Same! I didn't find any drama interesting until last night when i randomly decided to watch "Affinity" , its a chinese short drama . I went into it with 0 expectations and that it won't be my cup of tea bcuz i'm someone who usually avoids short dramas ( this one is my first ) . The plot is not making any sense and yet i'm hooked . Its ridiculously bad but then so good at the same time that its making me question my standard . But whatever it so fun and the chemistry between leads is so feral , the kisses are WILD ( like the wildest i've seen in a while in a cdrama )and i'm literally questioning how the chinese censorship let this pass while they cut even the mere wedding scene of our ZhaoMu 😭.

And i liked Blossom of Adversity too , i watched it back in May and it won me over and ended up becoming on of my fav drama .

I honestly didn't see this coming! I randomly clicked on Affinity after seeing some reels, fully expecting it wouldn’t be my cup of tea. As someone who usually avoids short dramas (this was actually my first one!), I ended up binging all 18 episodes in one sitting. I’m still a bit shocked at how hooked I got. It’s so ridiculously good that I felt compelled to write a review to help others decide if they should dive in lol .

Right? It’s wild how people think that’s an acceptable way to critique a show. Using that word to describe an actress playing a "cute" role isn't just an opinion—it’s just plain toxic and bottom-tier behavior.

Imagine being so worked up over a 2025 rom-com performance that you resort to using slurs. That says a lot more about your character than Esther’s acting.

We can disagree on her acting, but using slurs like that is bottom-of-the-barrel behavior. You don't need to insult people with disabilities just because you didn't like a fictional character's vibe.

Exactly!! Their obsession with this drama is on another level. We loved this drama so i understand why we are still revisiting the page, but what's their reason?? They claim they don't like the show yet keep coming here to insult us all . I'm getting sick of this hate cycle ^⁠_⁠^
