Omg yes! I loved Guitar boy! I wish he had bit more of a story
but well.. i feel like Kim So Hyun received more attention for his appearance in HDL than some actual actors in the drama lol. And I bet almost half of the people who tried It's okay, thats love did it for Kyungsoo :D
I have the feeling that those blackglinstery things are either 'plotholes' or a way to another manwha univere.…
i was thinking something similar. or they could be from a cancelled manhwa or something along those lines. that'S why is Dried Squid so scared of messing things up. bcs if things get cancelled they are all done
There has been some criticism about the final scene of the first episode of TharnType The Series where Tharn kisses…
to me the "lack of outrage" over Type's actions stems from the fact that we all know hes being a dick. he deserves to be beaten up, there is no question about that.
but Tharn going at him so sensually when Type is passed out is not really the same as stealing a kiss from him outside the dormitory when he's conscious. ofc, it is a drama yada yada yada but thai (bl) dramas have usually bad track record with adressing problematic things and romanticizing borderline behaviour so people are kicking around preemptively i guess
They lived at a time when homosexuality was prohibited. When their parents learned of their relationship, they…
I've currently fell into hole that is The Untamed/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, i cant afford to get into another fandom lmao! i guess i'll just (im)patiently wait for the drama :'D... mmmmaybe
If the scene is real we can say the author really likes non consensual sex scenes apparently.... I'm still recovering…
it could be written earlier but now that they know reactions from LBC they probably could do it differently (though i guess they did? people say he went further in the novel?)
i feel like their attitude to non-consensual sex stands from the position women have in society (not that men couldnt be victims, too) - which si still not that great - which then carries to fiction - especially BL fiction that caters mainly to female audience. i, too, dont watch thai dramas outside BL so i dont really know much about thai culture but the popularity of slap/kiss genre is probably quite telling. Also, i guess the seniority and power dynamics of asian cultures projects into these stories a lot.
i feel like with the current state of matters more "westernized" asian countries are getting to the same "standards" western countries have about relationships (k-dramas are much less forceful in past few years). I stopped reading yaoi mangas for a while but when i went back recently, i noticed that there are much more healtier relationships in newer yaois (unless you are reading some kinky stuff lol).
i usually say that we really shouldnt pressure other countries/cultures to stand up to our standards immediately because sometimes people are not maliciously having different pov than your own culture and it is hard to explain something if they dont see an issue... but with things like this i just cannot help myself lol

i was hoping that after that KlaNo scene in LBC, noone will ever pull this shit again (unless they really wanted to take it seriously). like... there is literally noone who thought that scene was okay but then the similar thing happens in spin off? really? :(
also, can we talk about how pure Techno was in this episode? I felt really bad for his future :((((
I feel you, tharntype had nice chemistry (even in that scene?), if it had been consentual i would love it but like this i'm just :llllllll
hopefully... but it was too long for it to be a dream. maybe it was a dream and creators just put it in so we have some naughty stuff from the begining.. little do they know that what we really want is a consent
i'm so fucking torn between "the last scene was so non-consensual and terrible thing to do! i thought you were better, tharn!!" and "it was kinda hot, ngl....." but there was no consent so like... it leaves really bad taste. the potential (of the two actors chemistry) is there tough
all in all i liked the first episode and i have a feeling that this enemies to lovers will be delicious
(i edited the comment bcs i feel like i didnt express myself fully when i wrote it initially and i didnt want to be misunderstood on this matter.)
So basically when my comment is 5 hours old lol

this story has so much potential but there are also so many possibilities to mess it up. i sincerely hope it will continue being amazing
