I get what you are saying, especially in Ashes of Love. She acts with her face, however it seems different than how everyone else acts. I'm still not decided if it's good or not, but I have watched about three of her dramas.

Here's my opinion, don't waste your time on this one. I'm relatively optimistic with whatever I watch, but I couldn't find one good thing about watching this movie. Angst with no reasoning, and then flashbacks upon flashbacks to help you understand, but in the end you don't care about anyone.

I don't know how to define slight romance. Every episode has romantic moments, however I at episode 24 and they haven't come to anything. There's a triangle with the father, and I like both of the women. The romance is builds up slowly, but it's definitely there and there are many romantic moments. No kisses yet.

You can't go by that, there are many dramas labelled Season One that are fully complete. I still agree with you though, I think it's highly likely they'll have a season two, mainly because of the popularity. In addition to this, the way Hu Lie Na is written into this adaptation.
