From the author's list, I recommend Dance of the Phoenix, The Great Ruler, The World of Fantasy, and Duoluo Continent as great examples of that genre. Fight Breaks Sphere and Martial Universe are on hold for me, for now.

Thanks to the author for giving a brief, yet informative article. I hope people can read this and understand what they like and why and then watch dramas that may not be good, but personally connects with you as a person.

Sounds like the "evil sister" is actually the main character, that's also a troupe (Cinderella's Sister). Do the sister's make up at the end?

I really liked the first season, the second season was trying my patience, but I enjoyed it. I'm not too sure about this season; seems like they are just milking this drama. At least the main leads are still in it.

All the main characters and some supporting characters have some element or romance in the story. It's just enough for me for this type of story.

Overall story was good, there was a lot of variety. For example there wasn't just one main villain throughout the whole thing. In addition to this, the main characters goes through different phases and just as much sacrifice as the ML. It's not perfect, but a decent fantasy drama to watch.

FYI- with fantasy dramas with different realms, they usually have a less interesting mortal world arc. This one was the same, however I wasn't bored at all like some other dramas (wishing they were 10 episodes shorter for eg Eternal Love of Dream).

If you like those, there's recommendations on their pages. For example Eternal Love of Dream, Love and Redemption, and No Boundary. I'm waiting for this drama to complete first, before I watch it though, but I think it'll be worth it.

I recommend watching both seasons together and think of it as one drama, it's pretty good.

Yep, I was surprised when the Long Ballad had more than 40 episodes. I'm more than happy that Season two for this drama has come out on the same year.
