Xu Jin is everything i wanted Fei Ye to be, haha. i love how flirty he gets sometimes. on the contrary, though, i feel like Fu Rong is more different to Yun Xi than male leads are. Fu Rong is much more playful and childish than HYX which makes the whole drama more lighthearted.
That being said though, i dont mind similarities between the dramas and characters. I enjoyed both and there is a reason why there are so many familiar faces from LOYX. i think its even safe to say that it was intentionally made like this. if the cast was completely different, people would be probably calling this a LOYX rip off but with the same cast we can look at it not as sequel but... remake? rework? alternative universe? a very elaborate shoutout? anyways, who cares as long as we are having a good time, haha!
