Title Kakafukaka
IKR, the name just adds another layer to the humor. I can't even say 'kakafukaka' anymore without laughing a little…
Yes it definitelly is unique. And I suffered a lot :) But nevertheless I was curious about the ending, that's why I couldn't drop it. That's the paradox, right?

This was trully something... hillarious. It is the only way you should look at it. As a comedy. To be honest I had fun watching the first few episodes. Although I knew from the beginning that I should not be investing myself in it, I was mad about the female lead anyways. She was such a pushover. On the other hand that was the base stone of this story so...

This was the most weird love square I have ever seen. They were throwing marriage proposals all over themselves like snowballs. Nothing they did or said made sense. But what creeped me the most was Hase. He was pestering the FL like crazy, invading her privacy in most uncomfortable ways. I mean not that her relationship with Hongyu was healthy but at least they shared their common past and they were just two idiots in love after all.

Should you take something from this mess? Only that if someone suffers from some kind of mental health issues THIS is not the best way how to adress it. It was such an absurd story. Actually - the word "kaka" contained in the name of the show means "shit" in my language. It feels kinda accurate...
On Like in the Movies Apr 14, 2023
This was by far the best Pinoy BL I have seen, in terms of production, acting and OST. Bittersweet with open ending but... it brought out how important it is for someone who just discovered their orientation to take their time and have someone by their side. Not overwhelming and pressuring them but patiently waiting. Beautiful story indeed.
On Meet Me Outside Apr 14, 2023
Right after seeing Kaloy in the first scene I thought he came straight from some Thai BL. Boy he is so handsome. I liked their interactions in the last episode, just watching them without even saying a word gave me all the feelings. Cute and fluffy short series with minimal production but with a lot of impression.

im guessing its 46, XY intersex with undervirilisation that was then corrected via gender affirmation surgery…
Agreed, I was surprised how long the list of the disorders was.
That's why the whole idea behind their story was interesting for me.

Title Choco Milk Shake Spoiler
At one point I thought this would be a throuple relationship too but I think having LGBTQ characters AND a polyamorous…
I think that when he said that part about being a cat he didn't care about the uncle at that time. Just later he realized he is starting to have feelings for him so maye the uncle was the reason he wanted to come back as a human.
On Choco Milk Shake Apr 1, 2023
This was so cute I smiled almost all the time. Although we didn't know all the small details of Choco's and Milk's afterlife - how they were able to come back as humans or why only for 50 days, I was totally OK with it. Because the execution was so great that I didn't care. If you are here for the logical part turn around right away. But if you came for the fluff, cuteness and great chemistry packed alltogether in one you will be more than satisfied.
I have to praise all the actors - they did amazing for their debut roles. Not to speak about their visuals and chemistry (the last scene at the cafe was a cherry on the cake).
It may be "just" a short web drama but it was one of the best BLs I've seen. Koreans (Strongberry specifically) did great once again.
On The Director Who Buys Me Dinner Mar 31, 2023
Like someone else wrote - it was half-cooked. It was too rushed and for those of us who haven't read the manhwa it was a little bit confusing. Who exactly was Denis, what does it mean "a God's child" etc.
But the visuals were nice and I don't feel the MLs chemistry missing like some other viewers. It's just sad that it was too short to let us fully enjoy what could be a nice and heartwarming love story surviving for the centuries.
On Where Your Eyes Linger Mar 30, 2023
This is really a gem. I remember when I was watching it for the first time, I was like feeling all the butterflies and the tension between MLs was on high level. I loved the seductive Tae Joo and how Gook was always weak against it. The acting was top notch, as expected from Korean actors. You can say that it's short and not much happened but... they just did it right. I can't explain it better.
Will gladly rewatch it again.
On 609 Bedtime Story Mar 30, 2023
Only a thought - the Ohm's aura as an actor seems too exagerated imo. Like they are always putting him in such macho roles with many abilities but the execution is limping to that extend it becomes silly and awkward. At least let him properly kiss that woman when he is supposed to be such a great seducer! Also some extra boxing / fighting classes wouldn't hurt him.
And am I the only one who would like to see him with someone else than Fluke? Just of curiosity... Maybe we would be surprised. OhmFluke worked OK for me in UWMA but in other dramas they are getting more and more flat and boring. Their first bed scene in EP1 (if we could even call it like that) was so unnatural that I was like wth??
Dropped for now after few episodes, maybe I'll come back later, if there won't be anything else to watch.
On DNA Says Love You Mar 30, 2023
Very interesting story with a new idea. I even tried to google the chromosomal abnormality, wondering if such "disease" really exists. Draggy at times and the ending was too rushed, but it kept my attention the whole time. Fresh Taiwanese acting saved it, and I liked the cafe - would gladly come there and enjoy a cup of latte.
On Ai Nhai Mar 29, 2023
Title Ai Nhai
I watched this only bc I watched the whole series so I wanted to wrap it up. And my opinion hasn't changed. Nhai is still acting like a spoiled child constantly dreaming about food and I still don't get it what Ai loves about him. It was so awkward I thought about dropping it after first 20 minutes... but I withstood it. Bye bye my braincells.
On Never Let Me Go Mar 29, 2023
I really liked it. It was not flawless but enjoyable. I am not usually into mafia/underworld stories with all that kidnapping and shooting stuff but I liked this one. Finally not another uni setting.
Of course I liked Perth and his role, he is good at everything. I liked the OST, especially the English songs, they fitted the story very well.
And I liked Pond. He catched my attention in Fish Upon the Sky and I was excited for him playing Palm. His voice is very captivating and he is good in potraying various emotions imo. Much better than Phuwin.
And thumbs up for Phuwin's English and Mandarin.
Overall I recommend watching this, at least for the change of the setting. Above average Thai BL.
On The New Employee Mar 27, 2023
The only downside of this light and short story was the missing chemistry. Other than that I enjoyed the adults-acting-like-adults script without any excessive drama.
On HIStory5: Love in the Future Mar 26, 2023
I didn't watch this as a part of HIStory series after reading some comments. It was just another Taiwanese BL fo me but not one of the best I must say.
I liked Vincent and Hai Yi but something felt off with their boyfriends. Especially Johnny - one moment he is chasing Hai Yi and the next one he is still planning to go back in time and is sending him to the blind date. And what's with Wynn and his sad puppy face through the whole show?
I binge watched it in 2 days bc it was a Taiwanese BL and I do like them a lot. But the story could be a lot better.
And about the kissing - I thought I won't see any bad kissers anymore in 2023. But here they are... *facepalm. The bed scenes still had those Taiwanese vibes but were too rushed and too rare.

Really slooow burn... Or maybe I like BounPrem more than WinTeam...
I didn't really care about the three side couples (although WanTul caught my attention a little bit) and story was mediocre... until the confession scene. It was nice and believable. (PLEASE SOMEONE SHOULD BAN SINGING IN DRAMAS!)
It's obvious how comfortable the MLs are with each other but the script was too weak for what we all hoped will be an amazing and breathtaking show. Anyway - I've got my shot of BounPrem so I am OK with it. (not that I'll rewatch it either)
