for the most part, LBC is pretty cute and is definitely one of the better thai BL dramas out there so if you ever find yourself "in need" give it a try :).

i'm actually quite a fan of LBC cast and out of recasted characters i slightly prefer LBC actors (except for Type. Gulf is amazing here hahahaha) but i guess it is just a matter of preference since tharntype cast is not lacking, too. it is kinda hard to connect in my head these two series ... so i just treat it as two stand-alone projects in my head lol

we never knew how many episodes we were supposed to get. the 15/12 eps was just a guesstimate based on usual lenght of BL dramas

i did plan to postpone finishing the series until it is fully out. but i didnt expect it to be done so soon...

you dont have to watch it. it is prequel related to one of the side characters of LBC. tharntype happens 2 years earlier, i believe (or 1). Type in LBC is that "wise senior who gives advices". can you believe it? haha! Tharn doesnt make appearance.
The second couple (the step brothers) has some development in LBC, so maybe you might want to check out some cuts (i think they have like .. less than 10 minutes of the screentime in the whole LBC lol). Also Techno and Kengkla have some... development in LBC. general consensus is that you dont want to watch that scene.
also, all characters are played by different actors

i meant more like some viewers romanticize it (rather than the drama itself) and fail to recognize/acknowledge the issue. i guess i didnt express myself fully.

perhaps i view mainstream thai bl drama differently to you - for me it is quite lowbrow. bl novels (and now their drama adaptations) like these in general are more of a ... self-indulgent (sometimes) erotica books for young-ish audience (and despite it being BL, straight females are the target/main readers). there is nothing wrong about this genre (it's fun, i enjoy it too) but imo it is hardly comparable with festival movies or big productions in terms of message and execution.

i think that if there are people who are willing to repeatedly engage in the discussion, even if they have issues with the story, it means they care and are interested in it. many scenes feel quite off for me but i am still kinda enjoying the show.

its about acknowledging these problematic themes (what is/is not consent etc. etc.) and not romanticizing them. if someone finds this hot, it's okay - fiction is created to explore such themes and satisfy one's curiosity and whatnot but they should be aware that if many of these acts happen in real life, it's not okay

i think we shouldnt dwell 100% on literall words as this comment section is full of people who are not native english speakers, so we are bound to sometimes not know legal definitions of words etc.

and now: definiton of "sexual intercourse", also from merriam webster:
1) heterosexual intercourse involving penetration
2) intercourse (such as anal or oral intercourse) that DOES NOT INVOLVE penetration

also, you forgot to capitalize the word "FORCIBLY" which fits a bit more into this sitation than treat.

i feel like people who watch lakorns =/= people who watch thai BL dramas. if you want to watch good/heathy straight romance or whatever, you simply pick something from different country, but BL content is not as widely spread so we "have to" watch thai dramas even if we wouldnt want to. so we experinece again and again this kind of weird cultural shock when it comes to consent and widely accepted values. i dont watch thai productions (except for BL) exactly because of these problematic themes lol

I just want to say this: if someone wants to discuss problematic themes in this drama, you (we, as a society) should not try to dissmiss their opinions by saying "there are worse things/ worse dramas/ more triggering scenes elsewhere/ dont like, dont watch!!1!" why not promote healthy discussion concerning topics in the drama, admit when there is something you misunderstood or give arguments, if you want to participate in the discussion. it's interaction with other people (even if they dont share the same opinion) this that teaches you the most about the world and how other people see it.

*lol I am aware how fake #deep this might sound under such drama this but... i just wanted to say this bcs comment section under many (BL) dramas are lately turning lil aggressive

or, consider this: he froze bcs he has PTSD, was in vulnerable position (aka naked, guards down bcs he is in his own home, literally in the corner, tharn is slightly bigger and was holding him aka in position of power) and he got hard bcs hes like .. 19. and he gave his dissent to what was happening verbally and physically.

in the end, its just bad fiction bcs the story does kinda allude to the fact that he ends up enjoying it but the begining was giving absolutely opposite vibes.

i'm on this with you, i just gave up trying to reason about this drama in any comment section at any site.
everytime tharn does something to type in his sleep i feel really odd even if type unconsciously leans into his touch im like "hm... this is .. not really ok" bcs you know that type would freak out if he was aware this is happening. the shower scene i was like "bitch this must be a dream sequence or whetever, dont even tell me this shit is real." once again, it was real... idc if he was in the novel "in denial" or whatever, but type that was introduced in the drama literally freezes whenever anyone touches him even in a non-sexual way and even if tharn doesnt know about types trauma, it's not that hard to notice when type gets into panic mode

i feel like people are like.. okay with this, bcs actors have quite good chemistry together (i can imagine that once their realtionship gets consensual, this drama will be fire. i just really hope it will happen soon), the drama is kinda funny and also has quite good production and acting. that's why they give it pass.

i had lot of fun checking out stats for various dramas! 25-34 age group seems hardest to please in general lol

it's been several days and im still so sad and confused whenever i hear something related to her death. i just cannot believe this. she was the same age as me, i watched her debut, i watched her leave the group, i was so proud of her when she came back this year... and now she's gone. my brain still cant accept this new reality

is this a soulmate-identifying marks drama we all waited for? probably not but hopefully it will be fun!

there are two versions of the novel dark and ... light-ish (still contains bullying and stuff).

the drama just started airing and we are still not really sure which way the script will go (so far it seems that it wont go the darkest of possible ways but perhaps it could be mix of both)
