Title Heart Signal Season 8 Spoiler
Despite already spoiling myself with this week's Ailin-Lechen situation, I found myself crying with Ailin & Jue in that one scene. I think it's just more heartbreaking because DouDou is truly the sunshine of the group, she gives so much energy and positivity to everyone all the time that it's weird to see her in any other mood. She has such a big impact on the group that the moment she was a little more quiet in the family dinner, a bunch of people like Jiao, Jue, Long, & Luyuan noticed. It's just more painful to see the always happy & bright person breakdown into tears. Even more upsetting knowing she's on the receiving end of someone who isn't willing to properly communicate and is purposefully avoiding her. I feel frustrated for her. I get that he did send some signs but the way their relationship was developing, where it was definitely mutual attraction for a decent while, she absolutely deserves a direct conversation and rejection. This is not the type of scenario where their connection can end by Lechen simply avoiding her.

I think you’re being a little unfair here. What you’re calling “red flags” could also just be differences…
With the friend situation, she explained that she figured the friend had something going on and that's why she only kept requesting every few months. She didn't say she didn't accept rejection. After all, this friend was stated to be very close to her before college. Doudou said she would have backed off if the friend straight up rejected her, but that never happened, and now they're back to being friends so clearly Doudou's actions did no harm. For avoidant people it may have been too much, but for some they may just pull away from people while struggling but secretly wish someone would check on them. If the friend stated their reasons told her to stop contacting, she would have.
Also, does she need a proper reason to like him? He's clearly attractive, and she seems to enjoy their interactions, and that's why she's pursuing him. Never once did she describe him as something he's not.

I like your comment. You weren't biased to them. If people have a bias they'll be oblivious. Though, don't know…
I honestly prefer Doudou over Yuan but you can't deny that Yuan is definitely Lechen's favourite out of the two right now. Both women seem like great people so I'm not upset. Viewers need to stop with fanwars over real human beings that are more complex than just the 1hr screentime we get each episode. The love square is a little frustrating because Chichi and Yuxing clearly prefer each other rather than the two others that are also involved, but due to Yuxing's ambiguous moves, Chichi is feeling doubtful. Either way I am almost certain Yuxing won't pick Yifan in the end, he just seems too timid to actually reject her.

Title Heart Signal Season 8 Spoiler
I think the Doudou-Lechen-Yuan love triangle is definitely going to end up with LeYuan as endgame. I could feel it from the moment the two of them went on the train date. They both emotionally connected on a level that clearly made an impact. Not only that, Lechen wrote Yuan's name on the date card first and didn't even write Ailin's yet despite Ailin being "first" in terms of how long they've pursued him. And in the latest eps it's even more obvious. Doudou is completely different to him, but they're able to have a great time together and that's what attracted him to her in the first place. But thinking long term, their personalities aren't compatible enough for him. Whereas Yuan is comparably less hyper but she matches Lechen's wavelength and they are very similar in personality and temperament, and are able to have deeper conversations. Which is pretty much exactly what he's looking for.

Title Twelve Letters Spoiler
First of all was it ever revealed who Shen Cheng's father was ? Was it the classmate that they saved from the…
Yu Nian no longer has a father in the new timeline because Tang Yixun didn't go to jail and meet her biological father like he originally did, so he doesn't know about her existence and thus never adopted her.

Title Twelve Letters Spoiler
after finally getting through that. i really enjoyed the first 3/4 of the show. but by the end I felt like the…
Now that you mention it, there is a possible plot hole since in the first episode, we could see original Tang Yixun waiting by the mailbox for a long time for a letter. So there must have been letters in the original timeline too. But to be fair, the original timeline would have been the same without the letters since the future kids couldn't even warn them about anything until the very end.

this drama is like if better days was in a time travel mystery genre because the leads' characters are so alike (delinquent caught up in the wrong crowd and always getting in fights, outcasted bullied schoolgirl who just wants to graduate highschool to escape her current situation)

