Considering he could find out from Chengyu - maybe. He certainly knows the assistant confessed. There is no indication of whether that confession also included the fact that he was paid by someone else to frame CC or if he is just taking the fall and all responsibility himself. I am guessing the later.

In the series, there are no scenes showing that the parents know that YY’s ex BF was deliberately framing CC. Chengyu and Xiao Shuai likely do - but everyone else is aware that the Assistant turned himself in with a confession, and CC was therefore released and found not guilty.
I've been watching dramas for years now and still haven't seen The Untamed. Since I mostly enjoy romance shows…
It is very romantic if you are in tune to the symbolism and micro expressions used throughout - in a way it is very transcendent. It doesn’t have traditional displays of romantic affection (kissing etc….) but the looks of longing, the sacrifices made, the ride or die motivations of the main leads who are complete soul-mates… it was one of the most romantic stories I have experienced.
But, there is enough nuance that a casual viewer can ignore it.
I knew going in that it was based on a BL, so the scenes really jumped out at me as being tinged with romantic interest.
I worry that the editing was a direct result to the intense backlash and controversies that were surrounding the main leads, during the show’s release, and were requested to minimize the potential for future harm that could affect their careers - perhaps even recommended by legal teams who were pulled in to protect and defend the actors against slander.
A Director’s Cut, however needed in order to live up to the original intentions of the vision of the show, would surely put the actors back in the cross-hairs for attention - so I worry that permission to release such a version may never come to pass.
I shrieked when I read this! YES, PLEASE give us a directors cut! Give us all the deleted scenes! Give us a better…
There is an agency with editing rights, it appears, that has different interests in how the show is released, than from the vision of CJD and the production crew. Something appears to have happened behind closed doors during release because of all of the controversies - and they released a more sanitized version of the back-half of the show.
Man... This just makes me want to cry, my heart really really hurts. If it was frustrating for us, what more to…
Do you think those scenes exist somewhere? Or would they have been destroyed by whoever had the rights over editing / distribution? I still don’t understand if it was jealousy or attempts to protect the actors from continued harassment as they were subjected to so much intense scrutiny and attention.
I wonder if the changes came during the 5 days Episodes 11 -12 were updated or after, potentially when the BTS was stopped after the rise in negative attention directed towards Wang Shuo.
I highly doubt it even though there is a hidden "25th video" on their episode playlist on YouTube. The…
I suspect the 25th episode is just the original 24th that first aired and then was made hidden bc ZY was not credited as a voice actor - and they haven’t taken it down.
i heard we are getting special episode is that true and when will it be released
I have not seen anything on official channels - where are you getting this info? If anything, it appears there was a decision to end the “coupling” of CC/WSW actors during the actual airing of the final episodes so they could focus on their solo careers and I can’t imagine future content or them appearing together in the near future - considering how much heat that pairing creates.
Ep 23 -I'm confused. If they know who falsified the company finances and fraudulently caused Chi Cheng to go to…
Do you know how trials work? You need evidence and cannot just make accusations. CC signed the tax paperwork. That’s why WSW paid off Lin to turn himself in and give testimony to confess his involvement.
i think its because they shot the series backwards, last episode (21) was their first kissing scene together on…
First scene shot was episode 9 in the hospital. They filmed multiple scenes at the same location often on the same days. The Clinic scenes were filmed last including the breakup and episode 11 confession/kiss scene.
In the original novel, the scene where WSW escapes from CC’s father is quite amusing, but the drama adaptation…
I’m kinda hoping that CC actually rescues him from the house and walks him out of there in a mirror to the 11th episode when WSW claimed CC in the bar and pulled him out.
I understand it was the writing but it was a bit frustrating to watch — especially the jagged jump between "cry,…
I think he didn’t intend to go just to make WSW feel bad, but when he wasn’t welcomed and instead asked what he was doing there - he leaned against the door and went on the attack.
Ok happy they reconciled but i feel it was weird and rushed they didn't talk as i thought they would , like explaining…
WSW admitted that sometimes he has a hard time saying how he truly feels. Then they agreed to talk about things in the future and be open and on each other’s side.
