experiencing from Andrei probably seems to him like Andrei is uncomfortable about knowing his sexuality and their friendship has become tense. I really hope they can work it out because I think they would really be good together.
I’m curious to see where this series goes because there’s only two episodes left but plenty of things unresolved.
Episode 4: I like this series so far, but man, Bryce is maddening. I'm pretty sure they're not in middle school…
Yes to everything you said. Bryce is really aggravating my nerves! Like, why are you like this? Also, what was that sly inside comment/joke between him and Josh about “Oh that’s why he’s here” after Josh finds out that Bart is from the provincial areas (where Bryce’s family owns properties)? I hope they shed some light on that soon. But... good God, these are some gorgeous men. Sometimes when a series casts actors to play a model, I’m like... yeah, maybe. But these men are beautiful. I’m excited to see where this goes. I hope Bart gets brave and stands on his own two feet.
The story wasn’t bad, but the script needed work and the acting needed some serious improvement. Not bashing on anyone though. I enjoyed the series, even with all the cringiness. I do wish it was a little more BL forward, but that’s not a real criticism because the romantic aspects of the show weren’t the main focus. If they decided to remake this in the future (new cast, improved script, etc), I would definitely watch it.
I like the story still, after watching episode 2. But the pacing seems a little confusing? Like I feel there are things implied that have happened since Wade and Jose started communicating through that mirror, but it’s not expressed clearly in the show. I will keep on to see how it goes because there aren’t too many BLs with good supernatural storylines.
Just, wow. I felt so uncomfortable with the way Jaime was blatantly coming on to Winston. I mean, did he forget that the reason for them meeting is so that he can try to woo Heart? Winston didn’t do anything wrong (although his body may have reacted to the stimulation), but Jaime is really sleazy (the double entendres in virtually everything he says and the unnecessary physical closeness). All that being said, the two guys seem to have good chemistry. But I guess I’ll just wait and see where this is going.
Am I the only one invested in the side ships more than the main one? I find Migo and Ram, I don’t know, awkward (and not the cute kind of awkward)? Maybe a little boring? They started out interesting with all the social media drama, status shaming, coming out, etc. but now? I feel like there’s nothing really pulling us viewers to them.
On the other hand, we can see Chesca and Cass have a tension between them, definitely a new friendship and possibly sexual tension. The identity crisis is a way for them to connect. I’m curious to see where they are headed.
But my main interest is Josh and Andrei. I just felt it in my spirit that Andrei would catch feelings seemingly out of nowhere once he found out about Josh’s sexuality. He’s kind of dorky, but you could see his anxiety over Josh in this episode. It wasn’t explicit at first, but when he got physically clingy in his “sleep”, then that stare at Josh, I knew it for sure. I’m not sure how to feel about the whole situation though, because Josh looked so happy talking to Max on the phone. It was like- instant click. But maybe he’s never entertained the idea of something with Andrei because he’s assumed to be straight? I’m most invested in them.
Let’s see where the show is headed. I’m invested just enough to keep up with it, but not bored enough to drop it.
Rokkaku is clueless till the end, I love him hahahahboth of the eps were so funny, I really loved it!
I came here to say just this. He is so clueless, it’s so adorable. I thought for SURE he’d come to the correct conclusion about Adachi and Kurosawa with his sleuthing... but NOPE! Too innocent ;)
Tsuge is just so damn over the top! He kills me! And here, we see that even though Minato cares for Tsuge and is proud of him, he’s still a young man with the insecurities that come with chasing your dreams. They are really sweet and (don’t bite me) more realistic as a couple than Adachi and Kurosawa (and I LOVE them).
I wouldn’t mind seeing more of them and how their relationship progresses and they grow as individuals :)
He is naturally very skinny. If you follow him on any social media, he has seen nutritionists to try to gain more…
I appreciate your POV. At first, it was something I found distracting. But I eventually got accustomed to it- though I totally understand where you’re coming from.
i really reall....wish wayne song was in something else gay lmaooo. i hope huang juan zhi looks healthier in this…
He is naturally very skinny. If you follow him on any social media, he has seen nutritionists to try to gain more mass. But some people are just built like that. I always feel sad when I see people saying he needs to eat more or whatever, when in reality it’s not like he’s trying to be skinny. I hope this series happens and he is in it, because he seems to be such a sweetheart and he did a good job the first season.
I could barely finish the 18 minutes of episode one. I put episode two to play, and I literally turned it off before half a minute passed. This is pretty painful to watch- cringe beyond words.
Nice thoughts. Wish I would have wrote a lot of this myself. I concur that I really am missing Bew. I want to…
Nah, you don’t sound harsh. It’s the truth, though. I just really dislike when such important topics as suicide and mental health are brought up but then brushed aside. It would be better to not even bother, honestly. Just my two cents.
