Not a clue. There's absolutely no good reason for you not to watch this.(And plenty of reasons for you to watch😌)
Fair point, I can understand that. I would probably do the same if I hadn't watched it while it was airing. But it really is such an amazing series that it would be a shame not to give it a chance. I hope we'll get the long-awaited official announcement soon. For now, they are still promoting the CP.
I miss them too, especially today... Btw, I still haven't stopped rereading the novel since the last time we talked…
Haha, no, not confidence, I wouldn't go that far. I don't know, they had mentioned multiple seasons in a livestream before, and based on the pacing of the first season, it just feels a bit more likely to me. It's just a gut feeling 😁
Also, the budget they would need for a season with 16 to 20 episodes would probably be pretty big. Anything shorter would most likely affect the quality, and you know very well that this is the last thing they would want. Of course, three seasons of 9 to 10 episodes each wouldn't necessarily be cheaper overall, since every new season comes with its own production costs, but it could be easier in terms of funding, scheduling and managing the risk.
I think splitting it into three seasons could actually make more sense. It would give them enough time to develop the story properly without rushing the pacing, while also giving them opportunities in between to maintain the project's momentum and generate revenue through sponsors, endorsements, concerts, fan events, etc. Especially for a project that relies so much on a strong fandom, keeping the audience engaged over a longer period of time can be a huge advantage. So I don't really see it as a certainty, more like a feeling based on how the first season was paced. But if they want to preserve the quality, I think more shorter seasons might actually be the more realistic option.
I miss ChusanLiuyi soooo much, my precious in-love babies... I really wanna see them date and cuddle and do couple-y…

I have no idea how many episodes Season 2 is going to have, but if they decide it will be the final season, it better be at least 16 episodes, with each one being at least 50 minutes long! I'm basing this on the pacing of Season 1 and how much of the story is still left to cover. And that's assuming they're only adapting the main story, which I think is what's going to happen. I don't think they'll adapt the extra chapters. My guess is that they'll take some elements from the extras and include them in the main storyline, like they already did in Season 1.
But I have a feeling Season 2 won't be the last one. I think they'll keep the same pacing and cover another third of the book in a 10 episode season, more or less.

Even without a Season 2 (which I highly doubt, considering the actors have repeatedly said there will be one. But I'm not going to try to convince anyone until we get an official announcement), it's 100% worth watching. Unless you prefer to wait and watch both seasons together once they're both out, which is completely understandable.
Can someone spoil me, because everyone is mentioning s2: is it ending in a cliffhanger?
I’d say it’s different from a simple cliffhanger, because they’ve left quite a few plot points unresolved. It feels more like they’re setting things up for a continuation, like a season finale rather than a series ending. And it makes sense, since they do intend to continue with a second season, and the novel they adapted from still has a lot of material left. This season only covered about one third of the story.
Do you think there's a chance they might announce s2 at the concert? (Yes I am delulu)
I can’t say for sure because I don’t really follow other CPs, but from what little I’ve seen, I do get the impression that they’re promoting XiZhao A LOT! They must be bringing in quite a bit of money I guess 😅
Do you think there's a chance they might announce s2 at the concert? (Yes I am delulu)
Yeah, they are 😅 It's actually pretty normal when a series does well. As long as there's still interest, they'll keep doing promotions, brand collaborations, and events.
Do you think there's a chance they might announce s2 at the concert? (Yes I am delulu)
Well, all the rumors are coming from fans, so apparently they’re just that — rumors. The good thing is that the boys are still confirming season two, and I remember Zhao saying during a brand livestream that we will definitely have season two this year. Of course, he might have been referring to the filming of season two, which honestly seems more likely to me, but yeah... It’s been almost three months now and we still don’t have anything official yet. The only thing we can do is wait 😩
To make you feel a little better, I know three months might feel like a long time for us, but it’s actually not that long when it comes to productions, especially in China. They usually try to make the most of a CP’s popularity while the hype is still there. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we get the official announcement right when filming starts, or maybe even after they’ve already started shooting.
Do you think there's a chance they might announce s2 at the concert? (Yes I am delulu)
No, 'cause I've heard rumors that they might have another concert in Bangkok in August. I really want to believe we’ll hear something by September. Lately, they’ve been promoting them so much! They’ve had brand collaborations, events, photoshoots, promo videos, concerts… honestly, it’s been nonstop. It feels like we’re getting new content every single day. From what we can see, they’re still heavily promoting them and taking advantage of all the attention they’re getting right now.
Guys, they're releasing the entire season 1 on YouTube. Starting today new episodes will be made available to…
And, and... it's the perfect excuse for us to rewatch it for the nth time 😁 I'm also really happy that more people will get the chance to discover this gem 💛
Use whatever you want, we all (well, I) appreciate your dedication to counting 😌
I know, sweety. I’ll try not to disappoint then 😌 I’ve somehow turned this into a little ritual now, so I might as well keep going 😂 I hope I won’t have to count too many more weeks before we finally get at least an official announcement or some filming news 🥹
is the novel different from the drama? was thinking of reading z novel first...
Yes, there are definitely some differences between the novel and the drama, but honestly I think they work really well together rather than one being better than the other.
The drama brings so much through the actors, their chemistry, the way they portray the characters, the music, and all those little details you can only get from seeing it on screen. But the novel gives you more insight into the characters' feelings and thoughts, so it adds another layer to the story.
I’d say go ahead and read the novel first if you’re interested. Just don’t skip the drama afterwards because it’s absolutely worth watching too. They each have their own charm and I think experiencing both makes the whole story even better.

I don’t know what I’m more emotional about, what you said or your new pfp!
