His mother tried to save him, right? From what I understood. Or did she try to kill him? that's why he's asking qq why she's trying to save baoer. And his question iss not rhetorical it seems. He's genuinely curious.

Girl's going yapping her wreckless mind out in an imperial court packed with powerful people. And no matter how cute and quirky it seems, not getting whipped or stripped of her general rank in this situation is how you shouldn't extol every dumbness of your important characters for the sake of keeping them important. Like wtf? That chancellor would easily put you in jail for disrespecting the court even if you hadn't. Why are you still not learning, babe?!

Great perspective. I didn't think it from this angle. The guy is practically a tool for his grandfather to gain power and no one really loves loves him. Maybe they care deeply for him as a friend or comrade but he doesn't have what the other characters have here. Even qimin was deeply loved by yuanqin as a brother even though owing to mistaking him as his brother; he couldn't kill qimin at the end because of this love. Poor lonely guy wenkan. Love the guy.

Never seen a buffoon puppet emperor like this before. The actor is good at playing the character.

I feel suffocated on behalf of wenkan for having to do what he's doing because his grandfather has pledged allegiance to qi min so he can take power from the chancellor.

It's like yuanqing is destined to be killed by one person so the whole universe has been conspiring to protect him until then. I can't explain any other reason for him to be still alive after everything. Or luck.

This happens when the writer gets carried away elevating a character. But seems she stops this habit after apologizing to wenkan. So I'll consider it a small win. Not ideal but manageable.

Another actor other than dengkai i would like to see as a main lead in a drama, normal length not the mini ones, is wenkan. He's a good actor and so freaking gorgeous 😍

As long as she didn't do it again I'll take it as lesson learnt.

The acting is pro across the board, something I'll give credit to the director for.

Yes. And even wenkan went to her later to apologize to have misunderstood her and have said those harsh things to her when she was only doing that to stop him from taking a rash decision 🤦🏽‍♀️ that just invalidates his very justified anger before and validates her actions and her apology feels like her magnanimity.

I understand the importance of the information but i just think it's placement is a bit inorganic. Just saying she saved him from drowning is natural unless asked how she did it. Especially in a time this old a girl as smart as her would've been extra cautious hiding her mouth to mouth method. Unless it was accidentally spilled. It just felt like awkwardly fitted at the end of the sentence just for the purpose of leaving breadcrumbs.

Ok so i have to say this: i don't like the story letting changyu act wreckless and even take liberties with everyone's right to choose, without consequences. Like the first time she kidnaps yuanqing and holds him hostage for food we find out he anyway would've been rescued from that place by his people if she hadn't done that. Next she drugs her husband and ends up killing the sui big rock. Next she knocked wenkan and took down the rebel prince. Like she ends up getting rewarded and no lessons learnt for her amateur wrecklessness done out of good intentions. I love her but this is becoming an annoying pattern.

I know it seems fantastical but i m really enjoying watching this itty little do bong soon take down the big guys.
