I was happy with the two finalists this season compared to s1 so I wasn't too tense watching the finale games. But oh my god, the finale was so intense. Both of them were literally neck-and-neck until the very last minute, and even then it was based on one leaving it up to fate and the other playing based on how well they knew their opponent. I'll say the games in s1 were much better than s2, but the players themselves were undoubtedly much smarter in s2 and THAT'S what ultimately made it more fun to watch. I'm happy either way because the person/team I was rooting for in s1 won, and the person I was rooting for in s2 also won.
apparently this show is made for JY to meet her candidates. The fact that she has wayyyy more screen time than…
She has the most screentime because throughout the whole show, multiple men have been interested in her. First it was Jimin and Woojae, now it's Jimin and Sangyeon. She is attractive because of her looks and the elegant way in which she behaves, as well as her very impressive job. You may not like her, but there's no need to insult her just because she gets more screentime. It's not her fault that she's popular among the male contestants. In every dating show, the person with multiple love interests will undoubtedly get the most screentime.
Haneul's dedication to Jimin was admirable at first, after a point it became too much. She has been direct about her feelings multiple times to him, and he has never truly reciprocated them or hinted at a possibility between them. Like in episode 10, where she asked if only the cardigan was pretty, and he avoided answering the question. Then she continued to repeatedly ask the question when she knew he heard it the first time and avoided it on purpose. Take the hint!! It's different with Jimin x Jeyeon because although Jimin is very straightforward and open about his feelings for her, Jeyeon IS reciprocating those feelings to an extent. The preview for ep11 just annoys me because I don't get the point of continously expressing your interest in someone who is visibly not interested back
Yes. I also started to like tinno. He was actually a very smart person with high observation. He gave Many important…
I agree, Tinno was definitely the one holding the group together. Now that he's gone, Sohui & Kyuhyun have become swayed by 7High and played against Hyungyu, despite him supporting them both from the beginning. It's funny how 7High and Hyungyu are both manipulative, but Hyungyu gets more blame for it because he controls his emotions and looks calm most of the time. They don't seem to realize that 7High's overt reactions and emotional outbursts are part of his manipulation tactics.
it's so funny how hyunggyu here is seen as this super rational, unemotional player that's just focused on winning the games but in the dating show that originally made him popular, he was the most romantic 😭
Damn I was rooting for Tinno he was one of my faves :( 7High's entertaining but he can get a little overboard when stressed, so I was hoping Tinno would beat him in the game but unfortunately 7High caught his gameplan. The only ones I'm rooting for now are Hyunggyu & Sohui, but I have a feeling they won't make it to the end. But overall this season's contestants are a much better group than s1's so I'd be okay with whoever makes it to the end
The way Yoon Sohui looks so much like the female version of Yoon Jeonghan from Seventeen I'm starting to wonder if they're actually long lost siblings bc they look identical
?? Justin most definitely tries to speak in Korean when he can and its been showcased numerous times where he's…
Okay fair enough haha, i get he obviously has a different upbringing since he was raised in the west but i guess it's just something that will personally irritate me either way because im also a bilingual who speaks English better, but I barely speak English around native speakers because it feels rude to them.
?? Justin most definitely tries to speak in Korean when he can and its been showcased numerous times where he's…
no need to get mad ?? i literally said in my og comment that it's just something that personally irritates me because fun fact! people are allowed to have different opinions!! and i think his way of thinking about the language barrier is rude, simple as that
?? Justin most definitely tries to speak in Korean when he can and its been showcased numerous times where he's…
Sure he may be trying his best but then again Why join a Korean show that involves strategy and lots of communication if you know you can't communicate in that language well ? He literally said in his interview that the contestants must be smart so they'll probably be able to speak English. That just comes off as him expecting that they'll cater to him tbh
This is definitely just a personal thing that has nothing to do with the actual show but it annoys me how much English Justin speaks. He joins a Korean variety show, set in Korea, and speaks Korean about 30% of the time? It just seems inconsiderate because everyone else has to accommodate to speak to him and it's like he barely even tries, he mainly just speaks English
Not really a fan of Haneul, she was a bit too sttong on that date w Jimin, especially since they'd only known each other for a couple days at that point. Like yes, express your feelings, but in a gentler way. You could tell Jimin was flustered by it and clearly it didn't move him that much. I also don't think she really has any feelings for Chanhyung, she's just choosing him because he likes her.
Back in early 2024, when I heard they were going to straightwash it, I planned to drop it. But then I heard speculation…
I believe Jiho, the actor playing Heesu, was freshly 18 when they filmed this drama so it's better off that they didn't, considering his costar is 6 years older than him
Despite all the changes the writers did, it was truly nice seeing Heesu & Seungwon come to life and watching their love story through those great actors. I'll probably reread the manhwa just to see them again
it's interesting how I've seen many people say baekjin's a "good guy" and defending his actions or whatever when…
I guess that makes sense. They will ignore the fact that Baekjin literally put Baku's father in jail, threatened Sieun with Suho's life, was the reason every Eunjang student was bullied, and was committing literal crimes through the money laundring & bike stealing, all because he didn't put a main character in a coma😒
it's interesting how I've seen many people say baekjin's a "good guy" and defending his actions or whatever when he's just as bad as beomseok, if not worse. both have sad backstories which influenced their bad decisions, yet the way both characters are treated by viewers is almost completely different. the kdrama baekjin's backstory & motivations weren't even fleshed out that well either compared to the webtoon (from what im hearing). i want justice for my boy beomseok because season 1 actually spent time developing the main leads into multi-dimensional personalities, but most people chose to ignore his complexities and brush it all into one blanket statement. but here we have another version of him in s2, who is arguably less developed as a character (i blame netflix) and he's getting so much love. is it because of his ending or what? do people like him more because he had a tragic ending, while beomseok was just sent abroad? neither one had a proper redemption arc either.
I also don't think she really has any feelings for Chanhyung, she's just choosing him because he likes her.
