will they attend any awards show together for this drama?
There are rumors that Esther and He yu may attend Weibo Gala/Night which is going to be held on February 5, 2026! So let's wait for the official announcement and the guest list!🤞

I am a girls girl but the female lead in this one is just a let down for me, apart from being with the guy does…
I see where you’re coming from, but I actually view her character differently. To me, her choosing to stay in Thailand or skip Canada isn't a lack of aspiration—it’s a conscious choice to prioritize what actually makes her happy. Not every female lead has to be a 'career woman' to be considered strong; having the courage to follow your heart and build a life from scratch in a foreign country is a different kind of strength entirely.

I also don’t think she’s just 'following' him. While he’s street-smart and dealing with the dangerous syndicate stuff, she provides the emotional stability and home he never had. Even her offer to take care of him in China shows she has the brains and the will to plan for them—she’s just ambitious about their shared future . To me, she’s not a letdown; she’s someone who knows exactly what she wants, and right now, that’s him.

I guess we can agree to disagree on her motives, but I personally see her as a character who simply values human connection over a traditional career path—and there's a certain kind of strength in that, too.

Thank you!🤍 I’m glad the 'noble idiocy' breakdown resonated with you, it’s such a tricky trope to get right…
You're right! In the real world Jiang Mu would have blocked his number and never looked back. 😂 I think that’s part of the 'drama magic', we get to see a version of a relationship where someone is patient enough to let the other person truly heal and change, which rarely happens so cleanly in reality.

I totally agree that Jin Zhao’s growth was the saving grace. If he hadn't fully owned up to his mistakes, Jiang Mu's forgiveness would have felt like a weakness rather than a strength. Do you think the show would have been as effective if she had been 'harder' on him, or would that have ruined the vibe of the story?

Your review was posted over a week ago and had been stable, it was suddenly pushed down through downvotes and…
Yeah! You are absolutely right .

I hope the person who's messing with your review takes a good look in the mirror and realize how childish, petty…
Exactly!! This is so childish 😂 but I've decided to ignore it. I won't give them the attention they want. They can act childish but I've to act like an adult to put an end to this mess.

It definitely has its emotional moments, but I wouldn’t call it a 'heavy' angst-fest. Most of the tension comes…
I totally get that! This one definitely won't do that to you. The chemistry & the tension between them is the heart of the show, and you actually get to see them together as a couple for a good while. It feels way more rewarding than the usual slow burn!

Rest assured, you get plenty of couple time! Their chemistry is electric from the start, and unlike many dramas, they actually get a significant amount of screen time to be a solid pair! Infact they spend a good chunk of the drama actually together, and the ending feels earned and complete, not rushed at all.

Is this show heavy on angst. I don’t mind that I just have to prepare myself. I don’t mind helpful spoilers…
It definitely has its emotional moments, but I wouldn’t call it a 'heavy' angst-fest. Most of the tension comes from Jin Zhao’s background as an underground racer—his situation is pretty desperate at the start, which leads to some 'noble idiocy' later on (where he tries to push her away to protect her).

Minor Spoiler: There are some misunderstandings and a bit of a 'push-and-pull' dynamic in the middle, but their chemistry keeps it from feeling too depressing. It’s more of a 'growth through struggle' vibe than pure tragedy.

Great, thorough review! And very insightful explanation of the often frustrating noble idiocy trope. I was looking…
Thank you!🤍 I’m glad the 'noble idiocy' breakdown resonated with you, it’s such a tricky trope to get right and I love that we agree on his logic being flawed due to his upbringing. It makes him feel so much more human. Do you think the show handled the trope better than most dramas, or did it still frustrate you a bit?

Also thanks for that correction on Jin Zhao! You’re absolutely right; the distinction between a professional athlete and a desperate street racer really does change the stakes of his early decisions. I’ll keep that in mind!

First they mass downvoted mine , and now they are mass upvoting it to make me look like the bad guy here , so that they can hide behind! Just leave my review alone guys or do you want me to delete it to make you happy? My other reviews never blew up like this before so leave this one too . I posted it bcuz i loved the drama so much and you can see that bcuz i'm here since the very first day the ep 1 was released . I'm on MDL for the good stories and not this mess , so PLS don't play with it by mass downvoting and upvoting.
