šSeriously... SCD messed up my entire BL schedule that I had planned for myself š I was chilling, waiting…
I get you completely. I canāt really enjoy other series the same way either when I get hooked on something. And right now, even though Iām watching other BLs, and thereās one Iāve been waiting for ages thatās really well made and totally my taste, I still canāt fully enjoy it because Iām stuck on our boys here š„¹
And like you said, I donāt even know if I want to move on from it, at least not yet. So yeah, itās probably better to watch it later, once some time has passed, and youāve kind of detached from Sammyās. Only then will you really be able to enjoy it and appreciate it properly. Either way, Iām really glad I convinced you to watch it, and Iāll be waiting to hear your thoughts š
I havenāt watched Ossanās Love, but Iāll definitely add it to my list. Iāll probably get to it at some point. Iāve heard from a few people that itās really good.
In my almost 19 years of reading bl novels, excluding dark toxic characters in manga and manhwa BL, i honestly…
Still, Mo Ran actually has a redemption arc while Lu Feng doesnāt. Mo Ranās story is about becoming a better person and facing the consequences of his actions. With Lu Feng, the story doesnāt really try to make him redeem himself. He's just fucked up till the end š
This is one of the very few times where I actually like the series more than the novel, at least for now. I really like that they toned the characters down a bit because it makes it easier for me to accept them together. I also really like the small changes they made to Yi Chenās character because they make him much more likable to me. In the novel I honestly couldnāt bring myself to like any of the characters. Here he doesnāt feel as pathetic and helpless as he did in the novel.
I'm way too traumatized to form an opinion on this show but I wanted to share some of my thoughts so that I don't…
No honestly I get you. Dark romance can be really fascinating when itās done well because it pushes everything to the extreme emotionally, but sometimes the line between toxic obsession and actual love gets so blurred that it leaves you emotionally exhausted after every episode.
And honestly thatās exactly why I personally love dark romance in general. It explores emotions and dynamics that are messed up, intense and uncomfortable in a way lighter romances usually donāt. Double Helix is especially brutal because the show doesnāt really soften the damage. The tension and chemistry are insane, but at the same time it makes you sit with how disturbing the relationship actually is instead of romanticizing everything completely. Thatās probably why it feels so addictive and uncomfortable at the same time. Youāre basically suffering every week but still counting the days until the next episode š

Iām with you 𤣠The more toxic and awful they are, the sexier š¤¤
