I was quite disappointed with Episode 4. The plot/storyline was a let down. Screenplay was lazy and lousy. Since…
I didn’t know JACE TV was shutting down. Is that going to happen after “One Night Stand Bangkok”, or is that not happening anymore? I really fell in love with Niko (his acting is good and he is lovely). I want to see him in some finer things.
I’m loving the new season and I’m glad the main cast has returned. But am I the only one slightly annoyed with the Lookmai storyline? I’m all for adding new characters to shake things up, but so far, she just seems incredibly inconsiderate to her friend who has two small babies at home. Other than that, I’m enjoying the show and I’m waiting to see some Kluay storyline.
I can not begin to describe how much I love Jeff and Gameplay together. Their chemistry is amazing, and it translates so well to their characters. If you’ve seen “He She It”, you already know they have great physical chemistry. But in this show, the emotional and romantic pull between them is incredible. The looks in their eyes screams “I’m so in love with you”. Win staring at Tops cooking was like him seeing the most beautiful thing in the word. I really hope Win and Tops get a happy ending.
P.S. Are these boys not gorgeous? Jeff is classically handsome, but Gameplay is so unique that I have trouble looking away from him. His eyes are magnetic and his smile is just so cute that his overall look is quite lovely. Okay, so I might be a little in love with his beauty ;)
P.S.2 Sorry Dome... Tops wasn’t trying to diss/ignore you, but when Win is around, nothing else in the world matters. Better luck with someone else!
I’m really waiting for Thanu and Phai to have that “moment” and actually connect. The looks they’ve shared are pretty intense. And I’m also REALLY wanting a Padbok and Saeb ship. Two hardheaded boys... what could go wrong there ;)
At first, I was confused at the sheer number of characters, but I’m starting to remember who is who. And I’m really enjoying this show. It’s unrealistic, but I think the whole “Y” in the title implies the nature of the show. Everyone is gay or bi or seemingly just willing to get with whoever looks cute. I’m all for it.
P.S. I think if I got through “Why R U?” and “So Much in Love” with their insane amount of characters (and still enjoyed them), I think I’ll manage here somehow LOL
OMG! This show is really good. The episodes are too short, though! I really, really love the intro (which is rare since I usually skip past those), but it takes up a good bit of the runtime... so longer episodes, please! And whew chile, that preview for episode 3... Tuesday can’t come fast enough again ;)
I’m pleasantly surprised with the direction of the story in this series. I watched “Hook Up”, and I wasn’t really sure what to expect here. Episode 3 really stepped things up, and I’m excited for the finale next week.
Side note: Lukas (Niko Badayos) is incredibly stunning! Wow, such gorgeousness. And his acting is fairly good for a newbie. I’m looking forward to his progression :)
Okay, shipping Josh and Andrei now ;) the way Andrei looked at Josh as he was taking care of him looked like “OMG, I think I just realized I like my friend” kind of vibe. And maybe a GL storyline with Chesca and Cass?
I’m really loving this so far. It’s vastly different from other Filipino BLs I’ve seen so far (which, the count has been racking up rapidly, LOL). The witchcraft stuff is always interesting to me. And BL, say no more. Great combination ;) There isn’t really any back information on the younger cast, but we do find out a little bit of the family dynamics of Jennifer’s and Jay’s mother, father, and apparent mistress.
The acting is decent so far, and the cast is quite attractive. While that’s not the most important thing, it certainly doesn’t hurt. The actor for Vee really caught my eye! In the opening credits/sequence, he was quite gorgeous in the black and white striped jacket.
Anyway, I’m excited for more. So many of the Filipino BLs have all been the same virtual chat/phone call set up. And after “Gameboys” and “Hello Stranger”, the rest haven’t quite met those expectations, so a totally different theme and (honestly) the lack of pandemic focus is a breath of fresh air.
What happened with Tin and Sea? Sea was so broken up about Namtarn not reciprocating his feelings... and it looked…
I agree. I was just really hoping that we weren’t “baited” this entire series. It started out so promising, but the direction of the show changed a good bit. I’ll still hold out hope for the finale (without being delusional).
Unless episode 12 is like 2 hours long, I don’t see how they’re going to tie up all the loose ends. See below:
What happened with Tin and Sea? Sea was so broken up about Namtarn not reciprocating his feelings... and it looked like Tin was working on cheering him up (and hopefully moving the ship forward), then BAM! Nothing!
And what about It and Voice? Is this ship even going to happen? Voice is a sweetheart, and it’s obvious It needs a man or something to take the edge off, so this ship should have sailed already. If it does, there would be such a small amount of development between them. Like, we know they know each other and have been close in the past, but what about now?
And the big elephant in the middle of the room. What the hell was up with all those pseudo-confessions all of episode 11? I feel like Tan and Oil are incapable of having a straightforward conversation about themselves. But when Tan was upset/jealous at the end about Oil sneaking out for a date with Khunpon, Tan didn’t have ANY issues asking if he liked Oil and saying he felt like he’d been lied to. Like I keep saying, I know that they’re young and all that, but this is just about “Love Sick” level beating around the bush.
This show suffered from the same thing pretty much all BLs do, and that’s the penultimate episode curse. There’s all the confusion, lying, miscommunication, and everything else crappy you can imagine happening. What’s going to happen in the final episode? Are ANY of these ships going to sail? If they do, it will feel so 11th hour. I was so excited to watching the show in the beginning, but that definitely waned. I just hope this show doesn’t end with a bunch of loose ends or cliffhangers. I hate when shows end with cliffhangers, assuming that S2 will happen, then blah blah blah happens, and then we’re left with unanswered questions forever (I’m looking at you, “My Dream”).
Let’s wait and see... I don’t know what else to say.
ep 11 no tinsea at all, ep10 still have tin cutting banana for sea...these two episodes no pause-melody and it-voice…
The no Tin and Sea was the most egregious issue with this episode. How did they manage to leave us hanging like this since Tin was making those banana sandwiches? I’m so frustrated!
One of the cutest BLs for this year. Both boys are really cute (attractive) and have sweet personalities. There’s…
Am I the only one more nervous than them with that kiss? It was HOT and sweet, but I was like, SERIOUSLY?! After all that protection and work to keep off each other! Geez...
But, at least we’re going to see more Key and Chen. I’m excited! :D
One of the cutest BLs for this year. Both boys are really cute (attractive) and have sweet personalities. There’s usually something that irks me about one or both, but not here. Good side characters who weren’t used too much unnecessarily, good location shooting, lots of good stuff. But...
My comment is totally irrelevant to the show (as review related material), but is it just me or is Andrei like nerdy hot? I was distracted by him all of episode 2...
