I'm sorry, but Runyu will always be Pitiful, Selfish, and the "Bad Guy" imho, no matter how complicated he was. I've only watched the drama, I haven't read the book. He just did too many manipulative things to Jin Mi, no matter what he could've chosen not to go in that direction. I do recognize him as a victim to the writing (or fate).
