Does anyone else love rewatching their fav shows as much as I do? I swear, every single time I hit replay, I find new details I missed and get even better ideas for my posts. It’s like the drama just keeps giving! 😭🙌
Let me know what you guys think of the new title! Does it fit Jiang Mu and Jin Zhao’s story better? OR If you have better ideas, feel free to tell me! ❤︎
If you’re really only here for the ML, you’re doing yourself a disservice by spending 18 hours focusing this much on an actress you can’t stand. So just chill and see her in a positive light bcuz at the end of the day she's not just an actress but a human being too and she can't be perfect in everything (infact no one is) .
Life is too short to give attention to the haters & their opinion! 🥂
I think the reason it felt different for me with Jin Zhao is because of his specific headspace. Since he grew up being told he was 'bad luck' or a 'burden,' he didn't see himself as a partner anymore—he saw himself as a weight that would pull her down. The age gap really matters here, too. She was only 19 or 20, with her whole life and dreams ahead of her. He couldn't bear the thought of her spending her best years as a full-time caregiver for a guy who didn't even know if he’d walk again. In his mind, he wasn't being a hero; he just felt like 'trash' and didn't want to ruin her potential.
You’re spot on about the 'selfish' part, though! Most people would stay because they need that support. But Jin Zhao was so broken that he actually thought leaving was the only 'kind' thing he had left to do for her. It’s definitely a tragic way of thinking, and I agree that in real life, a move like that usually ends a relationship for good.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it’s a really interesting debate!
The 'brother-sister' argument feels like a reach once you see how their relationship actually develops. I also think people mistake Esther’s 'cutesy' vibe for a lack of depth, but like you said, that’s just her in her glory and that's how the director wanted to portray a 19-20 yrs old sheltered girl!
It’s definitely a 'pseudo-incest' trope, which isn't for everyone! But since they aren't blood-related and were separated for a decade, a lot of us view it as a fated romance rather than a sibling one. It’s okay if the plot isn't for you, but for others, the complicated history is exactly what makes the tension so high .
The audacity of her asking Zhuang Xu, 'Aren't you humiliated?' when he went to find NXG after the wine incident was actually laughable. It’s peak hypocrisy! If anyone should be embarrassed, it’s her for constantly acting like she has a 'special connection' with him when it’s clearly one-sided. She’s literally manufacturing drama and then crying about the consequences. I can't wait for her to get a reality check!
