The red teacher is a great special! The characters are totally captivating and interesting, and the story of the…
i'm not going to lie.... the main reason I wrote this article was that I wanted to talk about The Red Teacher and The Legendary Lackey. Their quality is so good that everyone should watch them imo. I absolutely loved the teacher-student alliance in the Red teached. It's /so/ well written...
Thanks for the article. I was always trying to find drama specials to watch but I didn't know where to start.…
I'm happy I could help you a little! Drama specials used to be a little confusing to me before i really tried them. "Whats so special about it?" "How much of a story can be told in a single episode?" "Why nobody watches them?" ... and now I'm really enjoying watching them. Turns out you can tell a lot of story in one episode!
Dance from Afar was totally weird and I loved it! Nice job spotlighting some KBS Drama Specials. I agree that…
Actually, one of the reasons why I wanted to watch Dance from Afar was becase i saw your comment in comment section stating it was weird. It made me really curious :D I think it's just because people usually don't know specials are so easily accessible and because they are on YT, people dont stumble upon them on their usual drama streaming sites. I hope now, that i've introduced this topic a little bit, people will try them more :D
Thank you for recommendations! There are so many of specials I don't even know where to begin (and despite what I said, I also get sometimes a little 'intimidated' by sometimes low-ish ratings :D)
As for season 1, I could only find 4 episodes. If there are more than 4, episodes, it can be updated (see "edit…
I watched it such long time ago that i really dont remember stuff. It just felt a little longer. But i guess it might have been because i watched splitted version. I also tried to find it on the internet and i guess it really is only four episodes
isn't this just a movie since it only has one episode that is 60min long?
it is a drama special that is released as part of a Drama Stage series that is produced by TvN where new talented screenwriters what won in a writing contest show their skills
this show was absolutely hysteric lmao. I remember how I watched it because I was a fan of Vixx and Got7 but stayed watching it for SungJae because he was so dumb. Now he is one of my all time fave idols and this was the show i've seen him for the first time ♥
four episodes in and I still don't know what to think about this season. I truly loved season 1 and I thought Arthit/Kongphop were going to be in a really nice fulfilling relationship. Now I feel like I am watching 2 blushing virgins who are scared to have an eye contact... I get it, the issue of this season will be how Arthit is scared (?) to show affection. But what the hell they've been doing for past ~2 years? It feels like Arthit is more intimate/emotional with Prem and Bright than his goddamned boyfriend....
Also, Em is still crushing on May? I really liked how they talked out their situation in S1. Why not to make them best friends instead and then let them find someone else as a significant other?? Aaahhh... so annoying.
Not trying to be a Debby Downer but I don't know if I'm really up for another story where the main female lead…
this is probably just a synopsis of the webtoon. in the end, drama can end up looking totally different (just like the bride of ha baek) .. and who knows it this project will ever be realized, it's been long time since it was anounced but since then there is no new info
i thought i would share a unique perspective. my wife is a korean drama addict. she watches 12 to 15 hours a week…
first of all, i want to say that i am really happy that you like kdramas (and especially this drama) and that you are so supportive of your wife, it's really cute and i hope you will soon find another drama you like. but i think you have kinda wrong idea about this site, people who are watching kdramas and koreans who create these dramas (and thats OK, because you are new to this). it is true that people of MDL sometimes nag endlessly and complain when they dislike something or someone, but why? it's because we, just like your wife, love dramas and know nobody in our real life who can have a real discussion about the drama with us. If it's not appealing for you to watch korean drama subbed into english, your own language, imagine how it is to live in a country that doesnt speak english and you are watching korean drama subbed into second or third language. it's pretty lonely. MDL is a place were drama fans, who have sometimes seen hundreds of dramas, can meet and discuss thoroughtly their opinions. we are not rottentomatoes or imdb where are real "qualified" critics who talk about dramas but some people spend extreme anount of time on dramas and can recognize quality. so why shouldnt we talk about it here on specialized website? It's great you find this drama charming or entertaining but maybe its because you haven't seen many dramas yet and dont know if this one has so many overused drama tropes and so it doesnt look appealing to many people. also, I dont think people who have no experience with dramas go to MDL and try to find some information about the dramaworld. if they were, they would be intimidated for sure, i agree with that. but that doesnt really happen. usually they get to watching dramas though friends/family who carefully select dramas of nice quality they suspect you might like (for example, your wife showed you the reply series, which has really high quality and ratings). so there is no reason to hold ourselves back in talking. moreover, korean tv shows have just different tradition than american ones. yes, sometimes it they have low budget, yes, sometimes they are about soft romance, yes, sometimes actors are bad. but its not because the creators see in their stories some revolutionary idea and pursue it relentlessly. they are doing it because there has to be some evening drama and because they have to make money somehow. no magic, really. and actors are sometimes bad because they dont have talent but they want to be famous and they are pretty... and koreans like pretty faces the most. trust me, we all realize how competitive and terrible korean showbiz is. especially now, when one of the most beloved singers commited suicide. there are people who are vicious when they are criticizing idols/actors and MDL is (usually) not place were such people are.
For more than half of the special, i was wondering why it is called they way it is. And then i understood. If was way more impactful than i expected it to be when i started watching.

I loved the anime so much! I cant wait to watch the movie
