I must say, I haven’t been this hooked on a novel since Are You Addicted? by Chai Jidan. And this one is written quite a bit better 😭

Well, I cant move on from that pale yellow liquid of Shu Langs'! I mean, that was way too much for my little heart to handle! Not! Hahaha! 🥵

Girl, take it out. I’ve read those last chapters so many times, I just started rereading the novel from scratch.

I don’t know why this woman behaves the way she does, and honestly, I don’t care. What I do care about is how she goes after anyone who disagrees with her, tries to shove her opinion down people’s throats even though it’s not even right, and acts like those who see the series as a gem are somehow problematic.
I personally really enjoyed Revenged Love. Not as much as To My Shore, but they’re completely different shows, so comparing them makes no sense to me. I’m not going to tear one series apart just to hype another.
People like her don’t seem to realize that all this hate and these baseless negative reviews don’t hurt the fans. They hurt the production and the people who worked on it. But that’s the level of thinking we’re dealing with, so there you go.

And no one romanticising FX's behaviour, nor the writer herself. Again, IT'S FICTION, can't compare it to real life, in real life no person like Fan Xiao would have changed his behaviours for anyone, that's why we like those tropes in series! If you can't handle dark romance don't watch them at all.

Couldn't agree more, I can't understand why people expect for an adaption to be exactly the same with the novel, there are so many factors involved that it’s almost impossible, even if there were no censorship or if there were more time and budget.. I'm already head over heels with what they bring us so far. And as you said, they gave us more skinship than we expected! People would never be satisfied...

I’m with you on this, 100%. And honestly, it takes emotional maturity to see it that way.
Shu Lang standing his ground was powerful, forgiving too fast would’ve been unfair to both of them. Sometimes distance isn’t cruelty, it’s a wake-up call.
And FX… yeah, he screwed up, but people who grew up in chaos don’t learn love overnight. The fact that he tried, that he reflected, that he worked on himself for a whole year instead of flipping a switch? That’s growth. Real, painful growth.
It hurts seeing so many people reduce him to just his mistakes. Some of us can see the context, the damage, and the effort, and that doesn’t excuse him, but it humanizes him.
So yeah, I see our baby FX too 🥹 and I’m rooting for him right alongside you.

I understand your point, but I still feel grateful and enjoying the series to the fullest. I will support them no matter what, because they managed to bring two of my favourites characters in life, and they did it much better than I expected. Still, it stays more faithful to the novel than the most adapted series I ever seen. 💛

I read the novel multiple times, I just think that they did a great job. You can't put an entire chapter in 15 minutes and I don't expect them to do so, I just loved the way they portraited this beautifully painful chapter 💛

I’ve read it on Chrysanthemum Garden too. Actually, I just started rereading it yesterday! I don’t excuse what he did at all, but I get why YSL made that choice in the end. And honestly, that’s what matters 💛
I’m really not ready to say goodbye to them yet 😭
We’re so lucky we’re getting a special episode. I feel like we need it, and so does the show, to finally see them happy together after everything they’ve been through 🥰
