This is exactly how I've interpreted it as well! It really didn't feel like a dream to me despite the filter.…
Yes - JW deliberately brought his friends back to the restaurant a second time hoping to see JH way back in Episode 1 and learned that he sometimes gets a drink with his boss. I think he went back in Episode 3 after the Therapy Session and started making it a habit when he wanted to see JH - until they actually have their first phone call and JH told him to reach out anytime he wants.
Stumbled onto this drama two days ago and I have already binged all 6 episodes twice . From my rewatch - I am fairly certain that we are witnessing events in chronological order except for the therapy sessions which is actually just excerpts from a continuous dialogue from ONE therapy session that likely took place during the events of Episode 3 - right before the two leads meet on the subway - which gave JW the courage to explore a deeper connection with JH.
Why: - Same clothing - The dialogue flows continuously when the Therapy Scenes are watched back to back and within context appear to stem from one conversation where JW and the Therapist are reconnecting after spending time apart (after the Army? After High School?) - JW speaks about JH and how they aren’t yet close - after the kiss on the beach, he pulled away to sort out his feelings, but this conversation helps him see that JH makes him happy so he starts to pursue him on the subway (likely saw him walking to the subway from work)
There is also a soft filter in effect when they meet on the subway (mimicking the effects of prescription drugs?).
Later, in Episode 5, it is pretty clear based on the shots and clothing that JW did not speak with the Therapist again after the confrontation with his father and reaching out to JH to run away to the overnight beach trip.
The soft filter for episode 6 mirrors episode 3 and indicates he took additional drugs (to calm down/deal with depression?)
I don’t think the beach trip with JH in episode 6 is a dream. I think it really happened - and when we get future Therapy Scenes it will be in response to his feelings regarding JH’s near drowning .
The writer definitely have some personal grudes with their father, like not a single father of the leads is a…
I do not understand Void Tyrant’s motivations - there is clearly something that is haunting him about how he ascended to the throne - but his facial expressions are not giving anything away. Empress seems to have something over him.
Was he offended though? My reading of him was that he thought her attempts to lie to him were cute and endearing, and he was happy to play along and indulge her - and he acknowledged that she was caught between the void and the immortal realm.
There is no good solution because ultimately she's going to have to chose between him and her sister. He's going…
I think it was also implied that CF allowed QK to open an apothecary because it could be a way to garner sympathy among Void citizens in high places of power (securing her safety) and garnering him favour.
I’m also enjoying the politics in the void, and very impressed that Qingkun has found her niche and proven to…
I am thinking that the Dads are not as horrible as we suspect. Emperor was looking with longing at his youngest daughter’s quarters and I think he knew she created the chess pieces. My guess is that he treated her poorly so that she could survive the expected hardships in the Void Realm. There is probably a similar hidden love by Void Tyrant for Third Prince.
Guys, am confused.. I've thought 1yr on immortal realm = 100yrs or smth like that on mortal realm? But Empress…
I think they are counting in human years, when they state that 6 months or a year has passed. Events make it seem as though only a few days or weeks have passed in the immortal realms.
Personal Theory: KMC is the daughter of Ko Yurim and NHD agreed to raise her in Korea because something tragic happened to her parent(s). There is a lot of time spent on the relationship between KYR and NHD…there must be a big reveal related to this friendship