I'm watching When Destiny Brings the Demon along with this and wow the two completely different voice dubs for Yinglu's characters are so jarring

I wouldn’t bet on how long the couples will last, on shows like this we’ve seen it all: solid couples breaking…
I've only watched s6 & 7 from this show, but for the most part i think it was obvious which couples had a stronger foundation on the show vs who didn't. Depending on how sincere their conversations were and the topics they talked about. Obviously right now we don't even have any decently formed couples to even make a judgement of but i do have bets on certain pairings in certain love triangles, we'll see lol
On Heart Signal Season 8 Aug 27, 2025
Honestly I don't see many long lasting couples coming out of this season but I do feel that almost every single participant this season is a genuinely good person. The comment section is calling certain people red flags but i don't see it that way at all. Some express themselves a little differently, but that does not make them bad people. I doubt they'll end up with a partner here at this rate, but i truly wish XiaoJiao-RuiLong-Doudou find a partner that will treat them right, even if it's not on this show

I've been shipping them from the start i cant lie their chemistry is fire

The episode where the new guy joined the show has been my fav since this season started, and I really like him too he's one of my favorites already. I like the self-assured way he carries himself, the way he can naturally continue conversations while still sounding very authentic. He has a very confident aura about him, but at the same time it's not too much and not too 'domineering alpha male'. I'm glad he's in the cast compared to the rest of the introvert men lol. I also really like the new short hair actress panelist, her reactions are so fangirl and adorably dramatic.
As for the Duodou-Lechen-Yuan love triangle, I'm very much a fan of Duodou so I'm rooting for her more, but I also really like Luyuan as a person, i think she's a very authentic person that knows what she wants and does her best while remaining respectful. So I'm happy with whatever outcome. Lechen seem like a nice guy, but I think i mainly like him only because i love the way he interacts with Doudou. I think her and Rui Long would be an interesting match too, but they defo need more interactions first and Long should actually make a move if he is interested. I love Rui Long & Jiao's friendship sm. I think part of the success of a good dating shows is genuine friendships being formed within it.
On Legend of the Female General Aug 23, 2025
I have a couple things to say about that tiny plot twist used in episode 35 which prevented the leads from getting married.First of all, LOVE the concept of it as a device to deliver angst and shownhow much the leads love each other. However, the execution was rushed and straight up confusing. Like, it makes perfect sense that the king doesn't want the two greatest generals of Wei united in marriage. But the way he went about it, forcing Xiao Jue to deliver the message to He Yan and threatening his family if not? That was so strange. Because until then, it seemed the king and Xiao Jue were on good terms. But suddenly he pulls this very cruel rule just for what? To upset Xiao Jue even more? It just made no sense. I wish they fleshed out the king's character more because the rest of his actions all kinda aligned the same way except with this one moment. And this rule lasted one episode. They return from war and then suddenly they can marry. Not a single peep from the king and his thought process whatsoever. Like was it supposed to be a reward from winning the war? I don't think that's enough though, since they've already won many wars and proved their loyalty to Wei multiple times at this point. Like make it make sense.

Maybe it’s the script, maybe there’s too much going on to fit everything well into 36 eps, but the show’s…
I like the drama and I agree 😭 i'm having an emotional disconnect when it comes to their sadder scenes, it's probably because all the mini subplots are so rushed. Like the shifu-queen subplot, we barely know these people and suddenly they have a tragic love story. If it was hinted at earlier, if He Yan's shifu actually had some sort of depth the first time we see him, it would have been better.

Yeah sounds like the hidden identity concept is done much better in the novel. Sigh, I really hope there comes a day where they remove censorship or at least slacken it, the plot quality overall would be on another level

Probably because people grow up and the voice changes.
But they still met at during the scene where the Xiao dad died. Where 'Rufei' had the same voice as before, and suddenly his height & voice & pretty much personality changes at court. You'd think someone as perceptive as Jue would've noticed
