Of course it’s also because of his looks, the character he portrays, etc. The little bit of blood and that overall badass energy he gives off is just the icing on the cake. He’s just so hot to look at 🤤

Exactly! You’re one of us 🤣 And honestly, it’s way more common than you think. I’ve had this conversation with a lot of women before. It’s basically a trope at this point.

Hahaha, I already asked my psychologist friend about it and she said it’s not concerning at all! Actually, she thinks Liuyi covered in blood is insanely sexy too 🤣

Although I do enjoy our deeper discussions about directing and character interpretation, I’m going to answer this very differently. From the very first trailer, not even the first episode, the moment I saw Liuyi covered in blood in that scene where he’s slaughtering people to save the Azure Dragon, I would’ve watched it even if it had been dubbed in an alien language 🤣 But yeah, jokes aside, I do get what you mean, and usually bad dubbing bothers me a little too, even in Chinese dramas where lip sync usually isn’t an issue. But this series had so many good things going for it that it genuinely didn’t bother me at all. The audio quality was actually pretty good throughout the whole show anyway. And like I already said, I absolutely loved hearing the language 😉

I don’t get why you feel bad about watching it without subtitles 😅 Honestly, I wish I was a polyglot and knew like five or six languages, preferably Asian ones, so I’d never have to read subtitles 😅

I think the lack of lip sync felt a little weird to me in the first couple of episodes. After that though, I got so into the series that I barely even noticed it anymore. Plus, I was reading subtitles anyway, so I wasn’t really paying attention to their lips all the time when they were talking. But I genuinely love hearing your language, especially in songs 💛 It sounds much deeper and clearer to me than Mandarin. I honestly don’t remember ever liking the sound of a foreign language this much.
And that's why this show isn't for everyone... Not everyone can understand the depth of the characters or that…
I’m not offended, I definitely share some of the responsibility, I was the one who started it after all. Anyway, as long as we’re doing well, it’s nice to have these fun little arguments every now and then, even if they don’t really make sense 😅
And that's why this show isn't for everyone... Not everyone can understand the depth of the characters or that…
You’re right… Since you’re so good at reading people, next time I’ll come to you for advice before I say anything, now that we’ve talked nicely and actually understood each other here 😁
And that's why this show isn't for everyone... Not everyone can understand the depth of the characters or that…
What an honor that was? You even went through my profile! I’m genuinely touched 😁 And like I said, genius! I’ll do you a favor and tell you that you’re talking to a 35-year-old so you don’t feel bad 😘

Well that's why I challenged them, because they don't understand the characters, not because they don't like them or the show, but apparently they're not capable of seeing it 😅

Chill, friend 🤣 The only one losing it here is you. I never called you names, so guess who is the one who needs to grow up. I simply challenged your opinion, but it seems like you didn’t even get either my first comment. And I’m not in the mood to spoon-feed it to you. As you leave, don’t forget to take your 4 friends with you please 😁
I said this before but PLEASE if this is not for you and you know it well , just don't force yourself to keep…
I think these series should at least be suitable for 20+ viewers (unfortunately there’s no such rating 😅). I feel like a lot of younger people under 20 are watching them, maybe even some teenagers, and that’s why we keep seeing these kinds of stupid comments. Of course I don’t mean that all young people think like that, but most of them probably do...

As I expected, you’re genius! Luckily you can tell fiction from real life 🤣 Good thing we’ve got you here on MDL, the morality police, to keep us in line (I’m using the plural because I can see people are liking your comments, so it looks like you’ve all gone out on patrol 😅)

My words 😜 I’m glad you understood what I meant, I didn’t expect that 😁 And one piece of advice, check the tags before you start a series, that’s what they’re there for.

I’ve watched two or three old Jackie Chan movies, but it’s been so many years that I honestly don’t remember whether I liked the language or not. Back then I probably couldn’t even tell Asian languages apart and everything just sounded Chinese to me 🤣

Now I’m actually enjoying this too, really! It’s been a while since I had an argument with someone this clueless 🤣
